Welcome to Gaia! ::

shieeeeeeeeet
at least the blues look worth something
now let me tell you why everything green looks like straight a**
...
i don't feel like explaining
gaia's just not very good with green items and its pissing me off
there was recently a pan's labyrinth item
google it if you don't know
that's got me like hotdayum
but that item
the original green color
is only exception

oh and tektek shops
people are getting rich by making an avi for you
i think they use other people's inventories
or the display feature in the marketplace
and display the avis using photobucket or some stuff
it's...a living?

since the shop tanked, i stopped making graphics for other people
not because i don't want to
i'm just too lazy to be bothered if i'm not in an shop-like environment
maybe i should take your mindset instead of just accepting everything as a challenge :[
but i do hope you'll consider opening another shop
i miss the good ol days
plus it's summer
and i'm rusty
and also considered 'poor' and need the money to hoard
i'm currently at half a trillion

x e I I i x
i have never seen it.
no no i have not

that's strange
idk how that even works
but i am curious
puppet shall investigate :do want:

i use to try to take every good bribe
and accept everything as a challenge
but then i wouldn't finish it
and people would be mad at me emotion_awesome
like i really cared
only certain images speak to me
preferably softer images, that was sort of my forte
i'm considered "poor" as well
like tf, i use to be rich asf.
but when i get textures and pngs all redownloaded, i just might
and then put it on a flash drive so i can put it on my new desktop
when i get there.....

speaking of.
any good resources you come across lately? :3

Big Noob

pan's labyrinth is in spanish
but there's subtitles for illiterate bitches like me
watch it if you wanna experience some feels
it's p good 8/8

i guess
the shops i peeked into don't really interest me
they don't exactly have what i'm looking for
but i only looked into a handful
so i'll probably see something i like eventually
then again
i have yet to pay someone for something i can do myself so meh

you're so coolio bossu ; u;
not giving a s**t like that
i couldn't do it
i still regret that one order i bailed out on ; A;
and you probably won't remain 'poor' for long
gaia buys everything back if you give it enough time

and stop losing all your files u stoop what's wrong with you
if you haven't already checked
that thread you linked me to a long time ago is a great place to start
since i'm sure you have nothing to work with because ur kinda dumb

The Soulless Puppet

puppet has had enough feels for the year
ugh
don't even wanna...
//reminisces

why would you
unless its something amaze balls
then you can yell at yourself
rather than someone else

lol, dont sweat it
I've bailed on plenty
and still alive

hey you stoop
i have my brushes
just not my textures
grrrr

Big Noob

but these are good, non-real-lifey feels ; A;
they're good feels
spanish feels
the best kind
of feels

gaia doesn't really tickle my inspire boner the way it used to
a long, long time ago
so i may give some monies so people can make stuff for me
[/shrugs]

pssssshaw
textures are the easiest to get
everything can be a texture
even i can be a texture
but that is called...
screw this reference
just go download s**t
and back all of it up on a driver this time
this s**t's gettin real old, puppet

I am glad I found this guide. I've been toying with graphics in GIMP lately, doing things with GIFs, but I've been running into the problem of not being able to make GIFs work behind another image, like, if I want to put it beneath another still image layer and have it peeking through a created pattern. It won't work beneath another image, and I need some help on how to get that to work.

Also, is there any way to preserve a drop shadow on a GIF extension? ; -;

Big Noob

yo whaddup
there's a script available to have a gif moving in an otherwise still image
it works for gimp 2.8 if you have that
and i'm not sure about 2.6
and yes, it's possible to preserve a shadow in a gif
i'll need to see how i do that
but it is possible

I can get a gif to move on top of a still image, just not beneath.
I do have 2.8
And yay, can't wait to find out ^^

Haven't gotten around to shadow yet, but I got the gif to work! Only problem is, GIMP refuses to export it. It keeps giving me an error message about how it can't save as RGB color and how I have to switch ti grayscale or indexed. Well, it won't let me change to indexed, and I certainly don't want grayscale.

EDIT: I forgot to flatten. Okay, now my only question about it is... is there any way to keep photos crisp when saving as GIF? Cause they always get reduced to index, I think, and it just makes them look icky.

In the same tutorial I believe you were linked to, she mentions a way to keep at least parts of the image pristine.
I haven't looked at it in a while and it's all I remember.

I downloaded GIMP months ago to start making graphics again (i dont have PS anymore) but I couldn't open/use it? I'm using Mac Air btw, if that helps.

            Can't open it like:
            A. It nothing pops up when you click
            or
            Can't open it like:
            B. It takes forever to load when you try to load it up

If A. Try uninstalling and re-installing from the gimp website. Evidently there is no longer a specific file for the mac OS (I totally thought there was) but there is the possibility the file corrupted while it installed and that is your issue.

If B. Just wait. Gimp can take a while to load. Longer still if you have additional plugins brushes, textures, patterns, and so on. If you click it or disrupt the loading screen in anyway, sometimes it will malfunction and stop responding causing it to stop loading entirely.

Yeah, it says it is corrupted. And I've installed it twice already :/

            hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I installed it when it wasn't done by torrent (thank God, btw)
and back when it did have a separate mac file
So what you probably need to do is get a torrent
ORRRRR (way safer in my opinion)
            Use this link: Clicky
It could be that the torrent just messed up.
I personally have never had a problem with the link above
But if that is the problem you should follow the advice on the downloads page and find a torrent
