Beere had wandered away from were Kiros had told him to stay, he padded silently through the woods. He was going to learn more about the woods he was living in. Beere looked around and licked his lips; a growl in his stomach told him he was hungry. This would be a good time to practice his hunting, as his last few were disastrous. Calmly he closed his eyes and listened for sounds of prey. The wind blew by his ear Beere opened his eye and flicked his ear thinking it no more than an annoyance or just a passing breeze. He sniffed the air for a sent; the wind that had blown by him carried the sent of a small weak animal. He looked around; there wasn't an animal to be found though.

He stayed calm and tried to find the sent again. And again the wind blew but around him this time as though beckoning him to follow. What’s this? Beere wondered silently. The adolescent looked up to the sky it was clear and open yet "It's going to rain" he muttered before he even knew he said it. He blinked how did he know that it was so clear today. He was awoken from his thoughts with a small gust of wind. Beere shook his head.

Something stirred Beere suddenly placed himself on guard. A little rabbit hopped out in front of him. Hidden by some brush he watched the animal carefully at least the wind wasn’t blowing in his direction hid him; that well was good, for him anyway. He crouched maybe if he stayed silent it would come to him. The rabbit hopped warily to the foliage and toward the waiting jaws of Beere.

Beere leapt out quickly aiming for the rabbits neck, the rabbit zoomed out of the way, He stayed calm and chased the little creature around, Oh if Kiros saw him he would probably scold him for being stupid again. He growled he would catch it on his own; Beere went a sharp left trying to catch up. He narrowed his red eyes at the little rabbit and leapt. The rabbit had stopped suddenly and was looking around in confusion, as the wind direction kept changing the rabbit didn't know which way to go. Beere caught the thing in his jaws warm blood was spattered on his muzzle. He grinned Finally he had done something on his own.

He wondered what had occurred to stop the little animal he shrugged and continued eating. Whatever it was it was gone now...
