Yeah I got this children's book in German. It was so difficult for me to read litterature back then, I should try it now that I am a bit more familiar with the language. Now that you mentioned the dancing I need a rush from literature. I loved reading books of foreing cultures and past times, also those full of adventure like treasure island! I was reading this one from Jules Verne called "The children of Capt Grant" that ha those elements to fantasize a little but I lost it. cry What would be the most interesting of those Cafes you have found?

Many white people like Latino dancing, at least in Miami or New York doesn't seem to be that uncommon. It is a very social dancing tho, and I am the opposite of social 4laugh you probably do well however. I remember a girl once asked me to be his dance partner, I was into theater, exercising, activism and dancing so I shied away but in retrospect I should've accepted. Now I feel I've forgotten all I've learned lol.

Conventions here can be big with several stands selling all kinds of merch, special guests like voice actors and a stage to have shows like martial arts presentations or anime concerts, in the biggest ones they have anime/comic figures or objects like the batmobile. Some are smaller and look more like Bazaars, can have like 20/30 stands and host smaller shows or events (like raffles) and with minor or no special guests. I like these smaller ones better, less people and easier circulation! whee

I have been missing many events as well but I hope better times come from both of us! Sadly I missed a recent big event I loved in my city due to problems sleeping/forgetting sad But I'll be on the look out for other events, and I'll try to share photos if I do go to a new one. biggrin

Exploring new areas is so cool, too bad your neighborhood is like that, mine kinda isn't either... did you discover that cafe you like by walking? My best finds were this big old looking bookstore that had a classy past century architecture with plenty of bookcases around and this German school the Goethe institute that had a library! whee

Omg doing your own dance moves is adorable, it tells you are very free spirited! Do you like Latino dance? Everyone does that around here but I'm really uncoordinated and never practice. I prefer the swing however, even if it looks kinda goofy sweatdrop I'd like to see your highway dancing one day, maybe it becomes viral and I see it in youtube, who knows? 4laugh

Lastly, even if it's not through optimism, keep up your resilience, unless your environment is a big issue better days always come. 3nodding hope bright days have come for you Callie. biggrin

I love to walk too! Like a lot! I used to walk for hours, I used to urban explore in my neighborhood (but didn't find many things interesting tho). Hbu? Also, I didn't know you like to dance! What kind of dancing? I took dance lessons but I was bad, never practiced or went to parties ;n;
