I've been powering through my backed up 2020-2022 art queue and am almost finished with my 2021 queue, my 2020 one is completed, my 2022 doesn't have much on it to begin with, Artfight has been rolling on this month and I am additionally participating since I do this annually.
Once I'm finished my commission queue I will be taking on the waiting list customs and then I will be taking a break after that, only posting flat sale designs to help pay bills and closing regular commissions.
I want to rework my whole art schedule and commission system to be more organized and restricted, don't take on more than I can handle, charge extra for excessive edits because I'm tired of editing something 20 times and only getting paid 40€. Groceries and gas are rising drastically here thanks to the war going on in the Ukraine so I can't stop drawing entirely and go on full break - ever, unfortunately.... but I can at least limit how many commission I take at once.
This is to ensure I get them done in a timely manner instead of leaving people waiting for several months or in worst cases, over a year depending on what happened to me offline.
When I'm on break I want to focus as well on my personal character lore that I intend to use in our Webcomic and video game finally, it's been years with no progress, it's time to change that once and for all whenI have fixed my commission schedule officially.
This is also why I've been pushing myself to roleplay again regularly as of recent. Roleplaying gives me inspiration and experience writing my own characters and developing their personalities better so they can blossom in our future Webcomic and video game. It in general gives me an understanding of personality developing as well for characters.
