As soon as Kairi saw the strange door with a Pumpkin on it she was fascinated and opened it. Falling down the darkness into a new and terrifying new world, she looked around...she even looked different. Her candy corn companion led her to the center of town, where she stood face to face with the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington.
