i had this thought today:
"the baby bird that chirps loudest gets fed most."

it crossed my mind that i can easily not give in to a dog's "bad" behavior of jumping and being overly excited. and i can keep telling the dog to sit and wait for the treat (honey gets really excited over these duck meat treats down in the office) until she actually sits and takes the treat from me in a "civilized" way.

but when my sister's boys keep being noisy and chaotic, it's not the same at all.
i don't know if i gave up trying to redirect their behavior into good behavior... or if i do try and they don't focus so it's an exercise in futility. like i might have given the order, but its repeated fails wears me until I do give in. (which is bad, i know. they're more stubborn than this dog.)

all i know is, even an excited retriever is easier for me to handle. there's only 1 of her though. hahaha.

enjoying my job pet sitting otherwise.
even if honey took me on a 30 minute walk halfway downtown when it was still a bit hot. adventures.
