Sora~Go slow. It looks like you hit your head pretty hard

Donald~In the Underworld
Ann~Am I hearing things or did that duck talk?
Donald~I’m not just any duck
Ann~Weird…Maybe I should just go back to sleep…
Goofy~Please don’t. It’s not safe to sleep here with all the Heartless running around
Ann~Heartless?
Sora~Yeah. They’re these monsters that steal people’s hearts
Ann~I think I’ll risk it
Donald~C’me on. Let’s leave her
Sora~Come on Donald, don’t get mad at her. She’s still waking up
She rubbed her eye and saw a creature coming from behind them
Ann~Look out!
She pushed the three to the side and casted Thunder, defeating it easily
Goofy~Gwarsh. I think her magic is stronger than yours Donald
He grumbled as Sora helped them up.
Sora~That’s cool that you’re strong. And I trust that you can handle yourself, but can we travel together for a bit just so I know you’re safe? It’d make me feel better since you look younger than me
Ann~I’m only 16, but yeah if it makes you feel better. What are you guys doing in a place like this though?
Sora~We need to have a talk with Hades. He’s causing touble again
Donald~What about you? Why were you just sleeping in a place like this?
Ann~I dunno. I just know that this isn’t my world
Sora~Oh…I know what it’s like waking up in a new area. Just stick with us then!
Donald squawked and pulled Sora to the side with Goofy
Donald~You shouldn’t say things like that. Even if this isn’t her world, we can’t taxi her to another place. It will disrupt the order
Sora~Aww but Donald!
Donald~No!
Goofy~What about just taking her with us back to the entrance? Not to the world, but just to the Underworld.
Donald~Fine…
Ann~It’s okay if you guys can’t take me back to Spira.
They yelled and fell back, not noticing she had joined their huddle
Ann~I understand that you have rules to follow. So, in exchange for not throwing a fit about it, let me help you kick a** until you go back to the entrance
Goofy~She’s scary
Ann~Good. I’m Ann
Sora~I’m Sora, that’s Donald, and this is Goofy. Why is it good that we think you’re scary?
Ann~It’s how I was raised. I’ll spare you the details. Just know I’ve got the strength to spare. Shall we go?
They nodded and pointed the direction they were headed to, and ann lead the way

Sora~Hey Ann?
Ann~Yeah Sora?
Sora~Can I ask how you got your scar?
Ann~I protected my best friend. She was fighting someone else and didn’t notice the one coming from behind. Having my best friend alive is worth losing an eye
Goofy~Then we’re very lucky to have gained such a loyal friend
Donald~But…That sounds extremely dangerous…
Ann~I am dangerous, but I’m not at all evil. I could have let those Heartless hurt you instead
Donald~I guess that’s true
Sora~You’ve gone through a lot for being 16. Is that your daily life? Doesn’t it get exhausting?
Ann~Yeah, I train like that daily, but it doesn’t get exhausting. I enjoy what I do, and I’ve been doing it since I was a kid
Sora~Wow. I know I’m a Keyblade weilder, but I don’t think I’d be able to do that kind of thing everyday
Ann~So that’s what your sword is called. Well I’m a ninja. We have to train hard to advance in rank. We do what we must to survive
Goofy~Your world doesn’t sound too friendly Ann
Ann~No, but that’s only half of the world I come from. Not the other half. Spira is kinder, but much sadder. I don’t remember a lot of what happened just before waking here. Yesterday was mostly a blur. The most I recall was eating breakfast with Dad…
Sora~I’m really sorry to hear that Ann
Ann~Don’t worry Sora. I can tell you care. So, I want you to know that there is nothing you can do to help and that is okay. You being here with me because you were worried means much more to me than your ability to take me back home
Sora stopped a moment, letting her words sink in. He wiped his eyes and nodded. Donald and Goofy took a moment to stare at her, giving each other a sideways look
Ann~Are you okay?
Sora~Yeah…I mean…Do you mean it?
Ann~I swear on my other eye
Donald~You’re very mature, but also dark. Are you okay?
Ann~I am not okay. I’m actually still panicking, but being able to wail on the Heartless is actually very therapeutic for me
Goofy~*sigh* at least we can trust her to be honest too

Some hours later they finally got through the system of caves to Hades’ lair. They found the God at arms with another man
Sora~Hades!
Hades~You again?!
This distracted hades enough for the man to push him back
Man~Fight!
Ann~Daddy?
Hades managed to throw the man to the ground and started to advance on him. Sora stood between them to fight
Sora~Get up!
Ann went to the man and helped him up to his knee
Ann~Auron?
Auron~You called me daddy?
Ann~W-we can talk about that later. Can you fight still?
Auron~I need another minute. I haven’t been thrown like that since…
Ann~Stay here then. It won’t happen again if you let us help
She touched her forehead to his before she jumped into the fray with Sora, Donald, and Goofy

They group eventually realized that Hades took no damage before the God revealed that heroes lost their power in the Underwold. The five decided to run for it, knowing they can’t win unless it was a fair fight. They fended off Hades and fought through an army of Heartless over the pit of souls until they made it back to the caves. Sora, Donald, and Goofy took a moment to catch their breath while Ann and Auron stood to the side normally
Sora~You guys are really strong. Are you some kind of hero?
Ann smiled and shook her head
Auron~I’m no hero…I’m just a…
They stared a moment
Auron~Auron
Sora~Huh?
Ann~His name
Sora~I’m Sora
Donald, then Goofy jumped on top of him saying their names before collapsing. Ann and Auron chuckled
Auron~Looks like we were fated to meet. Maybe you need a guardian
Sora stood up again
Sora~Guardian? Thanks, but no thanks. We can handle it
Ann~I clearly remember saving you a couple times
Sora~H-hey!
Auron~Ann?
Ann~Yes?
She stood up straighter, her attention on him. The other three looked back and forth between them
Auron~We still need to talk.
Ann~Yes. Uh…over there
Sora~We can’t know?
Ann~Maybe after. Sir Auron and I need to talk in private first…Please?
Goofy~Let them Sora. This seems serious for them
Sora nodded and they went to the other side of the cave
Auron~You called me Daddy before, and the way you touched our foreheads together…I’ve only done that with ane after she started to calm down…I don’t have a daughter
Ann~But you are Auron Maboroshi?
Auron~Yes. Not many recognize that I’m of that clan
Ann~You married Ane Momochi. She has a brother, Zabuza. I uh…inherited his sword after he passed
Auron~Let me see kubikiribocho
She handed it over
Auron~This has a lot of wear compared to when I last saw it…Is there any thing else that only they would have?
Ann~Oh! You gave mom a locket
She quickly took it off and handed it to him. Auron inspected the wear on it before opening it to reveal a picture of himself on one side and a picture of his wife holding a baby on the other
Ann~Mom said after I was born, she put the picture of us there. Zabuza had the locket until he died
Auron~you are my daughter then…How old are you? I don’t recall leaving Ane pregnant
Ann~She didn’t know she was pregnant when you left. Zabuza still thinks you ran out on her because of that…
Auron~Typical
Ann~I know hehe. I’m 16, 17 in a few months…If…If you didn’t know about me yet, then…you haven’t even gone to the far plane to meet mom yet. You’ve only just defeated Sin…and barely made it to bevelle to pass the message to kimahri…
Auron~What are you getting at? How do you know that?
Ann took a shakey breath and wiped her eye
Ann~Because my father told me…We’re from different timelines. Maybe even a different universe. looking closer…he’s really young…dad looks like this when I visit him in the other world…
Auron~That explains why I know nothing of you and how I can have a 16-year-old when I’m barely 27
Ann nodded slowly and looked down
Auron~What’s wrong?
Ann~I dunno…panicking?
He put the necklace back around her neck then hugged her tight
Auron~Take your time. I’m not the father you grew up with, but I’m still your father
Ann~T-thank you daddy…C-can you…
Auron~you’re too big to carry
He kissed her head and pulled her in a bit tighter. She took in his scent and sighed, finding comfort in the familiarity of this other Auron
Ann~What are we gonna tell the others?
Auron~They’re not knowing I’m your father. They don’t look that bright
Ann~yeah. That’s fair. They were pretty amazed at my training regimen
Auron~You also don’t need to be so formal
Ann~It feels weird otherwise.
Auron~Fine, but try to keep your weird sleeping habits under control
Ann~How’d you know?
Auron~You look so much like your mother I figured you’d inherit that too. You certainly got the Momochi streak
Ann~meany!
Auron~But I’m not wrong. Let’s get back to the others now. I’m sure they have a plan to get away from here
Ann~yes Daddy

Sora~Is everything okay?
Ann~Yeah. Just needed to talk
Sora~And you’re okay too?
Ann~Yeah. I was panicking again, but I couldn’t run off without worrying you. Sir Auron helped calm me down
Goofy~Aren’t we lucky to have found another good guy?
Auron~I’m…Nevermind…I’m guessing we should head out of here?

They made their way back to the entrance, and just before getting to the gates of the underworld they were attacked by Cerberus. As they ran for the door, the three-headed dog attacked them and would have hurt one of them had auron not intervened. At the last minute sora turned back before the force field appeared, trapping him and auron with Cerberus
Ann~goddammit
Goofy~you sure like to swear…
Ann~It helps relieve some stress when I have nothing to wail on…I worry when I can’t help fight
Donald~Why is that?
Ann~I’m the strongest on my team. So when I can’t fight, I worry that my friends will get hurt. Their endurance is not like mine…
Goofy~sora is a bit reckless at times, but he can handle himself
Donald~Yeah, and auron seems to be able to take care of himself too
Ann~I know…but I don’t like not being able to help if the need arises…I don’t want them to die…
Goofy~You’ve had friends die?...
Ann~yeah…and my uncle…during the line of battle…
Donald~They’ll be fine. We’ve fought Cerberus before
Ann~I pray that’s the case.
Goofy gave Donald a look but he only shrugged. Knowing nothing of ann’s world, they didn’t know what to say to help confort her until auron and sora defeated the dog.

They waited a tense couple minutes before the other two started to run towards them after weakening Cerberus. The party quickly closed the door before the dog recovered and attacked them again. After a moment, ann hugged auron and sora tightly, trying hard not to cry
Auron~ann, we’re alright. You didn’t need to worry
Sora~Why were you worried? You don’t think I can handle myself?
Ann~s-shut up…I was scared too…
Auron quietly sighed and petted her head
Auron~come now ann. We’re fine. Go with them and get something
She shook her head and let go of sora to hold him tighter
Sora~What’s wrong ann?
Ann~I-I told you…I’m dangerous…because I’ve fought others who’re stronger than me…I didn’t want you guys to die…
Auron~I’m already dead ann…you know that…
Ann~that doesn’t make it any easier…
Auron~you didn’t tell me you knew telepathy
Ann~I didn’t think it would work here. It doesn’t in spira
Goofy~come on ann, you look hungry. We can get something to eat
Auron~Go on ann. You can take your nap
Sora~Hehehe nap? I thought you were a year older than me
Ann reached over and hit him
Ann~you shouldn’t have told me that. I’m gonna pick on you now
Donald chuckled and sora gave him a look. Auron shook his head then gently pushed ann off
Auron~Go with them. I’ll stay down here
Ann~Come with us
Auron~Go. I won’t wonder off like you
Ann~Hey! I’ve gotten better…
