Always the showman, Zaeryn has a flair for the dramatic and a silver tongue. He can talk his way out of any trouble, and into any heart. And it suits him just fine. He flirts with the best of them and is always on the lookout for the newest love of his life.
Anything can be meaningful to him and can be part of the gods’ plans if he looks at it the right way. He lets the cards he uses tell their tales of what’s to come in life and believes in them wholeheartedly. Whether he believes in exactly how he says things is another story, but for the right amount of coin he can flip a story any way that his patrons would prefer to see it.
History: Zaeryn was too young to remember who his parents really were, but he does have bits and pieces. His mother was a leaf earthling, and his father was a water earthling, and they had disappeared from his life when he was but four years old. Not that they completely abandoned him alone. They had the decency to drop him off on Jisena’s circus doorstep before they took off. He still to this day doesn’t know why, but knows in his bones that it was for the better and it was the gods’ plans for him to come to find Jisena and her blended family of circus performers.
He had been friends with Nedelle since his introduction to the circus, and their bond is forever strong. While the feelings are purely platonic, and she is almost like a sister to him, he knows she will always be there for her. Maybe some day he’ll go looking to find his family, or maybe not. As far as he’s concerned Jisena and Nedelle are a better family than anyone could ask for.
