Keeping track
My rants and raves; my hopes and dreams.
Playing a bit of Catch Up
Wow, it has been quite a while since my last journal entry. I suppose an explanation is in order for all of those who actually read my constant ramblings. For the past two weeks or more I have been pretty busy with all of my previous obligations. This fact in mind, gaia has taken a back seat in my day-to-day life. I work on weekends, and I am out almost every night of the week. Do not jump to the conclusion I am a party animal, because the fact of the matter is my martial art classes take up the bulk of my nights. I enjoy every minute of it; so it does not bother me the least that I get busy. So I will be attempting to bridge the gap between April the 13th till now.

After my three days plus the weekend off I returned to school. This week was to be for sure no ordinary week. A group of people from The Academy of Arts came down to help us perform a play! The first day we spent introducing everyone to the group, which was comprised of four people: Carol, who was the director, Ben, the ever-faithful co-director, Molly, Costume and makeup master, and Levi, the man who filled many shoes acting as stage construction, lights and sounds, helping people with parts and more! The sophomores, juniors, and seniors sat in the gym, listening to Miss Carol. She held a list, containing the names of students and what part they had, in here hand. So she went through the list, "So who is playing man?" I promptly raise my hand and inform her, "I am the Man," I say this with a huge grin as a few students around me chuckled and gave me a high five. That the Man joke was both my friend and my enemy all week! I ended up receiving a bit more than I bargained for. Originally I was only supposed to be Man and Official, but then after seeing the lack of guy readers a few guys and I were called up to give aid to the Readers. Hmm... perhaps I have jumped the gun. I did not even explain what the play was about. The play, written by Dr. Nicky Chavers, held the title, "No Place to Flee," The play depicted Communist Russia and the dramatic changes that came about because of men such as Lenin, and Joseph Stalin. The focus primarily sat on the Christian church during this massive struggle freedom. Told by immigrants who fled to America for freedom, the play had a very heartwrenching feel and showed a church thrive and hold its faith, no matter how badly tortured they were. Carol focused on us becoming the character, though this was a little weird for me, as I played an official for communism, and a man who stood against communism, and a reader who suffered under communism. Oh well I had fun nevertheless! Especially with the part as official. The official stood on the left side with a crowd surrounding him, while another man stood on the right entraping a crowd as well. This man was the patriarch of the Russia orthodox church, attempting to fighter the Bolsheiviks in their fight to gain the church treasures. I dove deep in myself and pulled up all of my hatred and sprayed it on that stage. I demanded the church's treasure and rallied the people in my plan to destroy the Orthodox Church. The practices for the play kept me at school pretty late on Thursday and then the final production on Friday. I grew worried as many were still having trouble with ques and lines. A poor friend of mine had alot of lines and for a while it seemed like he was doomed to never learn them, but as most miracles it came at the last moment. The play looked pretty crummy till Friday when we did our first complete runthrough. One could not imagine how well this play brought us all together. We fought against anxiety, worked against hesitation, and performed with intensity. With one goal in mind we were totally unified. Our mission, to deliver a message of truth and profound thought, took priority above all of our petty problems and differences.

This is specifically for Grey Nev:
Gary (Grey Nev) played a soldier and officer in the play. Man, he fit the build so perfectly. He stood with his shoulders back and his back straight. He would stare down his nose and make you feel like you were less than nothing. His voice demanded respect; his build demanded your fear. Then to compound this Molly worked her magic and made him twice as mean looking and three times more powerful. He felt pretty proud of himself as he shot five out of the six people who die in the play, funny the only person that died who he did not shoot was me! I wanted to make sure Grey Nev received his special props for a job well done.

That Friday we all got together and prayed. Everyone who wanted just took a turn. I think we stood there for a good twenty minutes. With each prayer I felt our fervor and our determination grow hotter. It was most certainly overwhelming. The play itself went over pretty well, and everyone loved it; a few people actually got saved there! I personally felt very moved by the passion the group had while working with us and their drive for the Lord. I received an invitation to travel with them, but I have many things that I need to do over the summer so I suppose it will have to wait.

The next day I actually had to work! I got stuck with my sister, but in all reality I jumped for the opportunity; I have a great time working with her. We cite some of our poems sit and rhyme of talk about philosophy. Even though I don't agree with all of her thoughts, I still appreciate talking to her. Sunday was my day of rest, thank the stars!

The next week was your average school week. I actually managed to work a few deals so that my kendo club could get discount swords! This will eventually become a very great asset to us I am sure. I set it up with Master Shaw, who actually semi-broke our class off, but I mustered my courage and sought for his help. Despite my origins and my past he accepted my request, and we are now working to supply everyone with equipment.

I have finally set up a morning schedule for myself. I wake up and actually do some stretchy exercises and then my Iron Palm techniques. I procrastinated on actually doing it, but once I get started I am locked. Also I finally set myself on a journey to learn how to play the drums. I figured out what rudiments I would need and pray that it will take me where I am supposed to be going!

Well, that pretty much catches me up for now. Hopefully, I will not fall this far behind for a while. My thought for tonight, "Remain ever vigiliant for the signs or you will miss the prize meant only for you," Good night all!
