Info Zodiac: Saggitarius Only daughter (so far), of the Ristadis/Umen family. Tahnee has three brothers, one of which is her twin and by far too clingy by half. She spends her days with her Mother in the garden, playing in the sand and looking for sea shells, leaves and pebbles that she can take home and adopt. Each of these things to her has a spirit. She loves the ocean, as her name Tahnee means the sound of the surf. She loves her beach home and is eager to explore the other places in tendaji. She wants to spend some time at sea as well and just take in as much of the world as she can reach to help inspire her art.
3 Base traits Magpie like tendancies: Oh a shiney! MINE! (Materialistic) Artistic - likes to express herself through various mediums Imaginative - creativity to the max Attention Seeking - she likes being the center of attention Free spirited Joyful
Plus she can actually sing like some of her kin. Except she is better than all of them and a little bit of an entertainer. Free spirited and eventually quite deadly while being a blessedly present creature with an evergreen good attitude. She can get mad and it is spectacular but it is also very rare like a black unicorn with a broken horn rare.
She has a talent for art as well and is constantly doodling or creating.
Preference: Too young
Aspirations: Elemental user? Treasure Hunter? Artist? Dancer?
History: Tahnee grew up in a smallish town in Matori nearly over run by her family members, most of which are not blood related but you would never know by looking at them, unless maybe you saw Mom and Aunty together as they were the actual sisters. She is used to playing by herself or with her brothers, after a scare she was careful about where she played alone now. She got to finally go on an all girls shopping trip with her cousin! That had been super fun. She adored shopping.
Will become obsessed with Theriar's pretty white snaptrotter Rhiannon.
Father: Umen Mother:Ristadis Brothers: Ustasis, Ultear, Izel

Solo 1 - Tahnee, the only daughter in a family of boys was reasonably sure she wouldn't have to do much more than smile to get whatever she wanted sometimes. It was great to be a girl. She knew she was pretty but she also wanted to be strong. A lot of the women in her family were strong. For example, her mother, her aunties, her cousin, and her grandmother who was too young looking but was still her grandma were all very strong and proud of who they were. She wanted to be just like them.
She wasn't yet sure what she wanted from life. She was very busy figuring it all out. There were just so much to learn and so many people, so far she really liked people. Of course, she had mostly met family members. There were an awful lot of them there on the mainland, oodles and some new younger ones too, babies were such strange squawky creatures so loud and always the center of attention. She liked to be the center of attention too, but only with her family.
She loved to play make believe and create her own story. She made a great big worlds and played out dramatic scenes within it. A born storyteller one would stay, maybe that is where her heart would lead her who knew? She wanted to try all the things! She loved books and reading had helped her imagination. She wanted very much to be cool like her older cousin Kechiri, they even looked alike, it must have been fate and she wanted to be like Aunty Nykinae and Aunty Honi too. Her mom was pretty cool as well; with twin swords.
She happened to be bored today. It was time for a good wander around the island. She felt the need for adventure. All the coolest people she knew went on adventures. Now it was her turn, she raced off into the interior of the island where an old forest still stood. It was tall and looming around her. She felt very safe and happy in the forest like she was a magical creature, and somehow belonged to it. Even though she actually lived in a house. Slowly she fell into her own fantasy world, where she was the kingdom's only princess and three brave knights were competing to save her. Each rode a different war beast; a radaku, a snaptrotter and a janarim. Each beast had colors that represented that prince's personality and all of their tack matched as well. All were rich and well rounded lordly gentleman. Each had a different piece of his lands that acted as a sort of lure. One supplied grain, one supplied fish and seafood, and one supplied regular meats from the land. It was up to her to chose the best prince, taking into account looks, personality, assets, how cute his favorite pet's name was, you know the important things to look for.
She wished that at least one of her brothers had come with her. Soon enough, she was good and lost. She knew she should have taken someone with her. Oh, well. Everyone got lost once in a while, didn't they? Wasn't that like a cofactor for adventure? The added drama needed in every good story. She got through the woods and found a small beach it was bushy, secluded and full of driftwood, it was perfect for a lair. Yes, she had her own secret beach. Well, she was the princess of the island after all. She flicked her hair over her shoulder. She deserved her own beach.
She was busy making solid fort for herself when she heard a strange thumping sounds coming from a ways off, shrugging she continued to nail in conch shell brackets. Her fort was already so cute. Her own place! She always wanted to have a conch shell hanging in her house. Suddenly her tiny house rattled and she froze not making any noise What on earth was that? She caught a glimpse of a great amphibious leg. Oh, that was a yaotl, or whatever grandpa called it. Only the scariest thing in Matori.
She curled up into a teeny ball. She was so hoping it wouldn't decide to blow down on the house. It was made of sticks, moss and happy thoughts. She thought maybe it thought that kids were tough and gamey and it wouldn't eat her. While she could hope, her daddy had taught her in dangerous situations to keep calm and do the most logical thing, which was not to scream. She would just try to keep living in the moment. She heard a deep growl, a huff some squawking then silence, and then more heavy thumps. There was more than one big one!
She hid on the far side of the tree. She covered her ears, squeezed her eyes shut and prayed the Sea Gods would take pity on her. Make her not seem like some ideal snack material. Think tough. Think chewy, think gamey. Think in edible mushrooms. Anything that was unappetizing. Fell breath fogged the inside of her fort. She wasn't sure if she was breathing or not. But it wouldn't matter if this huge nose decided it needed to come inside. Her story would end spectacularly but tragically. Beautiful princess Eaten. She'd always known she would go out with a bang. Hopefully she would be smarter in her next life. This nose bumped the fort door gently disturbing a stick. Well hers had been a good life, if a short one, she hoped her family knew that she loved them. She would have liked to have gotten to know her extended family a bit more to, it was such a darn pity.
Perhaps if she had built her forte on a different day than her fate would have been different. The Beast exhaled deeply and she caught a whiff of fishy air but she saw the snout retract, another snort and stomping footsteps coming closer than the beast retreated a ways from her hut and she decided they must consider one youngling's scent as not a threat. Otherwise her fort would have been flattened with her along with it. She wouldn't even be much of a snack to a yaotl. Didn't her parents say that her uncle used to or did work with these things? Wasn't that just a scary thought? She was going to have nightmares from this alone. Never mind working with them day by day uncle Kiyelt was a strange bug. Not like her daddy, who was sane at least he would be glad she didn't get eaten. He only had one daughter. After all, her house was full of boys. He hoped her daddy would find her before the yaotls decided they were hungry enough to bother with something small like her. It was good to be small. She wanted to be tall like Daddy most of the time. Well, she couldn't do much more down here than cower until she could be sure that the animals had actually left and we're not just lurking in a corner.
She wished her daddy and mommy were there. She curled up in a ball and thought about what she would do if she lived through this night. What were her dreams or aspirations? Who did she want to be? She didn't think beast taming was quite for her. Too much scratchies, seemed like a little too close to what she was going through right now with the biggest scariest critters ever at the door.
She wouldn't like to get dirty. If she had any magical ability or affinity develop she might be good at elemental type magic or she could carry a bow or small knives. She still wasn't sure but they sounded like the coolest things. Finally she crept towards the front of the hut, peering out at ground level. The yaoltls were standing by the tree line, two adults canoodling it looked like. Save the species. She muttered, smirking, at least they were not going to eat her. She shuffled around her hut, trying not to make any noise. It was pretty boring in there after a while she had to admit. At least she didn't have to pretend there was a threat outside. That was all too real. When she checked again later they were gone. She finally emerged and looked around waiting to be eaten by the hidden yaotl that apparently wasn't there. She slumped to the treeline wondering exactly where home was she had sort of forgotten about being lost in the first place in favor of getting eaten. She did not call out at the risk of the yaotl coming back. Staying in one place obviously had not worked out, she would find a creek and follow it downstream to a river which would hopefully lead her to settlement or the ocean and she could find her way back that way. It was a long march but eventually she heard her father calling for her, he had picked her up her trail and followed her until he found her. Gleefully she followed his voice and thanked the spirits for not eating her and sending her home to her family.

Solo 2 - An Artist's Life for Me It was a beautiful day, it would be an incredible shame to waste it so she put on her beach gear and went to go find something for her small self to do. Her family were going about their day and she had completed all of her chores so she was free to frolic. The sun blazed with bright orange light, full of warmth and welcome on her skin. A fresh breeze skittered around the sands, rustling grass and her hair in a most refreshing way. There was no one else around, and she remembered what happened last time and checked for big scary critters before finding her own corner of the endless Matorian beach. She noticed that there were a ton of crabs running about, they were bright orange for the most part except for the back of their shell which was an electric blue with black stripeys, they were so very pretty. She dragged over a nice piece of drift wood from near the tree line and set herself up a little station to watch. She pulled out her new notebook that her daddy had given her for her birthday this year and the smallish tray of watercolor paints the perfect size for a small girl that had been her Mother’s gift to her. She placed the water color tray beside her and poured a little fresh water inside the convenient water well. The crabs for their part proceeded to ignore her handily and scurried about her feet so long as she moved slowly and didn’t look like she was about to eat them. They were pretty small for lunch, so they were safe from her. The issue was waiting for them to hold still enough that she could get a good idea of where to place her paint initially. This was very important because in as much as she could lift the paint off the paper it might be hard to get all the pigment off and paper was precious, she didn’t want to ruin it, even through practice. She became thoroughly immersed in her work and lost all track of time. The male fiddler crabs with the big claw were trying to woo the females to their den and they performed an intricate, stylized dance by waving their largest claw. If another male dared invade a male’s territory, a fight ensued using the large powerful claw. It looked like being a crab and living on the beach all the time might be harder than she initially thought, particularly when the gorgeous Matorian birds came down and dive bombed them, looking for an easy meal. She wondered how they got through the shell or if they just swallowed the little crabs whole when they caught them. The biggest issue for the birds was the speed and nervous nature of the crabs. The moment a bird’s shadow glided over, the crabs dived for their burrows like their lives depended on it, which of course it did. She eventually had a decent painting going, in it were featured the three crabs who’s territory she was sitting in. The others had not spent enough time close enough for her to record their colors accurately. She had a proclivity toward art, apparently she always had, she liked nothing more than watching and painting nature which she could then permissibly bring into the house. The live crabs were somewhat frowned upon by her mother who had gotten pinched once in bare feet, much to her father’s amusement. He didn’t mind having the crabs in the house, as a beast tamer his life consisted of trying to sneak critters in past her mother. He was successful most o f the time but as critters were mobile sometimes they snuck out of wherever he had hid them and her mother found them. It was highly entertaining. Ultear was often away training to be a shadow something, he had told her but it was a complicated title so it had leaked out of her head. She had her other brothers though! They were pretty cool. She was hoping to make some friends at some point too, but there were no younglings all that close on the island where her father’s family had settled. Apparently it had been empty after the oban wars as the people on it were taken somewhere, daddy didn’t really specify where. She hoped it was somewhere nice and she wondered why they had never returned. But it was filling back up slowly now. They had a blacksmith and a merchant which was essential. They mostly grew a lot of food on the island, it lent itself handily to that being fertile and pleasant in nature if you didn’t include the odd storm here and there. She liked it, she also liked to explore the mainland ranch where the rest of her family lived. There happened to be a lot more of them than her small core. It was super neat, there was always something to do, and she would have options because everyone was doing something different and there were all of the creatures there to oogle and paint. Animals from far off places and closer to home, the Jauhar radakus, silent jungle shadows, they were her favorite and huge janarim! Lot of local snaptrotters but their snoots looked too long to her. Tahnee let her art dry by pinning it to a nice flat rock with other rocks. During the interim she walked about the crabs, mapping out their territories on another sheet of paper. It certainly kept her busy but at some point her stomach growled and demanded attention so she made her meandering way back to the house for vittles. She took her time and stuffed her face, rested a bit, read a book that her Daddy had bought for her at the local bookstore and relaxed for a moment. She would be heading back to the beach in a moment to go fetch her painting, it should be dry by now. Watercolors were so picky, you had to make sure layers were dry before painting next to them or the pigment you were working with would be sucked into the older work. She wandered down the beach, keeping a gimlet eye on all around, critters could have moved about in the interim and she was not about to have a repeat of the yaotl debaucle. She still had nightmares and always raced to her mother when she had them at night. Nearly being eaten would do that to a young girl. Fortunately she was too small and pathetic to be considered any sort of threat to a yaotl and they had been preoccupied anyway. Her painting was where she left it and she held it up to the light and pondered. Not bad at all for her first time with the crabs. “You all behave now, get along, no eating each other.” Daddy said that crabs were not picky about what they ate. She wandered around again in search of fresh inspiration on the sounds or below them as the case sometimes was. Many bivalve like critters lived under the sand after all as well as little crabby burrows. The escape hatches which were the only reason that there were any crabs left in the presence of all the birds around. Nature was truly fascinating and she wanted to capture all of it on the tip of her brush and then bring it home in a form that was less destructive then the living form. If art was done well enough it would look alive. She found a dead crab that’s shell had been left behind so she scooped up the carcass to bring home and dismember, she wanted to make the shell into a necklace. A good reminder of the perfection of this day. Maybe her brother would come with her next time. Her older brother too might eventually get a break from that training far off down the beach that he talked so much about. She sighed, she missed him, why couldn’t he have found an instructor that lived closer to their home. The sun hung heavy over the horizon, which was her cue to get her butt home for food and family time. She smiled brightly, looking forward to it very much. She deserved some cuddle time! She had worked so hard today. Daddy could help her clean up the shell she had found if he had time. She was excited to go home but that was because she had had a great day outside wandering around and seeing all that she could see. It was a way to honor the gods in her personal opinion. There were so many sometimes it was hard to keep up with. Her parents did their best to tell the stories of the gods but she still got them all mixed up, at least mom only really had one and she had been adopted at a young age so she had also adopted more of the Matorian pantheon like her dad. 1514

Spearfishing It was spearfishing season in Matori and Tahnee had decided to participate in filling the family larder this year, and the fish of quite a few species that wandered upstream were fair game. One of the ones particularly on her watch list, the purple spotted gar, loved to dwell and spawn in the lower reaches of the streams and the Delta, preferring brackish water. They were large and would be quite a challenge. Also a family favorite was the dog faced flounder, which had a long snout like a radaku, which supposedly resembled those mythical beings dogs and wolves. Hence the name. she oiled up her spears and set out, they were at peak sharpness. Now she made her way to the stream bed and warmed up. It didn't do to tackle large fish with cold muscles. She might be an artist, but like all in her family. 'No one was a bad hunter.' It was probably a requirement for being allowed in the family. Must be able to drag your self hunted carcass home for dinner or your bloodline will be banished forever. Or some other nonsense adults made up to make each other feel bad with, irregardless, she could in fact hunt and fish with the best of them. It brought her joy to help provide food for her family like she was meant to. She stood then poised on the shore, still and silent like the heron and her spear shot out occasionally, a few misses and a glancing blow but she felt that she was pretty well calibrated now and that the whole thing might just go a bit better for her now. Sure enough, having the patience to get things right paid off and she soon had a nice pile of fish at her feet. Some of them a passerby had to help her get to shore they were so big. When she had enough to keep her family busy with smoking, drying and processing, she got her cousins to haul the catch home. They would split the large catch between the two main branches of family for winter stores and the offal of course will be given to the animals as healthy treats. She had a feeling that the snaptrotters would be most excited with this piscene development. She herself was off to visit the baths, it had been a sweaty morning catching all of those fish, she greatly deserved to spoil herself a little bit. After all of that she was covered in fish slime scales and blood plus she probably didn't smell all that good either. She was exhausted but quite happy with the amount of work she'd put in. That was what counted. The hot water in the shower loosened her shoulders up. Finally she sighed contentedly with relief. The hot shower was the best part of the day no doubt 480

Class Choice Tawny had just finished her big shop for crafting supplies, this much should last quite a while. Not everything would last a year but she had put the effort into calculated as close as possible. She preferred to spend most of her time creating however, supply runs were both a fun and necessary evil but nothing compared to the big supply runs like today. It was like a special holiday for the mind. She'd had to go get a cart! She was mildly put out that Huang'we hadn't been able to join her. He had proven himself a worthy shopping companion. It wasn't every day you met a friend on the beach. She lifted the handles on the cart and brought her stuff back to her house. She would have to return the cart the next day, but that was okay. She needed fresh produce tomorrow. Anyway, it was a bit bumpy the road that was sort of annoying however, it was worth it when she got her whole pile of supplies home. She spent the rest of that morning putting all of her supplies away in their respective nooks and crannies. She took a deep breath and looked at how perfect everything looked. She had committed to painting a little bit every day. That way she would for sure get better. That was the great thing about study practice. It was hard to achieve but once done, it was the best way to upgrade your skills. practicing a a lot of supply. She grinned at her hoard and whipped out a piece of paper and some sketching pencils. She reverently laid the paper down on the beautiful wooden desk her father had made for her. He settled down and began sketching, her head only leaving the page to glance at the free range poultry in the yard. It was a good place for her eyes to rest the birds in their myriad colors, shapes and sizes always brought a warm glow to her heart. She would keep poultry one day too she was sure they were that cool, but that much a draw for her. She had spent a lot of time sketching and painting them too. But today she was after a different image. It was an abstract made of items and people's faces who had influenced her creativity in the last little while. Sometimes she'd like to add odd pieces like this one. It was an expression as much as anything, it let her create self flow freely. But the pieces she made like this mostly held meanings for her and were in turn interpreted by others using their own personal lens. It was a reflection not a mirror art was very cool like that. There were so so many depths yet to be explored in the concept. Art, of course was a way to explore, reveal and discover some of its own secrets. She usually tended toward a more realism approach with botanicals and fantasy flare. She hummed as she drew pausing here and there to correct a line then she she was on the color portion of the project you really love this part giving color to an art piece seemed to help give it life, give it spirit. It was like how art gave color to her day. This was why art would be her profession. It was the job that didn't feel like work to her. She loved the whole process, except maybe a block. But that usually happened to everyone eventually. Her piece ended up turning out pretty decently. At least she herself was happy with it. 605

Half Solo Eggs In the Backyard
Had she known how many scorra she would end up with later she might have invested in more than one kind of animal. This has been highly successful, buying the lot of scorra from her dad worked off with chores later. It had worked very well in her favor. To her. They were a very interesting bird, large and elegant with her large personalities. She loved each bird she had. Her terrified little chick had grown into a sky blue scorra with dark purple blue eyes on their feathers a paler under shade on the under feathers as well, he was beautiful and he allowed her to make a mint. With all of the score related products she was able to produce she had not been wanting for coin this year. She had also been expanding her flock, she had bought back for young female birds who were just breeding age she would let them mature for a bit longer than she would put the new critters in with the other scorra After she made sure they were not sick. As well as introducing them slowly to the other birds, animals had hierarchies and sometimes it was better to do it slowly so that no one got picked on unnecessarily. It was easier on everyone involved. That would up her production significantly. They were interesting birds with the females tending large clutches of eggs and in turn, Tahnee attended them. She made sure they had every comfort from fresh food and water to nice dust bowls and fresh greens. Her eggs were well sought after that and they were just cool being so big. They even looked nice on the counter and it amused her to have eggs that large, the creamy shell begging to be touched. She had always loved playing with round things now she worked with eggs to earn her keep. Artist wasn't the best for pay, but she did alright there too. She guessed that was something her art might eventually take off but she had the score operation along with smaller poultry for times when one needed smaller eggs. She was excited to see the final plumage of the chick she had just hatched out she wanted to keep a few females she would raise the males too but for meat it was lean and quite popular with the right spices. It was divine and a staple in the family pantry she was rather proud of it. She was half decent with butcher knives must take after her mother. The thought made her grin her mother was an excellent swordswoman Tahnee was sure that her mother would reach legendary one day, she had the discipline needed. Tahnee hoped to emulate her mother too, but in her own way. She adored both of her parents she was especially close to her mom. Tony looked very much like her mother as well. So almost everyone felt the need to point out to her. Fewer features did she pick up from her dad, it was pretty rare but could happen. Dad for the most part had her chill personality except that energy which he used for parenting them that was, he did a good job there along with her mother they made an excellent team together. One day she hoped to have close friends like her parents were, they had such respect for each other it was beautiful. They were strong individually as well which was an aspect of herself that she was currently working on. Improve yourself to improve your future as the popular saying went. This new bird venture could only be a good thing because she would learn from it no matter what. Good thing that her family had a beast taming operation and all the supplies and needs of all kinds of animals already there. Sometimes things just worked out. She adored the daily time allotted to care of her steadily growing flock and she enjoyed selling the eggs for eating and for hatching for those people interested in having birds of their own score. It took a while to get to adult size but the dividends repaved themselves quickly when giant eggs were laid. They were loved for family baking days because everyone could make their preferred dessert all at once plus the bed for the next day too. He was a cool bird with cool products the feathers were popular decor and quills. The meat was phenomenal. There were just so much to love about scorra. The loatoa patrolled the bird yard as guardian now, not a predator as it had tried to be that day long ago. Tahnee felt so at peace with the life she had created for herself. This was the place for her; art her animals food, steady work and board. There was nothing better at the moment in her opinion, home was most definitely where her heart was. Travel was fun in small doses and to cool places but she didn't want to live anywhere but Matori. 840

Half Solo A Storm Rolls Through It was a stormy day, the outdoors was behaving violently with rain waves lightning, thunder and lashing winds that bent the palms over she actually loved days like these her hippie self enjoying the fierce refreshing terrifying energy currently tossed about by the storm and it's abandoned. It was like Mother Earth was having a hissy fit like Nye could or Kechiri could under the right circumstances. She wasn't sure what it would take to even get a reaction like that out of herself. No one had ever annoyed her enough to make it happen. There were those that understood her and there were those that didn't she wondered what those eventual circumstances may be. Oh, well, it would happen when it happened or wouldn't the fates would decide it wasn't up to her. She did tend to go deep in thought during storms and this was definitely a good storm. Such was tumultuous nature of their region. None of them would trade it for anything else unless there were different circumstances. They were born and bred Matorian, she had liked the Dance Academy very much but it immediately missed home and her magical life here. Not surrounded by so many strangers. She hadn't thought it would bother her but it had besides, she loves dancing, but after some contemplation, she knew she was more passionate about her art. And as she was an advocate of following one's own path, she made sure to uphold that standard herself. The storm threatened to rip the trees out by the roots and her eyes widened. might they be in danger? No one else was freaking out though so she to continue to ignore it. She wished that Goran or Huang were here to keep her company maybe one of them would understand why she thought so much during the rain. The dirt pattern on the window was enchanting as it was super soporific. Her head bobbled, but she fought the sleep anyway. It was a while until bedtime, and she didn't want to sleep this wonderful rainy morning, away. It brought her so much joy to just watch the rains. She looked forward to monsoon season every year plus the storms that rolled in off the ocean resplendent with sea god wrath, born to ravage the land and raze the plant life least it get too uppity in the presence of a true power; the ocean itself.
It amused her to think of nature this way with meaning and dramatic flair. There was certainly something godly going on outside today. She wondered who had so drastically insulted the sea godl this time. She got out a pen and paper and started to write out a mock up of the story. How inspiring! This was so much better than swiftly falling asleep at the first few spots of rain on the window. She stayed up a bit late that night but had finished the story she would share with people later. Then she curled up and let the sweet siren call of the storm make her feel small, snug and at peace with the world, Familiar magic dancing loudly through the skies. All was normal, always well, was what the sky grumbled over and over to her that night. She woke the next morning refreshed to the continuation of the storm, excellent time to get some reading and painting and some hobbies were easier to catch up on when you couldn't go outside. She was an extremely artsy person and dabbled in many different forms of art; music multimedia, painting, drawing, poetry, knitting, crochet macreme. You name it and she had probably tried it. Her room was full of beautiful art journal of all sides sizes and marked chronologically around her room. She always had one of these journals on her at all times. It was rare to see her without it actually. It was a case of just in case, some days she didn't paint in it because there were too many other things going on but she did do it regularly. 680

mini solo Loatoa x Scorra Today was a very special day she could feel it in the air but she didn't really recall there being an event on the calendar to mark it. It wasn't anyone's birthday or anything. So why would today feel so different than? Though it felt like a good day. It was strange perhaps there was a magic in the air then. Stranger things had happened or perhaps there was a wild mage about. They were such interesting folk, quite chaotic to be around anyway. Since she couldn't figure it out. She went about her day, fate would find her no doubt. She finished her chores, correctly wrote in her diary and was off like a flash to gather inspiration for her art. She carried a little travel sketchbook with her, it was small and black and easily transportable. Within it she captured rough shapes and images for refinement later. Her feet took her on quite a meandering path that day. She was gathering lots of material for later. Everywhere was rich in blustery fall with color, inspiration, mood and story. It was all over poetic and she made sure to do a bit of poetry scattered throughout to help commemorate this very fun time. She was just sitting up for another sketch when a sudden loud noise made her pause. She looked about herself beware of danger. Matori was wild, there could be a predator nearby. She had had a close call with a yaotl when she was young. She had no wish to revisit those memories. She flipped her little book closed and went back out of the. area when a small scorra chick burst out of cover and cuddled to her chest, shivering in fear. She looked up at a hiss and saw a large Tabby, loatoa eyes fixed on the bird in her arms and body crouched ready to help its plot to get the chick. She frowned at it and caught it by the scruff as it flew through the air at her. There were a few perks to being a beast Tamers daughter, "Now is that any way to treat our friends, Tabby?" She wasn't sure if that's what she would name the beast yet but it would do for now. "One day he will be big enough to eat you should he choose." She tucked the bird in her shirt and affixed a collar to the loatoa with cyan eyes. "Congrats you have both volunteered yourselves to be my pets your escapees from Daddy's latest shipment, I'm sure yhe will be so pleased to find that I'm adopting you." The loatoa looked less than pleased but the scorra chick at least look grateful enough. She would just go get them set up at home in their own enclosures with marking bands that way everyone would know who they belong to. This must have been the highlight that the day had been trying to let her know about new friends. How wonderful it was her, first familiars all her very own. 506
