It was high time that she get her adorable little cousin out to get some proper non-beachbum clothing. Goodness knows her parents were busy running their island and it was time for her to step in and help out, she was sure that Aunty Ny would be proud of her.
"Hey Tahnee, what do you say to a little shopping adventure on me? Maybe some new clothes or art supplies hmm?"
She knew her cousin did love her art.

"Oooh shopping? New art supplies? CLOTHES?" All of that sounded great. "Okay, Im in!" She let her parents know that she was going on an adventure with her big cousin Kechiri, who she adored like the sun itself. She wondered why Kechi hadn't brought her little sister or brother along but oh well, she would take the special quality time for sure.
She hopped excitedly from foot to foot.

"Excellent let us be on our way." She guided her cousin off to the market, she had her janarim for protection and swift transportation, he would prevent anything from happening to them.
"So what have you been up to lately? How is everyone?" She figured a bit of small talk on the way there wouldn't hurt. They were not going too far. Her janarim had not particularly liked the ferry ride to and from the island and Kechi who loved the water was amused by this. He would have to get used to boats eventually.

"Beachcombing and painting mostly. Everyone is good. Mom and Dad are both going to be promoted soon so they are working very hard on that." She smiled brightly enjoying the janarim ride. Her Daddy dealt mostly with snaptrotters so a big old 'rim was a treat. Maybe she could convince her daddy to get one for her, or a radaku, or both. They certainly were not short of pets.
"Oh look there it is!" It seemed to have taken no time at all to get to their destination. Her blood was on fire as she saw all the cute little stalls full of stuff for sale.
"Thank you for taking me Kechi!"

Excellent let us get you some new clothes, you have almost worn through these ones." She liked to spoil the people she liked, every girl liked a shopping trip.
She knew she cherished the days she had gone shopping with her own Mother who had always spoiled her.
"What else do you think my outfit needs?" She spun herself around so that her cousin could get the full view.
"Its missing...something."

She was all but vibrating this was so exciting. A new look? Not that she minded her current look at all. But just the freshness of a new outfit would totally make her smile. She paused and examined her cousin.
"Hmm, you definitely need..an eyepatch. They are the height of pirate fashion and so I hear, they can be used to maintain proper sight between the different decks of a ship. Her Daddy had told her that, he too had been a pirate obsessed kid at one point. Daddy was very cool and so was Mommy. They were obviously high fashion. "You should also get a rainbow and black fan."

"Hmm an eyepatch?" She bet she could make that work. "What would I do with a rainbow fan though? I need to be able to hold a weapon or two not a fan, and I don't want them to know what I'm thinking about." Which was what fan language was all about.
"I will try the patch, no promises about the fan though."
"What are you most interested in finding today?"
"I find the most effective method is to scan first all the stalls, unless you find something you can't risk loosing."

"Ooh, new clothes most definitely. I want wardrobe options, something nice that need not get dirty and other comfy clothes for arting and crafting."
"Maybe new earrings or a necklace? Depending on what we find anyway."
Shopping was an art, you couldn't rush these things after all. THis was also her first girls only trip where she got to leave all of the boys at home! It was super exciting. Her eyes sparkled as they walked and looked at all of the available things.

"Clothes we can do for sure, follow me before all of the zore get the good stuff." People were savage about their clothing, most especially women. Fashion rated above almost all else with a lot of women. But Kechiri's Mother had taught her well. Her eyes glinted at the thought of a good clothing war.

"Battle? Isn't it just shopping Kechi?" Her cousin was a bit dramatic, maybe that was where she got it from. Her flair definitely didn't come from her parents.
She still wasn't sure what to expect. Certainly not the mad scramble for pretty things that it turned out to be.
"I feel like we need to work out for this kind of thin, at least stretch first. She was panting and in fact sweating.

She had a feral grin on her face, arms full of finds for them both. She had run interferance for Tahnee, there were some big boned noona's in there.
They had done themselves proud and she felt like preening.
"You did good kid, chip off the ol block."
Her cousin really was like her, in some ways, their personalities were a little bit different, Tahnee was lighter more airy like Honi. Where Kechi took after Nykinae and her Dad.

Tahnee grinned at the compliment. Kechi knew they were not really blood related and made it plain that it didn't matter. It made Tahnee feel amazing. Kechi was a really good person to have on your side. Because if she wasn't she would use shear brains and dogged determination to get what she wanted. Usually revenge. Tahnee wanted to be scary too, but couldn't pull it off in her current adorable form.

"What next, eyepatches?" She giggled. She was really looking forward to this. "My newest accessory."

"I'll help you pick it out." Tahnee found all of the patches she could find among the stalls and made Kechiri try on them all.
They finally settled on a plain black patch. "So they take you seriously, from the start it make the whole process smoother." This was just something she knew she couldn't say how. Being a lady pirate was probably not going to be easy for her cousin and she could use every advantage she could get.

"Yes you are quite right, this is definitely the one." She also bought a sapphire one for family ocassions, that one could be fancy, no one but she would likely even notice.
"Anything else you wanted to look at while we are here?"
Market days liek this were not all of the time, when all of the good stuff was still there mostly. It paid to come quickly in the morning after the market had had a long break.
