Fighting with a mace + Logics of fighting with a mace:
When you are asked what you think a mace is you probley think of a metal sphere atop of a metal stick with spikes, this is partially true as spiked maces where not uncommon in midevil europe. However a mace is a tactical short range blunt weapon, yes a blunt object for a weapon. Now you may say there is no technique or art of swinging such a weapon around I can assure you there is, assume that your enemey will always lean back out of your swing so get close and swing upwards towards the back of they're heads path. Upon impact make sure your character releases they're wrist as so they're wrist and hand swing back freely allowing your hand and arm to recoil naturally as to avoid making your character strain or even possibly seriously injure they're own wrists. Doing the aforementioned will and should allow you to rapidly strike a opponent with critical and even life threatning blows.
