Born into a family of Very Scary Witches, Klaire was the "white sheep" of the family. She just couldn't bring herself to dress in all black and, worse yet, she had no aptitude for cursing or maiming or even mildly injuring. As soon as she was an adult everyone agreed that perhaps it would be best for her to find her own course in life. Along with her familiar, a quite little owl named Weslyn, she travels the world bringing hope and color to those who are feeling grey.
