Adjusting to this new life in Destiny City wasn't
too terrible. River had found this amazing little spot he could grab his drawing tablet and sit there and work on his art projects.
Pushing the door open, River's hair went in backward as the warm air from the building hit his face and caused him to shiver. He didn't realize how chilly it really was. Another shudder as he went inside and glanced around for an empty spot. It looked like just one other person at this point in time.
Another artist. That's always fun. Hands came up to clutch at his bag strap as he went around one of the canvases to a table in the back.
Instead of his own canvases, River set out his watercolors, paper, brushes, and a few other odds and ends, pencils, pens, tape in case he needed that. He filled up a cup with water and then shuffled to his table again before beginning the process of tying his hair back, out of his face and shoulders. While water color was really easy to wash out of hair, he didn't really want to deal with it.
Pulling off his coat, rolling up his sleeves, River sat down and finally got to studying his sketch and getting his paints ready in his pallet. He'd already sketched when he was at home.
"Let's go," he whispered to himself, one last glance around, and he went to it, starting his first layers for the background.
