He stood tall in the cold wind of the snowy forest, contemplating the perfection of this white, silent night. He'd realized earlier that it was Christmas Eve, and all he could think about was his brother back home, safe from the war and cold. It was the first of many winters that Ebenezer had felt anything in his cold heart. He didn't see the shooting star as he wished that he would be able to fix his wrongdoings.
