We hope you are all having a safe and enjoyable holiday season! With nearly a week until Christmas and two weeks until New Year's Eve, we wanted to let everyone start opening their gifts. For Christmas this year the mods have decided to add more to the list of options than the same old same old. All RPCs will have access to 3 gifts each of your choice and the same gifts can be chosen multiple times. We now have more gifts under the tree than ever!
2020 was a s**t show for the world but has been a great year for the guild. Thank you to the mods for helping me finish the system updates and to everyone for the great characters and stories you contribute. A good roleplay is only as good as the sum of its characters and SR is blessed with many colorful personalities in the story.
To that effect, this year we are doing a character-based gift exchange. You may choose up to 3 of your favorite RPCs that are not your own to give an extra gift to if you wish. An RPC may be given multiple gifts but an RPC may only actually receive 1 extra gift. Make sure to quote the RPC's roleplayer so that they know to add a gift to their character. The roleplayer chooses the gift type for their character.
Now here comes the wholesome part, please include the reason that you love the character so much whether it be their unique personality, the skill the roleplayer uses in writing them, their unique character design, etc. You can give gifts to multiple RPCs owned by the same roleplayer if you choose or you can choose not to participate at all if you have a hard time picking. You may also choose to edit your character choice only if someone posted before you and picked that same character. You can only give one gift to the same character.
This thread will remain open until January 1st, 2021.

Roleplayer Username: Regalina Kaicho Character Name: Ada Rio-Kyuri Reason for Gift: The Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility MITs we posted together this year have been some of the best roleplaying I have ever experienced hands down. The layers of Ada's background being unraveled and tied into Kenshin's own story with such detail and seamlessness is a major accomplishment of your writing. Ada's ability to be a highly admirable and capable character while still having relatable struggles and flaws is a difficult balance that you strike with elegance. I never imagined Kenshin as a romantic leading man type of RPC but Ada brought that character a great and sweeping romance that has been a true pleasure to participate in. I am looking forward to the wedding RP and continuing to write their stories in the Pale Citadel in the future!

The complications of combining the hearts of two soulmates in all of their many differences is what makes this some of the best relationship roleplaying I have written. It would not be possible without the quality of Akihiko's writing on your part. His journey through reluctance to be vulnerable to sacrificing and loving with his whole being is peerless. The most exciting part is that there is a lot ahead of us.

Roleplayer Username: Rocket Punches Character Name: Sumika Reason for Gift: I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to stay in character even when there are significant OOC interests against doing so. It is challenging to engage in a dramatic conflict between RPCs and swim against the stream in that way but the best roleplayers are able to do so when the story calls for it. The posts of Sumika in the office are daring and not only fun to read but also completely authentic to the RPC. It has been a while since I have roleplayed with this character but I have been keeping an eye on her nonetheless. In all seriousness, one of the pioneers of puppetry and non-bloodline characters, a testament to the underdog rules over all even if they're not outright noticed. There is a lot of care that went into Sadayo and it shows, she has yet to grow from her quiet position of the spook of the leaf to its leader. Pretty exciting to see where to goes -- also probably one of the most hilarious crack-ships seen in ages with Masato.

Roleplayer Username: NecroPlant Character Name: Toso Reason for Gift: There's a ongoing theme in the characters I like here and it is the unassuming sort that I seem to like. Toso though is a bit more obvious in a power scale but even more deadly behind layers of Hojo. As the sole reason the squid lads live and the source of memes, jokes and other shenanigans; Toso's a character that has prevailed the test of time and has a lot of history to tell. A good example of how to make a quirky character work both as a personality and as an overall theme.

More than that, he's the only character that has kept me excited to post multiple times a day for long periods of times. Our MITs are some of the most fun I've ever had role playing, and I've enjoyed the way our characters' different paths continue to cross.
