Oh yeah the banning accounts...... Like alot of stupid reasons but what can we do? sigh.
YASSSS ZOMG ITEMS WERE THE BEST and even the old gaia avi's item are the best. One day i was really happy that i could afford some of the evolving items back then.... But then in some period again it rose like grazy to 10 bil. And i was like whew i was so close on not getting the items i wanted.
I think they got rid of zomg because of financial problems and not because of that excuses" : " The game could let hackers hack you and get your money. So we need to get rid of zOMG for good for your own safety" And they said " It was difficult to get rid of it...... it was difficult???? if it was a pain in the hard to get rid of it why not try to fix it? Give it your all till you fix it well? instead of disposed it???
sighhhh and then kaboooommmmm MONEY!!!!!

XD right now i need to sell all my valued stuff for 60 bill or more to get profit of it sigh. Or avi art commissions for 10 bil each.

I always thought that zomg will be number 1 on gaia and it wont get deleted until Gaia itself will close down it's site. I was really like really disappointed!!! Like you already said it was indeed a fun and Beautiful place to hang out, make friends,earn gold, do quests. But after the inflation about the fling thing (bootygrab something) gaia went downhill. All items rose from 500 k to 10 bill and higher. It was literally one day 500 k for very expensive items (zodiacal and such) and the next day kaboom 10 bil. I can't really explain to you how disappointed i am. Kindred lake hmm..... well in my opinion it is very boring. Try it and maybe soon you'll realize what i mean. It's good that at a certain level you'll get gold and items but not the items that we wanted and kindreds animals are really expensive!! And about tektek. Gaia forced the owner of tektek for violating Gaia rules of copy right and such. And had to be down forever! Idk if Gaia changed bosses or what but the new gaia.... blergh.

Tektek was everything!!!! It always helped you.
But..... this "new avatar builder" i can't use it well. Everything is so confusing there. They should organize it more like : dresses, armmod, legmod, hair, shoes. It's so chaotic. Even zOMG the best place ever.... they took it away from us. Still heartbreaking here. Sigh.
