Ann was woken up a little while later by the triplets
Ann~Oh…the room is still spinning…
Kiba~It’ll stop once you eat.

Ann~Hehe you kids are so cute. Where’s Zabuza and Haku?
Kiba~Tasked with finding Kakashi. Honestly, the worst idea

The triplets giggled.
Ann~As long as he’s onl scared it’ll do him good. He’ll need to come around
She tried reaching for the tray but used her left side
Ann~Alright…this’ll be an adjustment…

After they ate, Tsunade came in to check on Ann
Tsunade~Oh good, you’ve had something to eat. Feeling better?
Ann~Yeah. I keep trying to grab things with my left hand still
Kiba~We’ll make it work
Koneko~When can mom come home?
Tsunade~Tomorrow will be best. I’d like for you to stay the night
Ann~I still need to see Kakashi
Tsunade~He’ll come here. Zabuza already found him and let him you’re fine
Tenka~Was he scared?
Tsunade~Yes, so Haku had to take care of it because Kakashi wouldn’t stop screaming…
The triplets giggled.
Ann~I almost feel bad
Kiba~You’re gonna have to make up to him somehow.
Ann~Yeah, yeah. I will. Triplets will you help me make nice with my sensei?
Triplets~Yes, mama
Tsunade~I feel I should be concerned about this and either stop you or warn him about this

Ann~But sensei’s still scared

She tried to cross her arms, but at not feeling her left arm she screamed in exasperation

She rolled away from them

She gave a huff and the triplets giggled. Kisame walked in

Triplets~Sami!

He carefully placed a Tupperware of the orange fruit on her little table with the other food items.
Tsunade~Melons? I thought pie was the comfort food.
Kisame~I’m well aware that sugar and blood loss isn’t a good mix. At least this way she can still have something sweet.
Kiba~there were days where she had too much pie. Eventually settled with fruit
Tsunade~I’m glad to hear that.
Tenka~Would you like some mom?
Ann~Yeah, I would…
He climbed onto her lap and started to feed her the melon bits

Ann took the fork from Tenka and threw it at Kisame, which he easily dodged
Kisame~It’s okay if you and Zabuza call them brats but I can’t?! What the hell Ann?!
Ann~We’ve had this discussion before, fish paste. I will turn you into pudding
Tsunade~Ann…
Ann~Yes?
Tsunade~Once you are out of the hospital and thoroughly adjusted to your missing arm. Otherwise you’ll kill him

Ann~Not really. It was mental strain than anything else.
Kisame~Is that why you kept acting up?!
Ann~Even Itachi told you I don’t lie. He never lies to you!
Kisame~You are the spawn of Ane and related to Zabuza. They always lie to me
Ann~And being a mind reader, I know how you are about lies. I tell you when I lie and explain the truth later
Kisame paused a moment to consider her statement. If she was unable to be truthful with him, she always had a cover story for the moment or let her go. The truth was always given to him later when she finished her shenanigans.
Ann~Anyways, I never lie when I have nothing planned
Kisame~How do I know you have nothing planned now?
Ann~I’m still drugged on medication
Kisame shot Tsunade a look
Tsunade~Very likely. I’m pretty sure she can feel her shoulder now too. Want the morphine?
Ann~Later. Anyways, because of the trauma, a relative can control the telepathy while I cope with the stress. Like a defense mechanism

Tsunade shot a look at Kiba and he nodded in confirmation
Kisame~It feels weird that I don’t feel your thought while you’re here. Like missing an arm.
Ann kicked him
Kisame~What the hell?!
Ann~I don’t need to me a mind reader to know you made a stupid quip about my arm
Kisame growled~she’s probably in my head a lot more than I know.
Kiba sighed~the two of you are just gonna keep fighting. Kisame, go ahead and take the triplets home and get dinner ready for later. That way you can also bake
Reiketsu~First dibs on the batter
Koneko~I want cookies Sami!
Tenka~Can we also make cupcakes?
Reiketsu~Dibs on frosting too
Koneko~You already get the batter!
Kisame~If you keep arguing you will all stay sitting on the counter
They groaned but complied
Tsuande~I didn’t know you can cook, let alone bake.
Kisame~We took turns in Akatsuki. And an anonymous bake sale was a way to raise funds if we didn’t collect bounties
Kiba~That wasn’t Kakuzu’s idea, was it? Itachi’s said he was a penny pincher but…
Kisame~Deidara’s. Him and Sasori made really good pastries.
Ann~Pie?
Kisame~Don’t start that again brat!
She kicked him again
Tsuande~Alright! Enough! Kisame, go before she hurts herself
Kisame~She’s kicked me twice already!
Tsunade~Be thankful that’s all she did
Kisame sighed in defeat and stood up, still carrying Koneko
Kisame~Let’s go. We’ll make a pie in a flavor mommy doesn’t like
Reiketsu~What flavor is that?
Kisame~Not apple
Ann~You b*****d! If you thought you weren’t already my slave wait until I’m out
Kisame~If it wasn’t for the fact that I know all your tricks for punishment, I actually would be worried
Tenka~He’s not very bright, is he?
Ann~No, but Zabi does that too. Go on with Kisame. I’ll deal with him later.
They watched as Kisame and the triplets left
Tsuande~You getting riled up like that repeatedly is not good right now.
Ann~But it gets the blood and chakra flowing. It just feels bloated at my shoulder
Tsuande~It wil for a while. It’s just the tissue healing now.
Ann~Can’t you just use your ninjutsu?
Tsunade~I want you to take time to actually rest. Just relax, don’t train, and I won’t force you on bedrest, okay?
Ann~Okay…
Tsunade~I’ll see you tomorrow brat

With nothing else to do, Kiba went home and ann took another nap shortly after. She was gently woken up later
Kakashi~Ann?
Ann~Huh? Sensei?
She sat up and fell to the side when she tried to rub her eye, forgetting that she had no left arm to support her again. Kakashi smiled and pulled her into a hug
Ann~Sensei?
Kakashi~I’m so glad you’re okay…
She hugged him tight
Ann~You ******** idiot
Kakashi~What’d I do this time?
Ann~You screamed when you saw Zabi
Kakashi~For all I know, he was gonna try to kill me. Again.
Ann~He only wanted to let you know I was fine
Kakashi~He doesn’t exactly have a friendly face. His default look is b***h face
She shook her head but held him tight again before letting go
Ann~Did you worry Iruka?
Kakashi~Yeah…I…almost relapsed…
Ann~Almost or hid well?
He flinched, but pulled up his sleeves
Kakashi~Almost. I stared for a while before Iruka found me
Ann~You need to stop that when you worry too much. You still saved me from bleeding out. If you didn’t hurt, the mission would have failed
Kakashi~But you wouldn’t have been hurt
Ann~No. I would have died
Kakashi~W-what do you mean?
Ann~Holding onto him, I had a more direct access to his thoughts. The second he broke free he was going to explode.
Kakashi thought back. He clearly remembered Ann struggling to hold him still. She was definitely stronger, but since the missing-nin had a significant height difference compared to her, he had leverage to break free.
Kakashi~This really was better than the alternative
Ann~Yeah…I’m sorry that I have to lie, but you can’t know that you would have killed me too…
Kakashi~Guess we should tell Tsunade and write that report huh?
