“Wake up!” My mother was yelling up the stairs. Today was my fifteenth birthday and as all fifteen year olds do. They travel to the castle to visit the king’s men to get their future based on their abilities.
My dream is to become a part of the royal army. Fighting along the king and the most powerful wizards in His kingdom. I forgot, my name is Leon Hana and as you know I turn fifteen today. Let me give a little about myself. I am the oldest child of two, and I only know who my mother is. My father may have been part of my live once, but now he is gone from the face of the world. My mother owns a flower shop which is right under the house of which my family lives in. My only sibling is Rayne, and she is only six years old.
When I got up, I entered the bathroom to wash up and get ready for my trip. Once I got into the shower I heard my mom yelling up the stairs telling me that Fenix and Toukun were here. Fenix has been one of my friends ever since my mom moved here with me and my sis. He has both a mother and a father in which I wouldn't know how that feels like; he knows about ten fighting styles with just his bare fists. He is a weapons specialist and can beat just about everyone I know, except his father. Toukun also has a mother and a father but better yet, he is a shape shifter. Toukun can change into almost anything.
“Damn, don’t you give me anytime to get one last good shower?” I yelled in the shower. Then I got out and stepped in front of the mirror to brush my teeth. As I brushed I noticed that my eyes turned a shade of gold. I smiled because that usually means good luck. Oh yeah, man I’m forgetful today. My facial appearance is described as this: I have medium size dark brown hair. My chin is somewhat pointy. My eyes are my favorite part about my face. They change color every few moments. They can be green then blue then purple and gold. Sometimes they are pink and orange.
“Leon!” my mother yelled. I ran into my room to put on my clothes. My jeans are black and white. Meaning, from the waist down to my knees they’re white, and from the knees down they are black. I then pulled on a white t-shirt and a zip-up short sleeve hoodie. My shoes are also black and white. I like the color black and white if you hadn't already noticed.
I flew down the stairs and stopped right before I ran into my mother. “Ready,” I said with a huge smile. Toukun shook his head and Fenix chuckled. I kissed her on the cheek and gave her a hug. “I’ll be back later. I have a meeting with the king.”
