Well, I could try
I had to learn on my own how to work with gifs
So my methods are extensive and complicated
But if you're willing to deal with it
I could help
But first I'll need to try myself
Since I normally use one gif
I'll post what I have when I'm finished

Nope
Just go with Bandit's method

I forgot to reply to the previous question
So hopefully this makes up for that

Okay
So all you have to do is either:
Use fuzzy select and choose a selection
Select by color so you can choose areas with similar colors
Rectangle/Eclipse section to put the line pattern within that area of selection
Or free select

Please tell me this is making sense . u.

Haha, it's okay. No hard feelings. Thanks for helping me out this time! XD
Uh... kinda? >.< Okay, not really... crying I'M SORRY!

I want to know how to give images like that dreamy effect. Like make images lighter and almost sparkly, shiney. Is it a brush that does this or a tool. If someone could help me, that'd be wonderful.

Post an example of what you mean please.

x This person was able to give a soft touch and if you look in the picture frame, able to screen it with something or another. I suppose I want to learn how to make things look soft and pastel-like.

I'm trying new styles for my graphics and wondering what could be done differently/added to improve this image?

I may know how to get the multicolored thing going...
And if you make something like that picture above
I'll pay you five million in advance just to make all my gfxs
And an extra mill with each gfx

If you can tell me or find a tutorial about the multicolored thing, please let me know ^^

It's a new style I am attempting.
First time making a graphic like that but really enjoy it.
/finally trying new things/
If you really are serious, I would be willing to make graphics, as much as you want.
Means I get to practice as well.

It's quite simple for the multicolored thing
                                          Just use the Blend Tool
                                          Change the mode to 'overlay'
And mess around with the gradients
                                          Like so
                                          User Image

                                          See how the colors mix?

                                          And excellent * w*

Obsessive Consumer

I seriously fail at this different gradient s**t e.e
But I'm determined :/
Arrggg.

Okay, so I've finally tried to get the slanted lines pattern.
However, when I save it to the .pat file, it does not go to my patterns once I reboot the GIMP.
Am I not following something correctly?

I personally have to drag it from my images folder to the patterns folder.
A little bothersome, but should only take you about two seconds.
In order to get it to do so automatically.. I, unfortunately, would not know. =/

Obsessive Consumer

Egotistically
Wait, you can drag it?
Well, that makes it easier for me though ^^
Thanks!

Yup!
I save it as a .pat file in my image folder, pop up the patterns folder, pop up the image folder, and
drag it from one to the other, then tada~! It works splendidly. |D
