Personality Selective - Harlei is a bit on the picky side when it comes to all things, be it foods, clothing, and people. If she feels she doesn't like the thing in question for whatever reason then she will not tolerate it. How she responds to said thing depends on what it is. A food she will push away and not eat it, clothing she will strongly protest wearing it or will find a way to get rid of it, and if it happens to be a person then she will ignore them or figure out a way to get her parents to make them go away. Her selective nature was a learned behavior from her mother, Rajani. She saw how her mother did not like certain things or people and was able to avoid them by simply stating her dislike. With that knowledge she became a well armed little girl. Although she has been known to not like something or someone one day and the next be perfectly fine with it/them.
Facts Harlei does NOT like her hair messed with, she has been known to swing on anyone who pulls it or touches it without permission.

Harlei and her sister, Ishani, were born to Hargitt and Rajani due to circumstances different from the normal family unit. While Hargitt is her father and Rajani has the title of her mother their family is not the typical. Harlei noticed it at a young age. First, her parents do not show affection to one another the way other parents do. Of course she learned later on that it was due to her parents not having romantic feelings for each other. Second, she and her sister were a gift for their father - or at least that is how her mother explained it.
The sisters were born in Sauti at their Uncle's house since her parents could more or less be considered nomads. During their younger years the majority of their care was done by their father. While their mother was present and did make sure they were fed and well tended to she was distant. When Harlei cried to her dad and asked why she was told that her mother was not a people person. Over the years it got better, with Rajani being a bit more affectionate and at least giving hugs when the girls want them.
