-The Life-
Just a journal I'm keeping for the sake of sanity...
"Have a nice flight"
Still sick.

Isn't that just fan-smackin'-tasic? It's been a little more than two weeks now, with very little improvement. Meanwhile, I'm getting minimal writing done and thus creating a slightly upset beta.

I was watching Iron Chef a few days ago, eating Taquitos and wondering about my perfect job.

I thought I'd be great as a judge on Iron Chef. I know enough Japanese to get my by, I'm not biased, I'm not allergic to any foods, and I eat with a very open mind.

Of course, I'm not tossing my Busch Gardens job that I'd been keeping my eye on. Ah, I remember when I first thought it up. It was my 13th birthday, and Nai and my family had gone to Busch Gardens.

We were watching Sheikra climb up, then plunge down. Over and over, waiting to see if I could spot my dad and my brother on one of the rounds, when I glanced over to Nai and said this;

"I think I know what to do with my life. I wanna work here, at the top of Sheikra, and stand there for each round -- y'know how they hang over for a few seconds before dropping?-- I wanna say 'Greetings. We just wanted to take this time to remind you that Busch Gardens is not responsible for any death or injury that may occur on Sheikra. Have a nice flight,' and then they drop. "

I'd practiced that speech since, and now it sounds purely professional. It's beautiful. I even came up with a little catch phrase there at the end.

So I've got the Iron Chef thing (which probably doesn't pay well), and Sheikra, and I've also dabbled with the thought of becoming an Ice Cream lady. I've always wanted to drive an Ice Cream truck.

Of course, these would all be side jobs, for that extra bit of money while I plow myself through my ultimately desired career of writing.

It's gotten pretty cold out recently.

And it rains. When cold meets rain, you get a very displeased population, but I don't mind too much.
It is prolonging this stupid illness of mine, so I'm ticked at it for that. But I'm peachy otherwise.

I've always liked the cold. Anything to get me away from the sweltering heat of Florida's unforgiving climate. Which is probably why I'm not pplanning on sticking around for very long after I graduate.

Graduation. Y'know, I was getting my schedule settled for next year in Ms. Rizzi's office this morning. She saw my test scores and flipped, saying that I'd apparently done impressively well for a ninth grader.

Then she popped in her little sentence about how I was such "College Material" and I'd have "No trouble getting into a well respected Unicersity" and all.

Of course, she did falter a bit when she saw my course scores, but she had quickly written it off, since it was "A product of laziness, and completely fixable".

But I felt guilty, not even mentioning to her that I had no intentions of persuing a University. If I was gonna bother with college, then it was two and a half years at most at some local commmunity college wherever I happened to be.

I'm not stupid-- I'll keep my options open. If I give college a try and find it fun and productive, then I'll stay as long as I feel comfotable with for our budget. I know that it's hard to get by as an author without a degree.

But there's no need for all this planning. A University may or may not play a roll in the next five or six years of my life, but it's unlikely. And it's not necessary to stress to point.

By the way, Ms. Rizzi made me read the same paper 3 times when she accidentally deleted the information again. She's a little scatterbrained, and she apologized profusely while shoving handfuls of starbursts towards me to compensate for the trouble.
Just a little fun fact there.

Anyhow, I should probably get to it with the writing. I haven't made much progress in Chap 6, and it's been a month or so since I've updated.

So yeah, I'll get on that.

Over and Out
