- Yes footwork is indeed to each style of bending especially since each form is based on a particular style of martial arts which give them their individual stances. Fire being the Element of Power is the most agressive, Earth being the Element of Substance is the most adaptable, Water the Element of Change is the most diverse, and Air being the Element of Freedom is the most dynamic.
