Eyes: Pale, almost MILKY PALE GREEN. Can definitely be a little off-putting, especially juxtaposed against his dark, tanned skin. A bit narrowed and catty, but playful overall. Thin, sculpted brows.
Hair: Naturally black, but bleached and dyed DARK NAVY, hip-length waves. Under layer is AQUA streaked with PALE YELLOW-GREEN. Tries new styles regularly and loves to accessorize.
Face: High, angular cheekbones in a heart-shaped face. Long, aristocratic nose, cupid’s-bow mouth. Clear skin, no piercings. Does enjoy light make-up and colored eyeliner and eyeshadow.

Body Type: Stands quite tall at 6’5”. As someone who enjoys eating, he is far from thin, but constant workouts and healthy habits keep him from being too bulky. He mostly appears of “average” weight.
Clothes: Has a sort of casual-chic fashion style. He doesn’t want to be uncomfortable and will wear cute, loose tops with little bright color or design. He is mostly unmotivated. Undine is not enthusiastic about the thought of being beaten up, attacked, abused, etc. He is only here for the magical beauty boost. But if he is spooked by the enemy, he is a feral animal that bites and gouges and screams to escape.

Food: Calder can’t remember a time when he didn’t love mealtime. Everyone’s gotta eat, and he was accustomed to the preparation and dinner being a family adventure. He started to associate food with a bonding activity and social fulfillment, and… probably started to go overboard with it. He loves all kinds of food: cooking, tasting, and judging. He was a husky kid in middle and high school and turned to crappy coping mechanisms in his teenage years when other kids and distant relatives started to tease him about it. That is mostly behind him now, and he tries to incorporate healthy habits alongside enjoying all of his favorite greasy, junky foods.
Hair and Makeup: With naturally vibrant hair and glowing features, it has always felt obvious that Calder should spend time appropriately cultivating these things. It was a total coin flip between culinary school and beauty school, since both are areas he already had huge interest and knowledge in, but culinary won out, relegating his cosmetology talents to something to do primarily on himself. He spends a minimum of an hour on himself every day, but Calder does consider it a particular treat when he has someone else who will let him dress them up like a doll and do their hair and makeup. What a fortunate happenstance that he has a little sister. He’s not weird; you’re weird.
Jogging/Hiking/Rock climbing/Swimming: A necessary evil and enjoyable only under specific circumstances. Calder hates workouts that are mostly sitting in one place, making repetitive motions, like any type of weight machine or home routine. Exercise is tolerable if he can at least do it somewhere fun, such as a biking trail up the mountain or a swim in a lake. It’s even easier if there’s someone else there with him, but since Calder almost never goes to the gym, he’s a little short on ‘exercise friends.’ Still, if he wants to keep eating like he does while maintaining his flawless skin and silky hair, this is just what needs to be done.
Amateur Photography: If it wasn’t obvious, Calder is an artist and a show off, so of course he likes to keep a ‘record’ of any especially impressive dishes or intricate hairstyles or fun locales he’s visited. He doesn’t have any fancy photography equipment, but a good phone has a surprisingly effective camera. Calder is on Instagram often, looking for new ideas and reading comments about how good his meals look. He has a cheap photobox and basic composition skills to make things look nice. They don’t help with the selfies, though. He takes a lot of selfies and captions them with things like, ‘hey baby you’re so beautiful.’
Virtues ▼
Protective: Calder can be highly defensive of his friends and family and is not afraid to chase people away that he thinks will do them physical or emotional harm. Also has a particular wariness of his friends being hard on themselves; that’s been super prevalent in this day and age. He judgingly scopes out his friends’ and sibling’s potential significant others, and he can be very vocal about letting everyone know if someone isn’t good enough for the people he cares about. He’s generally friendly enough, but it can be difficult to get into his inner social circle. Calder doesn’t want to expend this kind of energy and effort on just anyone, since once he’s at optimum care potential, he’ll be there to listen to your troubles at 2AM or take a bat to some a*****e’s car windshield.
Affectionate: He may not be necessarily ‘nice’ by default, but Calder isn’t afraid to show affection to the people he feels have earned it. He likes cuddling and hand-holding and playing with his friends’ hair, and just generally being in their space. Very dutiful about not leaving the people he loves alone, so none of his friends should ever feel like they don’t have anyone who will listen to them, or who they can call to come over in the middle of the night. Despite his contentedness with companionship, he is not especially needy. The only one anyone should ever expressly need is him: including himself.
Sociable: Calder is really good at putting on friendly airs. He can be chatty and pleasant and enjoys hosting game/movie/dinner nights for his circle because of course he wants all of his friends to also be each other’s friends. It’s definitely not a disguised opportunity for him to snoop and judge on people. Not afraid to try and make new acquaintances if he feels someone is “interesting” or “relevant” enough: he’ll definitely stroll up and sit at a stranger’s coffee table with them in order to better judge his personal level of interest. Content to do some initial legwork and chasing to see who is worth it, but he won’t keep it up forever for those who don’t reciprocate effort. Of course, Calder is always especially interested in people who ‘give their regards to the chef.’ His boss has to do her best to keep him contained.
Flaws ▼
Conceited: Calder loves his good friends and family and has been known to sacrifice for them- But his natural inclination is toward selfishness. He recognizes that it is in bad taste and is quite unattractive on a person, so with enough forethought he can keep it together and be a good person. But he is almost always just chasing praise and compliments from others. Has this ‘friendly, decent guy’ facade to deceive people into thinking as highly of him as he thinks of himself, and he is most likely to believe that any random passerby is way out of his league and undeserving of the affection he gives to people who are ‘worth’ it. Definitely always judging everyone; his high standards often make him feel like he is ‘settling’ for less than he should.
Catty: It doesn’t take much for Calder to turn malicious. He doesn’t take slights well, regardless if aimed at him or people close to him. Ex-dates, ex-besties, and obnoxious strangers are all easy targets for nasty remarks and barely-subtle hostility when face-to-face. Definitely doesn’t want someone to not realize that he’s been insulted/hurt. Tries to keep it to just snark and sass and generally mean-playfulness in public. Can be outright destructive when no one’s watching. Calder can also hold grudges indefinitely, so he can be a real pain to accidentally run into.
Compulsive: Calder is not a fan of routine. Yes, he has set hours of work that take up a large portion of his schedule, but outside of that, he craves spontaneity. Makes ridiculous purchases for the serotonin hit, shows up at his friends’ houses uninvited, has no set sleep schedule so definitely has very moody days from not properly caring for himself. Maybe he’d be ‘happier’ or ‘better off’ if he found a way to settle down, but that sounds dull, so if you can’t handle him, keep walking.

In the Past: Having a cool head was not a suggestion on Neptune; it was a way of life. The people were some of the most balanced, calm individuals in all of the Sol System. Days were spent tending to the vast reserves of aquatic life that swam and grew all around the submerged society, or practicing music or dance in one of the many grand orchestral halls that made the planet famous across the universe. The society was almost never the source of conflict or disagreement, and their Princess was one who knew how to speak her mind without raising her voice.
Knights sent to strengthen the alliance with Neptune tended to embody this same diplomatic, reserved, and mature air. Their primary task was organizing interstellar mediation, dispatching individuals to the other planets in the Sol System to help ease conflict and facilitate the mutual realization of goals and ideals. When on planet, they were tasked with more clerical functions, such as organizing great music and dance recitals and other major universal social functions. On some occasions, they would even be tasked with overseeing the great hydroponic farms from where Neptune received the majority of its vegetables.
The architecture of Neptune is perhaps the most unique among the planets of Sol. The society once existed in a sprawling series of pods that stretched endlessly across the surface of the planet, and those structures remain there today, accessible only at certain points marked with a special glowing teal algae. The walls of the Neptunian pods are typically clear in walkways and open community areas and then fogged surrounding living quarters or other personal rooms. Outside of these massive pods, the entire planet is covered in an ocean full of every kingdom and phylum of watery life known to modern culture and many, many more beyond that.
In the Present: For the most part the surface of Neptune is covered in water ranging from crystal clear waters where one can see straight through to the bottom to water so deep it looks black. Once a beautiful sea, fish used to populate the sea in numerous colonies. There used to be beautiful coral expanses, however many of these coral reefs have now lost their color and exist as pale husks.
In deeper water where the ocean floor can be seen, vast networks of glass domes and tubes can be viewed. With limited land, civilization colonized the ocean floor where need be. However, most of these passageways have been damaged; glass has broken and flooded much of the area, preventing exploration. Ancient Neptunians probably could have held their breath for longer, but without additional breathing gear it would be impossible to comfortably dive and explore these places. The salt water has eaten away and eroded many things, making it difficult to find anything worthwhile. If someone manages to get down to any of these lost cities, they will be unable to actually enter, but through the glass they may see old buildings, some grassy parks that have since been overrun, and some general monuments in the sections that have not been flooded.
Any land masses that Neptune had have been overtaken by the flora that grows on that land, and many structures have been worn away by ocean storms and harsh salt winds. The ocean itself has grown inhospitable in some places, becoming over-salinated to create a gelatinous patch of nearly solid matter. It is almost impossible to swim from one location to the next and a boat is a necessity to travel on Neptune unless you are a strong swimmer.
The climate on Neptune is usually breezy and temperate, punctuated only by violent ocean storms which can be quite deadly to anyone caught unawares. When these storms rage, it is unwise to be on the ocean or too close to shore. During great storms, smaller islands can sometimes be completely lost to the waves.
