The last bit of summer has faded, and the leaves of Destiny City have changed with the season. The air has a chill in it, but most nights still manage to be comfortable.

Tonight, though, things are different. The town is decorated for the coming of fall and with anticipation of halloween, but the odditiy of the night is the fog that rolls in. It is thick and cold and comes from nowhere, blanketing the city in a dense haze.

It couldn't just be bad weather, though. There is a magic, in the mist. A magic that envelops, and swallows, and steals.

You might have seen the fog, or you might have been sleeping when it crept into your room. There is no rhyme or reason to who it takes, but it takes you.

The mist swirls around your body, in your mind, and then--it fades.

And you aren't in Destiny City anymore.

Instead, you arrive in a weathered town, with buildings in various stages of decay. It seems like you have been picked up and plucked into a town trapped in time, with worn paths and trees all around. There is no trace of the civilization or modernity or business of Destiny City--you are in the middle of an aged town, surrounded by a wall of trees, at the crack of dawn.

You aren't alone.

Rules and Information

 • This year, we are running things a little differently! Rather than prompts around Destiny City, all participating characters are whisked away to a strange, forlorn town with an eerie magic surrounding it. OOCly this event will take place from now through the 30th. ICly, you will be in this strange world for three weeks, however when the event ends only three hours will have passed in Destiny City. This means that it will be the evening of Friday the 9th ICly in Destiny City when the event ends, and the event will ICly end, at latest, in the early morning hours of Saturday the 10th.

 • There will be no prompts for Destiny City; all prompts will occur only for characters that are whisked away. Completing certain prompts will yield tickets for our raffle; a list of Ticket Opportunities can be found below, as well as our current list of raffle prizes!

 • All characters will arrive in the mist at the same time. While you can decide to play a character in the event at any point in time, everyone must have arrived. You can backdate or handwave what your character has been doing.

 • Your character can arrive as a civilian or as a powered character. You will not be able to power up or down for the duration of this event, so please choose carefully how you would like for your character to arrive! Characters will be magically locked into whatever form they are in and will not expend energy being powered up, and will not be able to power up or down by force or exhaustion. Powered characters will have more strength in battle, however civilian characters will have the benefit of no energy signature. For this event only, battles will count for growth requirements for powered characters that arrive in their civilian form. If your character is a civilian with no powered form, they will not count towards any growth requirements.

 • Order and Chaos characters must work together. If you have a character who absolutely cannot function with the other side, we caution you from playing them. There is no harm in plotting small attacks or sneaky sabotaging, but this is a small village and all-out war will not be tolerated. If your character becomes too violent or makes play too difficult, you may be asked to have them captured by the monster and removed from play. If you wind up in this situation or have a difficult character you want to play with, please PM The Space Cauldron and we will try to work with you so you can enjoy the event too!

 • Roleplay opportunities will only be open from now until ~8pm EST on October 30th. The raffle will be rolled after a ticket list is compiled and winners will have 72 hours to contact the shop mule, In the Name of the Mule, with their preference list. Anyone who does not respond within 72 hours will forfeit their slot.

 • While the majority of our events are designed to be playable by a wide variety of factions, we understand that not every group may have access to all plots. For players with characters that cannot participate due to IC or OOC reasons, or players with no characters at all, you are allowed to play a temporary character. Please see our information on temporary characters a few posts down!

Ticket Opportunities

Tickets can only be earned through Event Roleplays or Event Prompts, so you must be active in the shop if you are interested in participating in the raffle! Each ORP or game will have specific instructions, so please make sure to read the rules when you are signing up! The shop will be hosting both an ORP and prompts this year. Links to everything will be kept in this post, and all prompts will be listed here as well!

This year, there is a ticket cap! You can participate in writing for as many ORPs, Mini Games, or prompts as you like, but no player can claim more than five tickets towards the raffle. If you want to write for a prompt for requirements, or just for fun, that’s fine! But this year we are limiting each player to five tickets only. There will be plenty of opportunities to earn tickets, with a variety of events and prompts--this way, everyone has a chance to pick and choose what they want to participate in instead of trying to force themselves to respond to everything to earn raffle tickets!

To claim a ticket, you will need to fill out the following code and post it in this thread!

I AM CLAIMING A TICKET
Link to thread: [link to the thread you are claiming for; if you are responding to a prompt, make sure you indicate which prompt you are responding to either in this form or the thread!]

ORPs

While each shop run ORP will have its own rules, a few general things are important to keep in mind! While players can include as many of their official characters as they want, you can only earn one raffle ticket per ORP. This means, regardless of how many characters you play, you can only earn one raffle ticket. All events will be run for civilians only, so there will be no powering up! To earn a raffle ticket, you must write at least 500 words, though if you have multiple characters this can be spread out across them. You still need to write 500 words for a character if you are using a roleplay as a growth requirement for them!

Open Events:

[ORP] One Foggy Night

Closed Events:

N/A

Prompts

Each Prompt may only be counted towards a raffle ticket once per player. This means that if you respond to the same prompt with multiple characters, only the first one will count for a raffle ticket. We will make a small announcement any time a new prompt is put up, so check back here regularly to see if there's anything new you are interested in writing! All prompt responses must be posted in the Mini-Event subforum and can be written as a solo, a regular, or a battle (if applicable!). These should be labelled [Halloween-S], [Halloween-R], or [Halloween-B]. If you roleplay a temporary character, these will not count towards any growth requirements for them, but if you are roleplaying with someone who has a temporary character, it can still count for growth for your official character. More information on temporary characters can be found in the next post! To receive a raffle ticket for a prompt, you must write at least five hundred words and should include the prompt either in your first post or in the code you post in this thread to claim a ticket. The roleplay does not have to be finished in order to claim a ticket, but it will need to be finished before it can be used for growth requirements. While these events are written so that you only need a civilian to participate, you can play a powered character if it seems feasible!

Current Prompts:

Quote:
Prompt 1: In a village in the middle of an eerie forest, you need shelter. There are many empty houses speckled across a central village, each with its own customizable features. The houses are always made of wood and field stone. They lack all modern commodities, however there is crude indoor plumbing. There are thick glass windows, misty and difficult to see through, and thick wooden doors that are heavy and difficult to move--however all of them have barricades on the inside to keep intruders out. Most houses have several rooms and some even have multiple floors, but there is something aged and almost crumbling about each of them. They are safer than nothing, but they are cold and uninviting. You need to claim one of these homes for yourself, but with so many unknowns, it's probably best to find a group to stick with and have your back. Do you try to take on this oddity in a house, alone? Or do you manage to find people to get along with and share a house with?

Quote:
Prompt 2: You need to eat. There are archaic cooking utensils and a well in the middle of town. There is an array of fruits, mostly apples, hanging from some trees, and there are several different types of berries that grow around the forest. There are unkempt gardens in a few of the houses, and a larger one with an array of crops that seem to be free for the taking, just by what seems to be an abandoned--locked--church. In some houses, and in a strange storage room in town, there seems to be unidentifiable dried meat. There are no packed or processed foods--only what nature permits. There are no animals to hunt. You can choose to eat any of such food, but at what cost? Are you fortunate enough to feel no effects? Are you struck with some toxic poisoning that fades after a bit? Do you feel rejuvenated, but at the cost of feeling incredibly paranoid and off? Food and effects are player choice, however should not grant any boosts in battle or extreme advantages into gameplay; if you have questions about what you can find or what effects it can have, please post in the MQ&A

Quote:
Prompt 3: Trees stretch in every direction, tall and dark and full of unfriendly shadows. Nothing about the area seems safe, and there is a darkness in the forest. If you travel into the forest, you will find that no matter what path you take, the village is always within sight behind you. Any direction, any distance, any time you spend--the village will always be within sight. There is no barrier to stop you, just a strange, infinitely looping forest. Within the forest you find no recognizable trees or landmarks.

Quote:
Prompt 4: The village always has dull weather during the daytime, but it's easy enough to navigate through. Though the sky is cloudy and little light breaks through, by nighttime the climate changes. The air cools rapidly and within an hour of the sun setting, a chilling mist rolls from the forest and covers the village. It is almost suffocating and inhaling it even for only a moment will result in hallucinations. The visions are terrifying, often including shadows covering everything, the sensation of eternal falling, and the appearance of a great beast attacking. These hallucinations are always frightening and can last anywhere from a few moments through the entire night. There is no way to dispel the fog and it is too dangerous to stay outside past sundown.

Quote:
Prompt 5: As if the eerie fog isn't enough to deal with, once the sun goes down you must take shelter quickly--or risk the beast of this land. While there is sometimes the sensation of being watched, it worsens when the sun goes down. A shadow can sometimes be seen outside, but if it catches you in the window it will attack. If it senses life in any building, it will batter against the door, scrape against the walls, and clatter at the windows. An overwhelming sensation of dread and fear seems to roll in with the creature. It cannot break into the buildings, but it can damage them--just never enough to get inside. Once a house is damaged, it is not safe to return to unless it is repaired before nightfall. The creature can splinter wood, claw at bricks, and crack or shatter glass. It can wail like a banshee and can linger for moments or hours throughout the night. It is always gone before sunrise.

Quote:
Prompt 6: The little village is unnaturally empty and devoid of all life sans that which came from Destiny City. To add to the eeriness of everything, sometimes a small area will randomly feel cold and unnerving more than the rest of the town. Close investigation of the area will result in finding a small piece of weathered metal; you can just barely make out runes carved into it, but it's not large enough for you to make out anything. As soon as the metal is picked up, the mood in the area immediately fades and, oddly, you feel safer holding it. You may only find one of these per character!

Quote:
Prompt 7 - Confronting the Creature (1) : Everything about this place tells you that you should not be out at night. The forest turns wicked, a horrible fog rolls in, and a monstrous creature stirs. But you, for whatever reason, decided to be out late. Perhaps you thought you could hunt the creature, or solve some mystery, or perhaps you were simply unlucky. Either way, the creature has found you. This must be a battle, and you must quote the shop mule, Beckoning Chaos, if you wish to pursue this plot. You will need to send a PM to this mule to declare if you intend to escape or be captured, and any special requests or information you need to share! A moderator or GM will be assigned to RP the creature in this roleplay. You may manage to escape into a building if you are close enough into town, however if you manage to do this you will spend the rest of the evening with the creature tormenting you, banging on the house and trying to break in; you will suffer horrible hallucinations and be plagued with paranoia and fear until morning. If you do not manage to seek shelter, or if you would like the creature to break into your shelter, the creature will defeat you in battle and you will pass out. You cannot defeat the monster, but you may learn something about it in battle. If you lose, you will be taken to a cellar with other prisoners and held outside of the city. Please see the below prompt for more information!

Quote:
Prompt 8 - Confronting the Creature (2) : This plot can only be pursued by players that have fought the creature and lost. After you are knocked unconscious, you will awaken in a dark cellar full of cobwebs, stale water, and darkness. A faint gray glow barely illuminates the room and seems to have no source; there is a crate of vegetables and fruit to sustain you but no one ever refills the crate, it simply seems to have enough for whoever is needed. There are a few bowls, and a trickle of water through cracks in the wall; it sounds as though there may be a river very close. The room is cold and has no window; it can be inferred that it is underground, as there are steps that appear to lead up but the door is shut so heavily it is impossible to break down. Every night, the fog rolls in and for a short period of time everyone falls unconscious. The creature only comes and goes during this period of time, and it will leave all fallen warriors down here. The cellar feels almost like a dungeon, though there are no shackles or cells. You can interact with newcomers or deal with the fog or try to force your way out, but the cellar seems too sturdy to escape. The cellar is predominantly only a single large room, however there are hidden, connected chambers where prisoners may wind up (if you prefer your character to have less interaction). You cannot teleport in or out of the cellar once you are captured!

Quote:
Prompt 9 - Disappearances in the Village: As people confront the creature, or as their shelters are compromised, people will begin to disappear. In the night, you may hear the creature attacking someone or something, but the overwhelming fear and trepidation it radiates is capable of paralyzing even the bravest of warriors, making it difficult to help or investigate until morning. Searching for clues yields nothing, except sometimes damaged shelters and anything the missing may have dropped. No matter where you search, you cannot seem to locate where they have gone or what has happened to them.

You may also win a ticket in some mini-games if you both participate in a Mini Game and write a 500 word solo based on your results from the Mini-Game. Please double check to make sure the mini game is eligible for a roleplay ticket, first! You can only claim one raffle ticket per mini game, so even if you write solos for all of your characters, you can only claim one ticket. Please see the Mini Game threads for more information on how this works!

The Monster

A monster lurks in this abandoned village, and though it seems to disappear during the daytime hours and will reappear with the nighttime fog. It can be difficult to make out details under only the light of the moon and a sometimes cloudy sky, but it's not a sight you'd easily forget. Some prompts will involve running into this creature, so it's best to know what you're dealing with!

The creature is easily seven feet tall from head to toe, and atop its head are a crown of antlers that look similar to that of a great elk. These antlers are easily five feet wide and give the monster another few feet of height as well. The creature's limbs are disproportionately long but it doesn't seem t like it has any issue navigating with the heavy weight on its antlers.

Its face is obscured by a great elk skull; it is yellowed with age and if it was ever intended to be an adornment, it has long since grown into the creature; patches of withered skin have grown over the smooth bone. Beneath the mask, there is darkness--and the occasional glint of very black eyes.

The beast has broad shoulders and a narrow waist and the monster looks emaciated; several ribs poke through its paper-thin skin. It looks to have the texture of tree-bark, and patches are black and mottled as if it were burned. It moves like its skin is the same as any other animal and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. A mantle of fur lines its shoulders and hips. Unnaturally long arms dangle, swinging just slightly as it walks. The arms look natural enough, sans their odd proportions, but the hands look humanlike--if not giant, and with each finger tapering into a curled claw. The hand is large enough to smother a normal human's face with the palm alone, and the claws are sharp enough to slash into trees.

A skirt of feathers falls behind it, long enough to trail behind it as it walks. They look like peacock feathers, only without the bright colors. They are a withered brown and red, and have startling black eyes that stare.

Its legs are like that of an ostrich--two toed, but sharp, with talons like blades. The skin of its legs are leathery and dark, and it looks like it has odd growths of spiky bones protruding from its knees.

The monster always arrives with fog and seems to have a visible mastery of it. It seems to have many abilities that it can use to defend itself and attack the intruders. It has a high, pulsing screech that can cause piercing headaches and dizziness. It can flare its skirt of feathers around it, increasing its mass and causing a strange, hypnotic trance when exposed to the wall of eyes. It can run incredibly fast when it wants to, and the talons on its feet can dig into the ground and kick up dirt that stings, like acid. The antlers are huge and while some points have smoothed out, some are still dangerously sharp. The creature has incredibly strength in nearly every part of its body and doesn't seem to fear anything.

Temporary Characters

If you don't have a character in the shop yet, that's okay! Players may use a quest character or a character they create on the spot to participate in event only roleplays and prompts. You can only roleplay your character in the Mini-Event subforum. When setting up a new thread, you must put an asterisk next to your character's name to indicate that they are not officially won. For example, you might write a solo based off of a prompt and it would be titled [Event Solo] Title [Name*]. If you are participating in an ORP, the rules may be different so please read each thread accordingly!

If you are a new member of the shop and do not have a character in the shop and want to respond to a prompt by writing either a solo or roleplay, please fill out the following form and put it in a spoiler in your first post! Even if you have filled it out for other events or threads, you must include this in every new thread you are involved in.

Character’s name:
Age:
Appearance:
Personality Traits: (list 2-4 virtues and an equal number of flaws; these can be one word descriptions of each trait and do not need explanation)

Remember, your character must be unawakened and human, and should be a fairly believable character. If you have questions about what might be acceptable, please contact a member of our moderator staff for answers!

You can also PM the shop mule The Space Cauldron and we'll get back to you as soon as possible! Also remember, all new players get their first, unarted civilian for free so if you are new to the shop and want to play a character outside of this event, you can complete a quest! If you already have a character in the shop, you should not play a temporary character unless all your characters are either unplayable or cannot participate. For example, if you have a character who is currently in the hospital and could not believably be involved in anything, you could play a temporary character. We just want to make sure everything checks out, so this will be a quick approval and is just to make things easier on us!

Playing a temporary character in this event does not mean they will die! You can quest for these characters at a later point in time, if you so choose! Remember, if the character has not been officially won and arted, none of your RPs will count towards their growth, but you are still eligible for prizes or RP related rewards! Playing a temporary character during this event does not guarantee that you will receive your character, but it's a good opportunity to get your feet wet!

Quote:
Knitted Bat - A knitted cuddly toy shaped like bat.
When hugged, this knitted bat will emit a small squeak and begin to shimmer. As it glows the user will feel a little braver and will be able to face their fears. While this magic is active the user becomes more resistant to crowd control effects such as stun, daze or fear. After the magic has ended, the knitted bat will remain as a symbol of the user's bravery. It has no magical properties, but it's a nice memento!

Quote:
Cat-Shaped Earrings - Silver earrings that take the shape of a cat.
When rubbed, these earrings summon a vision of a spectral black cat. The user may direct the cat towards a target and when the cat touches this target they are inflicted with a curse. This curse instils them with terrible luck which can come in the form of missing attacks or even as severe as magic backfiring inappropriately. This effect lasts for 35 seconds and can only occur once. After the magic has ended the earrings will remain and can be kept as a memento!

Quote:
Old Dog Collar - An old, worn dog collar that reads "Mr Winkles" on the tag.
Jingle the tag to summon Mr Winkles, the faithful Bloodhound. When summoned, Mr Winkles will patrol around the user for 45 seconds. During this time, if an opponent attempts to attack the user, Mr Winkles will leap to their defense and prevent these attacks from landing. This magical effect can only be used once but the collar will remain after as a reminder of the user's stalwart defender.

Quote:
Porcelain Doll - An antique porcelain doll, the eyes seem to stare into your soul.
The user may set this doll down in battle, and with a single pat on the head activate this doll's magic. When activated, the doll's eyes seem to radiate with an alluring energy and draw the target to them. For 35 seconds, the target will become distracted and even fearful. When this magic has run its course the doll will remain. You can choose to hold on to it if you would like, it would certainly be an interesting memento...

Quote:
Unusual Effigy - A suspicious doll with several streams of ribbon wrapped around it.
Stab, twist or bend this doll to awaken this figure's latent magic. When the magic activates, whichever part of it has been bent, twisted or stabbed will transfer to the target. The target will feel an immediate, searing pain in this limb that will force them to their knees for 15 seconds. The pain will fade at this point, unless both players want it, or further damage to remain. This magic can only be used once, but the doll will remain and can be kept as a memento if you so choose...

Quote:
Ornate Rune - A peculiar, flat stone tablet with a rune in the centre.
When snapped in half it can invigorate the user to provide them with an additional boost in energy. This will allow a senshi to receive 1x use of a Basic/Super attack, a Knight to refresh 25 seconds of their magic pool, or for a Negaverse agent to become 1.5x stronger for 25 seconds. This magical effect can only be used once and when the magic runs out, the tablet will snap back together and can be kept as a paperweight or other memento.

Quote:
Spectral Goggles - An old pair of scientific goggles.
When these goggles are worn, the user will see someone that seems familiar. Closer inspection reveals that this is the spirit of a former friend, family member, or even an individual from a person's past life. The user and ghost may converse for five minutes before the spirit is required to depart from this world. Only souls that have not yet become ready for rebirth in the cauldron can be summoned using this item; those who are about to be reborn or whose starseeds have been destroyed will remain lost. The magic in these goggles can only be used once, but they can be kept afterwards as a quirky memento!

Quote:
Haunted Brooch - An unusual brooch with two ruby eyes.
Rub your fingertips across the surface of this unusual brooch. The user summons a phantom to assist them for up to two minutes. If the phantom detects danger, it will rush through the air towards the target and pass through them. On impact, the target will feel an icy chill ripple through them and will move more slowly for up to 15 seconds. Once this magic has expired, this brooch can be kept as a memento.

Quote:
Faded Talisman - An ominous strip of leather with faded runes painted or carved into it
When wielded, this talisman will produce a thick fog that covers up to ten feet around the wielder, and up to ten feet above them. Wherever they move, they will be completely enshrouded in a white haze that is impossible to see through. The fog will move where they move, and the talisman seems to keep producing the fog for up to five minutes. It is impossible for anyone to see anything in this fog, and anyone inside the fog will find that their energy signatures are completely dampened and they can neither feel outside energy signatures nor do they seem to have one, themselves. After the magic has ended, the talisman no longer seems to have any magical properties but it can be kept as a spooky memento!

If the character receiving these items was in the Halloween Event, they can find them on their person when they return to Destiny City. If you are choosing this item for a character that did not participate in the Halloween Event, it can only be found in the aftermath of the fog leaving Destiny City. It cannot be found anywhere outside of Destiny City, and it can only be found while there is still fog in the city, or immediately after the fog fades.

Quote:
Metal Charm - A scratched, circular charm slightly larger than a marble, with unrecognizable runes carved across it
This charm is an identical, miniature replica of the prison that trapped the beast in the Halloween 2020 ORP. It seems to function like a little puzzle box; when you unscrew the top metal piece, a haze of fog erupts from the charm and a foggy manifestation of the monster will attack targets for up to five minutes (players have full choice over any damage they choose to receive). The monster will linger in the area where it was summoned and will not move with the Metal Charm or its wielder. The creature does not speak or respond to discussion, but it will attack anyone the wielder considers a threat. After the magic ends, the metal charm is nothing more than a little trinket to play with. Sometimes, it will let out a little puff of fog when twisted in a certain way, but it has no other magical properties and can be kept as a spooky memento!

IC RP ITEMS

These are IC RP Items that are not limited edition and have been permanently added to our list of purchasable IC RP Items. Like other single use IC RP Items, these will only cost 1 Crown Token to purchase. There will be opportunities to win some of these during our event, though, so if you are interested, make sure you are keeping your eyes on things!

Quote:
Bottled Wisp - A small wisp in a bottle.
Release the Wisp from the bottle. The wisp will lead the user towards an undisclosed location and reveal to them a vision of the past. This vision is vivid and allows the user to relive a single memory as you are transported into the body of your former life. During this time the user will feel, taste and smell everything but they will not possess the ability to control the body they're in. The user will be moved against their will and anything that happens during this memory will feel as though is happening to the user. When this memory subsides the user will be unharmed, but what they experienced will remain. After the magic has expired the bottle can be kept as a memento.

Quote:
Gilded Invitation - An aged invitation in startlingly pristine condition. The text is unreadable but it looks like an invitation to an important event.
This invitation may have been for an event long past, but the residual magical energy in the card has the ability to amplify someone's ability to transport a guest with them at no cost to their energy. It will allow a free +1 for any method of teleportation that drains energy when brought with a guest; this means that a new Negaverse Captain may be able to teleport with a guest for one trip, or a Senshi may be able to visit their homeworld and any stage with a guest at no cost of their own energy. Characters taking a group of people can bring one more than the usual max allowed. Each Invitation has only one use. Afterwards, the text on the card melts away; it is still a beautiful card and can be kept as a memento.

Permanent Accessories

These are IC RP Items that are not limited edition and have been permanently added to our list of purchasable IC RP Items. These are permanent items that can be reused by their owner. These items are soul-bound to the character who obtains them and will cost 3 Crown Tokens to purchase. More information on Permanent Accessories can be found in the IC RP Item Thread!

Quote:
Bottomless Stein - An old beer stein.
When shaken it appears to fill with something that smells distinctly like cider. If the user attempts to drink this 'liquid' they will receive a one hour buff that increases strength and endurance. The liquid tastes like cider, but does not quench thirst or ease hunger, and never spills from the cup. It cannot be shared but the user does have the distinct sensation of a liquid when they drink it. While the liquid will disappear as the user drinks it, the essence is absorbed into the user rather than it being physically consumed. This item can be used once per day.

Quote:
Red Shoes - A pair of ruby heels.
There's no place like home, click your heels and concentrate. The user is teleported to a safe location of their choosing and may be used during battle. They cannot teleport to another plain of existence but can teleport themselves to anywhere in that area. It cannot teleport someone from their homeworld to Destiny City, but it can teleport them from a dangerous location on their homeworld to a safe one. It can teleport from a dangerous place in the Rift to a safer place, but it cannot teleport into the Negaverse City, or to Destiny City. This item can be used once per day.

While these all have a basic design, the items can have slightly varying appearances between characters to better fit aesthetics! Permanent Accessories can go on a character’s official shop art, but please make sure you work with your artist so it matches the description!

ICly these items can be acquired in different locations depending on which faction your character is in! Most commonly, Senshi can find them on their Homeworld, Knights on their Wonder, Dark Mirror Senshi in Mirrorspace, and Negaverse Agents in Negaspace/the Rift. If you have a plot where your character acquires it in a different fashion, please send a PM to The Space Cauldron to discuss it!

These items cannot be taken apart or repurposed for other means; they are all magically based and seem to be constructed of components that are hard to identify, making them impossible to replicate.

Winning Procedures

After the tickets have been compiled into a list, rolling will begin ~8PM EST October 30th! This will be done publicly, in this thread, and winners will have 72 hours to send a preference list to the shop mule, In the Name of the Mule. If a winner does not contact the mule by that time, the they will forfeit their slot and another winner will be rolled! Once a player is rolled, all of their tickets will be pulled from the ticket list; you can only be rolled once! If you are rolled, you may give your slot to a friend only if they are not already on the winners list. Swapping positions with another player on the list is permitted.

If you have questions about claiming tickets or other Raffle procedures, please PM In the Name of the Mule and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Mini-Games

This year we have a few mini-games to participate in! You can find information about each Mini-Game in their respective threads! While you cannot win raffle tickets from participation alone, if you write 500 words (either as a solo or RPing within the thread) based on the Mini-Game and your scores for any character, you can claim one ticket. Complete instructions and details are in the Mini Game threads, so please check these out!

So if you aren't playing for tickets, what are you playing for?

Participation in the Mini-Events can earn you IC RP Items! You can select either our current Event IC RP items or any of our permanent IC RP items! You can only win one of these items doing this method, so if you win in one mini-game you cannot win in another! If the mini-games have unique prizes that cannot be earned anywhere else (such as the necklaces in the Scavenger hunt) you can still participate to win them ICly but you will forfeit the OOC item prize, which will be rolled to go to someone else.

Mini-Games:

Solitaire (Ends ~8pm EST on October 30th)
The Hunt (Ends 11:59 PST Friday, 23rd)

Individual Participation Rewards

Sometimes luck isn’t on anyone’s side; we are introducing a new option that rewards participation without any competitive nature! For every five roleplays or solos that reach 500 words, a player can claim one IC RP item--from our regular pool of one time use IC Items, from our current Limited Edition IC RP Item Pool, or any item from a previous Limited Edition IC RP Item Pool (with the exception of any items that were given out as special/exclusive rewards in certain RPs). You cannot claim an IC RP Item or any Item that was winnable in a player run event, however you have access to any IC RP Item given out in a similar staff run event.

You can claim up to three one time use IC RP Items through this method! However, if you participate in ten roleplays or solos that reach 500 words, you will have the option to claim one permanent accessory or enhancement in place of one IC RP Item! This means, if you do fifteen roleplays or solos, you could claim two one time use IC RP Items and one permanent accessory, or you could claim three one time use IC RP Items.

These roleplays or solos can come from ORPs, prompts, or mini games; you can repeat prompts to count for this! Additionally, any roleplays that are started in the mini-event subforum but do not utilize a prompt may also be counted towards Individual Participation Prize rewards! RPs done without utilizing a specific shop prompt cannot be used to claim a ticket, but each non-prompt based RP can count for this prize instead.

RPs do not have to be finished before the month ends, but we will be keeping our eyes on roleplays to make sure they are moving forward; we want to reward players for their activity, but if roleplays are being started and only played to word count without actually finishing, this will negatively impact how we choose to release more permanent accessories to the shop. Please try to finish all of the roleplays you start!

To claim these RP Items (one time use items or permanent accessories) you will need to use the following form and post in this thread:

I would like to turn in (#) roleplays for an IC RP Item!
link
Trading for: (Which item are you claiming?)
Giving to: (Which of your characters will be obtaining this? (This is only necessary if claiming for a permanent accessory!)

Please also remember to edit your claim into your IC RP Item Log thread post!

If you are claiming an item based on your participation, you cannot gift this item to anyone else! This is for you, and you alone!

You will have up until 11:59 PM (PST) on Friday, November 6th to claim for Individual Participation Prizes! You may finish up old RPs or start new RPs between now and then; they do not need to be finished to count towards Individual Participation Prizes, but they must have at least 500 words posted for you to claim them.
