“I hope you know that you didn’t need to blow that monster’s head off. That’s over kill man,” Torri said after we set up camp. I knew that I might of over did it, but, hey, I couldn’t let any monsters that grew stronger everyday live.
“I’ll try to tone it down next time,” I promised.
“If you don’t,” Toukun ran up and changed his form into a headless monster, “they will come and get you!” he yelled while chasing me. I ran from him but ran into Fenix. I fell to the ground but Fenix stood where he was like nothing happened. The sun was setting and the woods where we set up camp was looking creepy.
“What’s for dinner? I hope it’s squirrel,” I said with very little sarcasm. Everyone looked at me with a blank stare because they believed me. I knew that I was good at convincing people, but I never knew that they will fall for that. “It was a joke.” They all went "Oh" at same time. Then they started to say other things at the same time. “I’ll go get food then,” I said getting up. “Ok.” They again said at the same time. “Shut up!” I yelled. My eyes went red.
“I hate when you do that,” Toukun said sounding really scared. I turned and entered the woods. What felt like an hour, I started to smell food. My first guess was that Fenix found food for everyone but that would mean that I went in a circle, which wasn’t cool. When I entered the cleared area, I saw only one person. He had long hair and a mage’s hat, so I couldn’t see his eyes. His clothes were also mage’s gear but they were darker then normal. Right away, I knew who it was. The black mage was none other than Simon. I noticed that I said his name out loud because I was slammed into a tree by a gust of wind; I didn’t even here the words of the spell. The blast knocked out all my breath, leaving me hopeless. The last thing I remember was Simon standing over me, smiling.
