'n' instead of and and just like, incoherent chatter...

I don't know, ever since I got back into writing, I get irked.

Whoa! I use 'n' instead of 'and' sometimes! It's... mimicking how I speak in real life. I also drop g's from -ing words. If I do that when I'm typing, it's generally a sign that I'm relaxed. I don't think it counts as chat speak; it's just informal. I like to use apostrophes when I'm droppin' letters from words, though, 'cause that makes 'em look like proper abbreviations.

...I really don't think that should be considered a punishable offense. It's pretty well accepted as a good stand in (Ed, Edd 'n Eddy for one).

Not using the ' or " takes the away the purpose of shortening it. That's what I don't like.

With the two novels I'm working on, I became a rather dickish grammar nazi.

They're referred to as grammar "nazis" for a reason. Not really something to be proud of. >>

I'm a southern boy, whether I like it or not. Proper grammar doesn't figure into my sentence structure much. xD

I actually 'type' far better than I 'speak'.

Also, my girlfriend decided to get drunk last night and was saying all this s**t that made me embarrassed. I was none too pleased.
