Race: Aishan/Earthling
Species: Alkidike/Lightning
Gender: Female
Class: Prentice
Personality: Verose is brutally honest and outspoken. Part of that is thanks to her competitive parents, and the other part is her need to prove herself in a settlement of 'perfect' Vandrea and the Alkidike sisters. She has grown up with a keen sense of fighting, raised in the warrior-tribe, and easily can determine what she needs to do when faced with a physical challenge. This mixed with her pride of who she is and her lack of filter means she tends to jump before thinking things through.
That being said, she's very open-minded, considering her roots, and is proud that she can help her cousins be so as well. She doesn't appreciate some of the looks she gets, and wont back down if she thinks she can beat it out of someone when insulted. She's a bit of a trouble maker, but who isn't at her age?

History: When the Alkidike sisters were looking for a place to plant the seed of Aisha, they looked across the sea to the relatively new Belrean contenent. A few sisters had gone to scout the area in search of a suitable location, as well as determine if there were threats in the Lightning and Geian populations. One of those sisters was Jabari, a warrior of the tribe who was eager to get out and prove herself.
When they flew over the sea, many sisters saw an isle that was suitable an decided to go there. Jabari volunteered to instead go to the settlements in the area and see if the Earthlings were a danger. Many sisters were concerned with the magical weapons that had made way to the mainland, but Jabari felt no concern. She was taller, stronger, more disciplined than the earthlings of the isle who were more keen to invent than to fight. She had little concern and was ready to return to the larger group to report her findings when she stumbled upon Regis.
Regis was an athlete who was part of the sector of leisure. He was small, petite for an earthling with a lithe body. The first thing Jabari noticed about him was how easy he would be to throw over her shoulder and carry across the continent. She wouldn't break a sweat. The second thing she noticed was his desire to challenge her to a race. He was the fastest in the city, known for his athletics and his drive even if he was shorter than most. And he wanted to prove it.
Jabari was attracted to his confidence, and quickly found herself drawn in to him again and again. He was easy to talk to, easy to challenge and easy to make up with. Soon enough, she found a partner in him and desired to take him to her home on Chibale. Sure, he couldn't visit her new home on Chiume, but she could introduce him to Aisha and see if she would bless them with a bloom to represent their partnership. He was keen to do the same, jokingly statinng that together they'd make the strongest child alive.
It took them quite a few years to be blessed, though they didn't mind the annual trip across Tendaji. Jabari wished she could bring her love to Chiume, but knew it wasn't meant to be. Instead she was content to visit as needed when they both had the time.
Eventually, a single bloom appeared at Aisha's roots. A child was blessed to the couple and bloomed into a beautiful little girl. Jabari lived with Regis on the mainland while the girl was still young, before taking her to Chiume to be raised along with the Vandrea girls. She made sure to bring Verose to visit her father while she could. When Verose would come of age, she'd have the right to choose if she wanted to grow up as a Lightning-kin or an Aishan. For now, both were fine with her splitting time and learning the Aishan ways.

Verose grew up with thick skin...she had to so she could prove her place in the Aishan tribe. Chiume wasn't as bad as other settlements, but still a hybrid was evaluated differently than the 'future of Aisha'. She was bitter of the Vandrea attention, but didn't mind it too much. At least she got to leave the island. She still had no idea if she wanted to follow her father's footsteps - she loved Aisha and all she learned, but right now she wasn't too worried.
Being pulled between two locations didn't help her case with fitting in with the locals. Verose, no matter how much she tried to fit in, often felt left outside of the circle of Vandrea on the island. So, when she was pulled away to visit her father she loved the freedom of the Lightning ways, even if her mother tried to remind her of the Aishan lifestyle she needed to return to.
No matter how many gifts or toys she would get, she only could bring back the trinkets to hide in her room at home. Her mother said it was to ensure others didn't get jealous, but as Verose grew, she began to know the truth.
It was a lonely life being split between two cultures without any clear foundation to build upon.
Being older than most Vandrea, she currently is focused on learning all she could and taking in the world around her. As she gets older, she would need to make a decision on where to settle...and right now it's difficult decide between her culture and the big world of Belrea.
