info
Honorable– Reillan comes from an ancient warrior family, while not noble they are very well respected and well off. Most of their family have been warriors of spear, sword or hammer. And it is expected that children will choose one of these weapons as a youngling. Reillan holds honor close to his heart and will put himself in danger if it means coming through on a promise or saving his family’s face. This can put him in some stressed and difficult situations.

Independant – He is a stoic survivor and he feels he doesn’t need others at all. He can work individually or with a group. His one weakness is his twin brother, whom does not fit the family tradition. Reillan has no problem with striking out on his own, he doesn’t mind the company of others but he does not need them to function. He feels awkward when people ask him if he wants help and if he needs it will be surprised at their generosity and very grateful.

Dominant – Reillan is used to getting his way in the world, part due to determination and part due to this family. This has formed a confident air that he is where he is supposed to be, confident and near the top of the ladder. His families oldest members are at the top of that ladder. He is not sure whether nobles are placed above or below, he expects to figure that out with time.

Personality:
Reillan dislikes frivulous things if it doesn't have a purpose why bother. He has been taught to be stoic and quiet, to observe, protect and fight. His family has guarded royals for generations and they are appreciated in battle. He strives to make his family proud to take the disaproving eyes off of his brother. He can be very protective of those few who penetrate his shell of stoic calm. He expects respect from everyone and refuses to bow to those he sees as lesser then himself. They are proven lesser by merit of their behavior.

He likes routine and calmness and radiates calm authority at all times except under stress. He has a hard stare that may make people squirm when they displease him. His very calmness may be disconcerting to some. He is hard to rile, but certain things get a much swifter and larger stress response from him. Insulting his family, himself and his brother are almost guaranteed to get some sort of reaction.

Description: The darkest shade of skin that fire people are available in with large crystals down his back and a few medium sized on his upper chest that get smaller as you get closer to his center line, they are placed just under his collarbone. Bright red eyes heavily saturated. He has a well balanced, handsome face with a somewhat less flattened nose. Light stubble on the cheeks. Lots of long black hair loose down his back non dreadlocked and wavy/loose curls. His hair is tied with a bright red band. Reillan is built to last with a body well muscled all over, he is above average height but not hugely so. He has bright intelligent eyes.

Clothing: Deep red pants with black bands around his ankles and a black belt. No shirt But black fabric arm bracers on his forearms. Leather sandals.

Accessories: Jeweled forehead chain with a gem which is a deep blood red that dangles in the middle of his forehead, the sides are hidden in the hair. This is a symbol of his family and they all wear them.

History: Reillan belongs to a somewhat strict, static family. There are things one simply does not do when part of the Rentrad family. His twin brother does most of those things, and Reillan is always in a rush to protect him. He tries to do his very best to keep his families attention on his stellar behaviour to spare his poor brother. In this family one is expected to chose a weapon and path at the youngling stage. Reillan chose the way of the broadsword...his brother chose to be a dancer. Reillan loves his twin, Keelthy, and feels his pain acutely when his family doesn’t accept him and indeed pick on him. Their bond is very strong and he is the thing that catalyzes Reillan to break rules, all in the name of protection. He thinks his brother has a beautiful soul and does not deserve the ratting he gets from the family. The cousins are not so bad it is those members in the generations above that cause all the trouble. Honor is everything and male Rentrads DO NOT DANCE.

Reillan has grown into a strong young man who is very solid and hard to sway. He was able to join the Oban’s on their attempt to take over Tendaji. He was privileged to see battle and had a good time trying out his borrowed weapon. He secretly rejoiced when the treaty was made. He was sure his brother would be sent to Jahaur and that would mean that Keelthy would be safe from the pestering of his family. Reillan could visit when he wanted his brother could grow into the man that Reillan knew he was on the inside. He hadn’t thought that this meant that he himself would be able to go where he wanted with less family influence until his brother brought it up. With both of them safe Reillan could explore and do new things too. It was an unexpected temptation, but habits change hard and Reillan finds himself sticking to the old ways for now. He has returned to Oba to see what will happen with the new order of things. Rentrads were expected to do their own work so he was neither here nor there on the release of the Matori peoples.

He loved his family, especially his mother who had chosen a hammer as her weapon, she had married into the family and had covered up most of her personality, only showing it to their small immediate family. When others were around she was the perfect wife, when they were not she tossed her hammer at her husband to get at fresh cookies first. Reillan saw a lot of his mother in his brother and they truly had a deep secret connection that hardly ever saw the light of day. Reillan looked and moved and seemed more like his father then even he knew, he had used his father as a role model to survive this long, he was adapted to this life. His brother never had been. Reillan greatly admires Keelthy and hopes to one day feel that free. Even in the face of adversity Keelthy smiles and secretly insults those who are pestering him. Reillan in contrast would bend and bend under the pressure to honorable and accountable for his actions to brush things off.

his family shamed his brother publicly because of his life choice and who he is attracted to. Now he is defecting to Jahaur. They impinged on his brother's honor in a contradiction to the family values that they seem so concerned about. This confuses Reillan terribly and he starts to wonder about the values and mentality of his family. Is pride and honor worth attempting to destroy the spirit of a son of your family no matter his inclinations? Do his choices make him not family, not blood, not important? Do they not realize he is a living breathing being with feelings and thoughts? Most of these only Reillan has been privy to due to the subduction of his brother. This makes Reillan angry and he choses his brother over his family.

Really the biggest problem are the coalition of uncles and grandparents, they are getting to old for battle and have nothing better to do then manage their families reputation. They had attempted to sequester Keelthy away but eventually it leaked out to the public that he liked either gender and wanted to break tradition and become a dancer. This is something that the old men of the family are afraid of. They worry that it will besmirch the family name. Reillan doesn't understand that as he grew up so close to his brother. He thinks he should be able to love whomever he choses and chose whichever path fits him best. He is incensed that his family would treat his brother this way. This sets him against them as a whole, though he still has individual feelings for his mother and father who will be hit hard when he splits himself off from them as well. He will still write letters but never with his or his brother's exact locations.

Reillan has since resolved the family issues and has settled down with his lovely wife Var in Oba with their two daughters; Reina and Variel.

A Hot Soak

He was so very proud of his two daughters growing up into beautiful young women, just as regal as their Mother. Idly he wondered what Var was up to. He had been quite busy of late with a lot of visits to Matori. "One of these days, he thought, Variel will not want to come home with me." He saw how well she got along with her twin partners in crime. She seemed to be bored with her prestigeous life in Oba; allergic to all the pomp and fuss over things that seemed to matter very little to her.

He supposed it had happened to every father across time, his children were growing up and he felt like he was being left in limbo.

Looked like he was going to have to pursue a hobby or something. Problem was, he had no ideas on what he might want to do. His career was going swimmingly.

Reillan decided to go for a long walk to clear his deeply cluttered mind.
He found himself outside his favorite bathhouse. Might as well he was here and had nothing better to do. He walked into the steamy room and paid some coins to the receptionist before heading for the change room. He changed swiftly looking forward to the long hot soak.
Feet slapping on the tile floor he rushed to the water and moaned as the hot liquid enveloped one calve and then another. He sat and the water covered most of his body. This was one of the best feelings ever. He felt tense muscles slowly relax. Pity the healing waters couldn't fix his daughter issues. He was glad for some self care time. He was a very busy man, he didn't always take the time to relax himself. He vowed that he would take better care of himself and spend as much time with his two daughters as he could.

A New Friend
He was midway through a vigorous training session, complete with their real weaponry, when a tradgedy befell his beloved blade. The darn thing shattered and he nearly lost his face when his opponants sword kept coming, his training partner having no time to stop his movement. Luckily it missed him and he was released from a fate too early for him, or his poor handsome face.
He stood, panting staring at the glaringly empty space where the length of his most prized weapon used to be.
"Glad I didn't get your head." His compatriot patted him on the shoulder.
"Best go see if they have a replacement for you."
Reillan inhaled sharply, it was like he had lost a limn, all except for the lack of blood. This sword had been with him since before the girls were born, and now it was gone.
He walked numbly to the armory. A great big brute of a man led him to an array of swords. He shook his head at them all notn felt...right.
"I'll go to a weaponsmith, thanks."
Smartly he marched off to the market. He browsed all the vendors before going back to his favorite of the bunch.
He got the smith's attention and ordered a customized weapon. The exact specs of which belonged to his first sword with a few embellishments and some improvments. It would take a while but soon he would have a new precious. He would name it Shehaza after a legendary warrior queen after a legendary warrior queen, who had held off a group of invadors with impossible odds on the edge of her sword. It was his favorite story to tell to the girls and he was always reminded of his lovely wife when he thought about it. She was just as feirce and loyal to her family and her people.

Class Quest
Reil went through his morning routine fueled with more than his average amount of energy. He was being sent out on a high profile mission, usually reserved for those of higher rank than he. Obviously someone up top had noticed his unfaltering loyalty. He smelled a promotion. He wanted to do his family proud and get it so he could spoil them more.

He arrived in the hall to receive his orders and instructions. He all but vibrated with carefully contained energy but he kept it well bottled up within him.

The task that was set before him turned out to be one of the most interesting assignments he had had in years. He was to pose as a buyer for illegal wildlife and gather evidence on the black market animal trade.

He had no doubt this was going to be quite difficult, depending on the balance of a feather on a blade. He would require all of his wits and cunning for this, there could be no corners cut. The kingdoms last great valuable resource its very wildlife was under threat and kept under cruel conditions for sale to unsavouries.

He also felt like it would be fun to act for a change instead of being the thug that whacked people with the sword, thats not to say he wasn't good at it, but he had done it for years.

He started his assignment by going to the market and observing the regular animal traders. Logging the information away so he could create a proper persona.

Then he went out to a few stalls and assembled an appropriate wardrobe, before getting dressed and setting the plan into motion. His presence in front of the suspected stall tipped off his crew.

He approached the reported stall and browsed the wares, waiting for all other members to get to their places, waiting for all other market goers to get a little further away from this particular stall, attempting to look appropriately shifty and mildly nervous. He started to chat with the shopkeeper then he casually mentioned something about the trade in a vague fashion.

He had captured the husky fellow's entire attention and Reillan pretended that his heart wasn't racing at the shear excitement, a potent mix of fear, thrill and pure energy. As he talked with the man he carefully assessed his reaction.

Eventually he felt ready to drop the bomb. The fellow got shifty eyes but beckoned him to the back anyway.

There it was plain to see this was indeed a sucessful and thorough operation. There were quite a few rare species that were meant to be taxed and monitored by Reillan's division. If sucessful he might get a lucrative commission.

The man was describing the benefits of his animals vs everyone elses. Quite happily making Reillan's job of evidence gathering quite easy indeed.

He could hear the creeping of his men just barely and sent a barrage of questions at the merchant to keep him distracted.

Then one of the men tripped and he was wearing scale mail. It made an unholy clattering. The merchant was up and on an illegal Xaraan within seconds and burst out of the tent before Reillan could do anything.

Luckily the men were able to move swiftly after the noise broke their cover and many were already in place, they were able to grab the beast's reigns before the outlaw had gotten away. Despite a giant fumble the over all mission had been a success.
He had performed well and had enjoyed the thrill that a mission like this presented.
Their team was indeed well rewarded for their efforts.

Blurb:
After al ong perios in the same position Reillan has found a new outlet for his passion. He loves to be the one in control, the one to know the secret. Its an exciting new field for him, going undercover. Deviousness upgrade plus 1.

A Night in the Jungle

He was starting to think that perhaps he had a corrupt commander. He had been promoted sure, but there were still people he reported to. It was one of those people who had sent him out into Jauhar during the monsoon season. He was wet and sticky and sulky. It was just him so he need not maintain a farce for the sake of the people under him. He could whine and complain, after all he was lost and there were only trees to hear him now. It hadn’t started raining but it was going to in a second or two, he was sure. He sighed and halted his progress, hanging a travel tarp up in a tree and settling down to wait out what was likely to be a very very long storm. He only had the birds for company, in a rainforest one did not stop singing just because it was a bit rainy out. He on the floor though was more concerned about the potentiality of a wash out or a flash flood. He was an Oban, it was in his DNA to like to be dry. But no he had been sent out here at the worst time of year. He was here to gather information, now why the spymaster had not chosen a Jauhar native was beyond him, perhaps he could not find one that he really trusted for a job like this, as someone might be related to the person they were trying to get info from or be a counter spy in turn. Still though the bloke could have tried a bit harder, or sent a trustworthy lacky that did not have a family at home to miss and want to go back to. He sighed, there was nothing for it now, orders were orders and he had to follow them to maintain his place in the Oban army and he had climbed decently well over the past few years. He had gone to far to back out now, though the thought had crossed his mind occasionally over the past few years especially, for once he would like to go somewhere for no other reason than he wanted to do a bit of traveling or take his family out on a nice outing and not worry about strangers recognizing him. Though both of his daughters were pretty grown up now, his two identical twin sons were still at home, though one of them spent quite a bit of their holidays from schooling off in Matori with Kiyelt and his family, one of Kiyelt’s sons and Gajeel had become fast friends and were nearly inseparable most of the time.
He wondered if they had had any luck in locating their lost granddaughter, he was still searching for her in Oba in his spare time and he made sure that Variel knew her description as well. The army officer he had handed the paper off to had looked harassed and troubled, likely having being recently promoted to the post and having previously not known exactly how much work it was going to be. Reillan felt that if the information had made it to where it was supposed to it would be a small miracle. He had informed their other friends of course and their families to be on the look lookout for a young ice water girl though. He had tried his best.
Thunder again cracked overhead and he shuddered despite himself. It was always loud here like the storm was always exactly right above one’s head like a curse. He had almost made it to the village he was after too, according to the map that was now sequestered away in the hopes of keeping the valuable resource dry.
Not that he could stay at an inn anyway with the circumstances of his mission. Rain and rain and rain, that was his present and his foreseeable future for quite some time. He could be at home sharing stories with Variel or enjoying time spent with his wife or Reina but NOOO here was out here in the middle of gods forsaken nowhere with nothing to do but brood and wait for a monsoon to rain itself into a semblance of calm.
An animal hooted nearby and his eyes crossed. He might have to retreat into the tree. Better to do it now with the tarp then wait to be accosted. He was pretty big but a pack of radaku would see a lone earthling as an orderve. He liked janarim better they were as a rule more predictable, bigger and slower than those lithe fast forest dwellers. Yes up a tree was sounding pretty good at this point in the night as darkness had closed in early with the clouds and heavy canopy above him. He swore, dragged his stuff and the bloody tarp up the bloody tree and tried to eke out a hollow semi comfortable area under the tarp so that he could continue his nighttime vigilance in relative safety. Judging from the animated hoots and growls down below it had been a wise choice to scramble up into a tree. At least there was no one else, so he was responsible for his own safety only. Better than having a young cadet showing the whites of his eyes. Reillan just snugged his shoulders into the rough bark of the tree and happily listened to the eerie noises below. It was quite beautiful, the jungle at night, if not exactly the most comfortable place to be sitting during a massive rainstorm. It could be worse, he could be on march in the desert during summer, or sent to gods forbid Zena at any time of year, how the icelings managed up there he would never really know, it was far too cold for reasonable functionality up there. One trip on a really cold day and that could be it for you, of course the desert had its own dangers foremost being lack of water but at least it wasn’t death by an overabundance of frozen water. The water was frozen…people had no business in a place where the water freezes on the regular. He was glad that his family showed no inclination to move to Zena. He liked the Oban markets and the business to much. You could get almost anything you wanted at those markets as the caravans were quite reliable, coming from far and wide to add their pool of goods to the collective pot. Also the spices were unbeatable. He was missing them now with his sad sad travel fair of nuts. He had run out of dried meat, he would have to conscript a runner at the next possible opportunity to help him restore his stocks of food. It was either that or risk some hunting in this unforgiving place. He remembered when the rest of tendaji had been his haven, during the sketchy times of the Matorian -Oban war that tore his country apart at the seams. It had been successful though, the Matorian people had been left to properly live their lives without risk of enslavement by his people. There were so many stories and Oba was all the better for the practices’ abolishment.
He could raise his own children with a lightness in his heart that he had formerly been unable to enjoy. They had enjoyed close ties with the royal family and thanks to their collective hard work they had raised their family and their treasury to a point where they could live more than comfortably. He had been able to make some sound investments and continued to grow that wealth for the future. He would have to retire one day and he was bound and determined to do it comfortably. Varinia in turn also deserved to reap the benefits of a life of hard work. She was an amazing woman and he was always grateful that she had chosen him out of the sea of Oban males who would have been delighted to take a shot at her. He smirked, he had won! She had given him four beautiful children, all of whom shone with a bright starlight of their own. He worried more so about Variel but he hoped that she would find peace and happiness one day. He certainly could not complain about her work ethic she almost slept with her janarim and she trained and worked tournaments to achieve a high level of synergy with Xarthin that even he and Keelthy had not managed to do when they were her age. Xarthin had always been a quirky beast, but he seemed to adore Variel to a t. It made him happy that he had thought to make her a gift of the beast when he had. They had been meant for each other no doubt about it.
He would make sure to make it to her next tournament, though he had to admit that seeing his daughter go flying at the tip of the opponants lance always served to give him an instantaneous potential ulcer.

Vacation
Reillan looked out at Matori's lush tropical landscape. He had quit the army for a while and he was excited about this new adventure; vacation. He would be staying for three weeks to accommodate the visiting he wanted to do. Half of his family no called Kiyelt's massive ranch home or at the very least homebase and he was eager to meet his grandchildren. It was funny in a way , he had thought that Reina and Nic would have been the first to give him grandchildren. However when he really thought about it, Variel had consistently been more compulsive. Oh well, he was very grateful either way.He had not had much time to relax over the last few years. He wasn't all that sure what to do with himself for the duration of his stay, the army had consumed him for years when he wasn't with his family and it felt weird to be free of it for a while. He had plenty of time to figure himself out at least. What did he want to do now that he could do anything? Well fishing came to mind, buying and reading books, visiting family of course, swimming, maybe he would see what the ranch had for mounts. It might be nice to get a freshly started critter and go through its training together . Now that was a good idea, maybe on related to Xarthin even would be very cool! The more he thought about it the more he liked the whole idea. This plane would do him for a while with enough space in his time table for whatever else came up. A schedule made would be interrupted quickly for sure as they always were, but he abhorred doing anything without a plan. He wondered what Varinia was up to. She sure looked good for a grandma. He chuckled at how disturbed they both were, grandpa was a whole different story than Dad. He was eager to meet them and tried no to judge their Dad by their grandsire. After all his own family had been narrow minded. and he couldn't call Vulir that, promiscuous yes but not narrow minded. Viltre seemed to be cut from finer cloth.
Enough idle thought, time for cool vacation things! He made sure he had his reading spectacles some coin and a bag before heading quite jovially for the bookstore. It was a peaceful walk as he opened himself up to his surroundings. he felt for once like he was really connecting with a place. The light seaward wind danced through the many elegant palm trees, their gently curving trunks delineating their struggles as smaller trees. The former trials of saplings cast forever by the solid trunks of the adult trees. People were sort of like that. They too were shaped by worry, stress, joy and experience. As his trainer used to say; you and butterflies did not build character. The trees seemed to whisper to him soothingly as he passed. He thought it was a good sign. It was indeed soothing. The fronds sounded hard, not like leaves which ere softer. The palms sounded like they were encased in the keratin and thus made of much tougher stuff. Oba had a few palm trees and he had always paused to admire them but Matori was positively covered in the trees. They were not the only tree species present but they mostly outnumbered the competition he would like to learn more about hem and see. If there was any life advice he could glean from them. He might just take up the way of the palm tree after being so much a part of army life for so many years. Flowers and flowering shrubs with long elegant pistils lined the pathways and he admired the nice effect they gave as well as the poetic perfume that suffused the air. Matori was truly a special and spectacular place. He had been drawn to it from the first time he had seen it but his life enlisted in the army had always kept him away from it for long periods of time. At least he was able to change that now.

He finally arrived at the bookstore. It was a new one made from a log cabin and finely built. It had a lovely cozy feel and warm golden tones. There were potted houseplants in the window and the faint smell of pine pervaded the dwelling. Reillan had always liked the smell of wood dwellings they had an extra homey feeling about them. No bell jingled when he first walked in but there was a happy perzi on a poof that meowed his arrival to all and sunday. Her yowls summoned a handsome water male to him.

"Hi there, are you looking for anything in particular? He asked the tall, somewhat intimidating looking Oban who had entered his newly minted shop. In fact this fiery face was one of the first customers for him. It was very exciting.
"Nothing in particular, my family has all kinds of tastes in books, I will be a while, it has been a long time since I have seen a book store as well stocked as this one." With exotic beauties no less, so many books from all over tendaji. It was a vibrant collection.

The kind owner smiled and handed him a basket and wished him happy hunting. Reillan gladly toddled off to find out what paperian pleasures awaited him amongst so very many shelves. Many in his family liked reading, it was such an enjoyable passtime and where he kept his big words to impress small minds polished. It was also a creative outlet in a way but one in which you shared another's ideas in an intimate form of communication upon which you could focus your whole attention for a while and explore new things without ever leaving the comfort of the office. Or the bush depending on where you were and what you were doing. He knew many soldiers who read, it probably helped them some when they retired.

He had a while yet before he threw in the old hat, he was still young and capable, though it might be cool if he were one of the lucky folk selected to be legendary, hopefully reading helped with that too. He smiled at the thought of the gods tracking your reading levels. Would never happen they were all about will and morals so it seemed.

He sighed in peaceful contentment. It was moments like these that he looked forward to the most. The quiet, the serenity, the slowness of time and space (or so it seemed), downright peaceful it was. He was able to reflect and look inward as well as be curious and just enjoy each moment. He had even got a coffee for the experience, it really couldn't get any better than this. He selected a few books and added them to his basket. He stroked the leaves of some of the house plants as he passed, paying homage to their beauty and hopefully they could feel that. He was having the best day, the only thing that could make it better would be if his family were here but they were all busy doing their own things that he had the free time to himself. Oh well. Better to make the most of it than to mope the whole time about things he could not change.

He felt lighter the moment he started to think that way. Atta boy, doing it right. He grinned as he found four more books. Some were from family members but four were for himself. It would take him some time perhaps to get through them but it would be delightful. He would pack them around everywhere in search of good reading opportunities, he had the perfect leather satchel for the job too.

Happily he went back to the front where the till and the money exchange was handled, he and the owner exchanged a few words of greeting a bit of an introduction to who they were and handled the cash end of the deal. Books were one of the few things that he never felt guilty for buying as they were like vitamins for the mind. Needed and exceptionally healthy at least for someone like him, he knew there were plenty of people who didn't like to read and to each their own but his own liked it very much, from the ambience to the quiet to the smell of the paper itself reading was an experience unilke any other and some of the tales out there were quite fantastic whether they be true or made up in some fashion.

He had a few books in his personal library at home that he knew he would never part with simply because they were so good. One in particular about a golden ring was rather dashing it even had a dragon in it. He used to read it to his children.

Critters
It was another beautiful day in the cabin that he had rented, it had a stable attached and he figured, why not fill it with a critter, maybe two. He had always wanted to learn how to train from scratch. He at least had experience with janarim thanks to Xarthin, his daughter's mount which used to be his. But it would be cool to try a snaptrotter too, like the one Thal had, he wondered if Myr had fathered any clutches lately on the farm and decided to check the pedagry lists for the creatures he was about to see. Snaptrotters were more aquatic than he was used to. Xarthin had only liked to paw at water, not live in it. BUt they couldn't be that much different than a janarim, they both eat meat, he thought. Reillan sipped his coffee and had an extra spring in his step as he headed to Kiyelt and Nin's ranch. He wouldn't get beasts from anywhere else now would he?
The usual cacaughphony of noise greeted him. there were so many beasts always so far as he knew they had never had a slow summer. brisk beast business and capable staff. Kiyelt had written back to his initial inquiry and told him which beasts would work and told him to hide the money for them in the barn as there would be no one home likely when he got there, some big to do.

He walked briskly between the red marked pens that he had been directed to. The color meant very nearly unbroke. It would be a long process but he had the time and the family had already offered to tutor him, even Variel would help.
There were so many critter it was going to be nearly impossible to choose. Beasts of all colors roamed the busy pens and he was anxious to assess them all. A few he was able to rule out right away for one reason or anohter. Poor gait, poor attitude, an unattractive coloration ect. Some of the cirtters stood out right away as exceptional so he wrote their ear tag numbers down for further parusal later. Overall he was having the greatest time. It had been so long since he had let his hair down and really enjoyed something.

There was a lot of pressure associated with being a part of the Oban army and it felt liek the whole world had opened up for him. He had saved quite a bit of money so now he would put it to very good use. He would travel tendaji.

First and most familiar of his newest selections was going to be a janarim. Once he had his initial overview, he worked his way back to the ones that had stood out the most. And sorted again. From there, he had to admit that there were a lot of fine beasts, collectively belonging to the Ninyelt clan, both janarim and snaptrotter divisions. He was having the greatest time narrowing it down to the best. His daughter had helped him too, with tips and advice for beasts really stood out to him. He would get a female and this time hopefully she would bond him better than Xar had, boys would be boys. He behaved beautifully for Variel and had indeed sired some of the stock here today. They will be the ones with the lavender purple ear tags. Yes, two of his selection appeared to be from that particular family line. Excellent and one was female. She had a pure black scale with gold filigree. She looked expensive, but Kyelt had promised him a price for any as he was an old friend and got a discount especially on beasts he would be taming himself. Izkierka was what he would name her. His new darling. He went ahead and put the new red halter on her. She looked imperiously at him arching her neck and snorting Well, this was going to be a lot of fun. She had a distinct personality. What great stock they had, he was proud that this had come out of his old beast. He let her get used to it as he took a red snapper halter next and began making his way back to their pens by the water.

These were mostly gorgeous beasts, the three hand picked out looked very similar. They were triplets from a Myr breeding and all had slightly different black markings on them. The selected the one with the dark swamp colored skin and the least spots was a very pretty male called Kallaido. Now he had both of his selections, he put the money in old boot in the barn and took his animals back to the stable attached to his cabin. They went in separate stalls as he did not much like each other yet, but that was to be expected. This had been a big change for them. He went to bed that night with a big smile on his face. This would be such a fine soul searching adventure. He hoped he had picked out a winning team. It was very early to tell though he was excited to get going. Training was a very long but very rewarding process. If done right it formed a strong bond between beast and rider. That was the kind of awesome synergy he was after he slept well and actually dreamed of his new pets. He rushed to see them early in the morning to check on them. But they were okay all was well went back to bed for a while and then fed them at seven. It was very fun to feed them. There was much pleased growling, hissing and snapping of teeth. It was currently his favorite part, the feeding. They were such striking creatures to he felt that he suited them and hopefully the vice versa would be true as well. Animals taught one many lessons some lessons that only animals could teach to. He was excited for at all really and was ready to dive into this he would stay in Matori. For a while and get to know the basics. As well as visit family this would be home for a bit at least it wasn't too hard for his family to find him if they needed him. Heck ideal and Variel and her girls lived here with their mates. He would write often to Varinia and Reina, he did love letter writing it was very meditative and good for him. He had a leisurely morning letting his critters get used to his presence for short periods of time. In addition to the time that he spent looking after them. They had been handled well but we're still very green. Their education potentially incomplete or very incomplete. One never knew how much it would take for a beast pair to become on same page for at least most things, so he took it slow and gave them treats and scratches when they would let him and he was able to pick up all of their feet for health checks and cleaning so that was good. They were very slowly getting used to his touch but he didn't want to do too much of it and frustrate them so how patience and consistency were what was needed now. He took his time with them while still progressing slowly he took lessons from any of the Beast Tamers that would help him a lot of it was key out and he to progress quickly in skill at least he had had some experience with them before. Though not a strap topper. Snap Trotter specifically. The ninyelt clan had experts in both types of familiars. He was very fortunate that way the training was going well and he was having a very good time being so close to family. Even if his son always carried multiple bite marks a lot of the time that didn't puncture the skin so whatever. Eventually he was on to the saddle step for both of the animals that's not trotted took it like a champ and the Janome thought he was trying to insult her she was so very imperious was his Izkierka he already loved both of them to an extent. It was very easy to love animals quickly for him. They were just so communicative and usually pretty bad at lying. is definitely had more fire in her blood which coming from a very hot climate sort of made sense. She was very beautiful too and she knew it. He's beautiful and periods queen. He was well on his way to having great bonds with the beasts by the time he was ready to leave Matori to the next place on his journey.

He was happy to spend this time with his new critters. He had had fine beasts in the past but these two were very special. And they were being trained by him..extra special. He had found good critters indeed. He would have to find a handsome stud for Izkierka later and he would get a female or three for Kallaido. He would try his hand at that bit of beast breeding. For now he would train the ones he had to the nines.
Bonding and repetition, that was key, as were personal boundaries, he wondered what he would think of this day once they were trained. He also worried about how many hijinks there would be before that day. They were powerful creatures and they greatly outweighed his small (by comparison) self. The critters were just big blobs of muscle and sinew, he had fought against them in skirmishes and they were both terrifying. Now he had a set of his own. None of the military beasts had bonded with him as well as Xarthin had but he felt that was because he had never spent enough time with them.
He petted a soft snoot and had to admit that he lost a bit of his heart right there to the snaptrotter with the murky green back. Maybe he really was a reptile guy, Variel had always said he was rather cat like but he had never seen it really, in hindsight reptiles and felines were not all that different. She had also said he should get a perzi but he liked these two better than a cat that just sat there and wanted attention. You couldn't ride a perzi, though you could train them for protection work but he liked body guards that were a bit bigger. Both were decent hunters, at least perzi ate less.

The Big Show Solo
Word came from up top at beast ranch that soon there would be a public event put on by the influential beast tamer family and hosted therein a big Beast Taming Competition for people who had trained their own animals entirely or almost entirely, there were a few limitations and stipulations and there were even some classes for riders alone that didn't have to train their own beasts. It was overall quite flexible. Reillan had perked up at the news almost immediately as he had recently dabbled in training his own critters and both animals were now fully broke if still a bit green.

He felt his heart pick up with real excitement that was few and far between for him now adays at his ripe old age and soaked in wisdom. His heart skipped a beat at a few of the events and on the spot his signed up for them all, should be a good time. There were some exciting tidbits and the rest used for hilarity perhaps and the entertainment of the crowd. He had two beasts and was versatile with his choices, only a few events tested just his skill and not his critters with his.
He didn't waste any time in entering for each event with who he hoped was the the winning combination based on each beasts proclivities. Though the Wild Xaraan race was a draw, he drew a bird called Episky, which was yellow and cream feathered with no other distinguishing features besides the orange eyes. He paid his entry fees to the family member that had been assigned as cashier for that day, shot the breeze with them a bit and then fantasized about all the strategy he could hopefully use. There were perks to having been in the military for a very long time. He was assigned number 21. It was a solid number with two good numbers going into it. and the two inside added to make one of the multipliers. It amused him He thought it was good, though it also meant that there were at least 20 other participants in this event and he was newer at this. Welp fingers crossed.
He had to admit he was quite excited and was rearing to go on the day of the competition, course he had an advantage with lodgings on sight and a full Ninyelt family breakfast in his belly. The amount of meat these people must go through was astronomical between their beasts and their beastly apetites. He was amused at the fervor, beast taming was hard work though and he joined them in the honking meals when he was also actively training. The first even was the Egg Napping event, where you got to keep the eggs you stole, it was a classic beast game and tested the cohesion between a charmer and his critter. He first attempted with Izkierka and got 5 eggs with a spirited and fast janarim. He got four eggs with Kallaido who was also quite sneaky which was helpful. He was exalted that they had done so well with 6 other competitors.

The next event was the treasure hunt that was for people with snaptrotters mostly as it was a swim to different islands following clues and dig up treasure sort of thing that brought on much laughter and joy and freedom of spirit, spectators would chill on the islands with drinks while they watched the exuberant treasure hunters dig for goodies with their beasts. This sort of event got you small prizes and critter coupons. Plus there was a purse for the winner and runners up. He and Kaillaido got a running second, narrowly nosing out the pair coming in 3rd for the win. He was gasping for air, but he hadn't felt so alive in a long time. He patted his loyal mount, "What a good boy you are we got a good haul I'd say!" Three coupons, some gold, a rough cut ruby and cute carved wooded critters that were the most common beach prize. That had been one of the most fun things he had ever done.

There was a break for the mounts, poor Kallaido was next in the competition with him again for the obstacle course that awaited all the competitors. Kal had a bit of a big snoot but an extra flexible body so they managed alright and acheived in the end after a few misses that were specialty weeder out bits to test your communication with your animal and if he was being honest he used Izkierka a bit more as she needed more attitude maintenance and was a bit faster overland than Kal.

Then it was lunch, the announcer joked that it was so the competitors could get one last meal in before the next event the family time honored tradition of wild Xaraan riding, one of the most dangerous races that was still held in that age. It was a test of stickyness, stubborness and sheer will. Which of course meant that it was the most popular. Everyone started out in the arena holding the lead rope of a cagey eyed barely handled Xaraan who had a deadly kick and a just as deadly beak if they were bent to use it for evil. As he had said before his bird was yellow and cream with orange eyes, the announcer rolled through the members in the arena and the mount they had drawn introducing them and the critter and the critter's starting bid as why not make it a claiming race!

The horn sounded and off he went hurtling and trying to scramble up on the tall birds back while it squacked its opinion of this whole mess out at the top of its lungs sounding like a hoarse giant crow. He started swearing and scrabbled up scooting out behind three others and getting passed by a fourth not far out of the arena because he was not one all that well and was focusing on not falling off.
He came in 5th to many cheers, it was not a race that newbies usually did well in and he had impressed a few people with his sticky skills.
After a well deserved break and a large plate of rice and meat and a bit of time to digest he was energetic and ready to go again. There was much to be done. He warmed Izkierka up to general applause in the arena. She was a beautiful beast and they looked good together, he liked being people's rodeo hero, no wonder why his daughter loved the joust so much.

This was one of the fun events but he was doing his best to keep it serious for Izkierka's sake, she always took her job so seriously.
He selected his spoon and held it in his teeth and gathered his reins. They lined up and he took the egg he was offered and put it on the spoon in his mouth. Now to get over that finish line with the egg and his diginity still intact. He patted her neck and nudged her forward when the horn went off. One of the other started out a little to fast and they lost their egg right off the bat with a mount expecting something a little more Kentucky style. He tried not to concentrate on the drool building up around the spool. He kept his eyes where he wanted to go and nudged Izkierka hard, passing the trot like he told her and heading from a walk smoothly into a canter without the upset of the trot. He was rather proud of that maneuver that had taken forever and was a great thing when it came to war. Someone with a Xaraan made it over the line first with a rather smooth gait for a bird like that and he squeaked in about three lengths in front of a pair of ladies that somehow had a mishap behind him. He turned and saw that the women were on their mounts, eggless and fair screeching at each other like there was not tomorrow he started Izkierka back after tossing his egg to Kallaido who had watched patiently and ate that age snap quick. Izkierka minced her steps ready for war. He was pretty sure that was what the women were thinking too when one launched off her Xaraan to land on the back of the janarim so she could yoink the janarim rider's hair. Calmly Reillan scooped the little wind girl off the mount and laid her across Izkierka's saddle, she was most interested in her spity new rider.

Reillan rode away at a trot hoping to forstall his guest and help prevent the janarim rider from coming after him. Apparently the leafling had jostled her on purpose and they had both lost their eggs. It was really unfortunate and he understood her pain but it was not yet perhaps cause for hair pulling...according to the rules, so much as he often wanted to do the same it was frowned upon. He let the windling off and went back for the debreifing. He had indeed acheived a second and proudly pinned the ribbon to Izkierka's halter.

He thought she rather liked that.

Next up and last even of the day and that was good because he had been quite active for most of it. The main race was crosscountry and just as he had to lean on Kallaido more in the morning, he needed Izkierka for this now. Sadly his dreams of the first place ribbon were dashed relatively swiftly out the gate when someone jostled him pretty good on one of those godsawful giant pig things that was highly disturbing. Izkierka thought she then had the right to slaughter that pig for his insolence and she through a massive hissy fit that by the time he had calmed her highness back down, everyone including the darn pig and her rider and kipskied off down the trail without them! Last place it was.

Childhood Dream
He found himself doing quite a few things that he thought he might never have the opportunity to try; taming critters spear fishing, surfing, traveling a lot now that said critters were tamed. He had awesome new mobility and as such he could travel much further than he had been able to previously. It was like riding the wind, both beasts tolerated each other and he saw the occasional friendly gesture head but it was a very good thing as they collectively spent a lot of time together. It would be less than pleasant to have be snapping at each other all the time on the trail. He took some food with him and hunted and forged what he couldn't carry. He was impressed with the amount of ground they could cover. It would take forever to do the same with an armed unit. He loved this sort of swift, unfettered movement after years of slow plodding marches he had made it to Saudi and what felt for all the world like no time at all, though would actually been rather long for everyone else. He had stopped in and spent a week with his family in Oba, he would stop there again on the way back. He was sort of on a quest on which he needed to go alone because it was dangerous and because he might not succeed in what he was trying to do. He took both mounts and much equipment and food with him. He was looking for the impossible and willing to spend a long time in the wilderness to do it is a goal a dream since he had been but a small boy the idea given through battered Saudi and paperback, which had somehow fallen into his hands it had been reprinted over about a faraway land from long ago. That was what he had ended up with. It had inspired a lifelong dream to see a super Rama, a passion he had been buried for many years for one reason or another. Now it was alive and well, though not far for the faint of heart. They were so weird to be legends to most he felt it was some sort of rite of passage for him. However, by traveling as he did, he was able to trap cover more ground otherwise would have been possible. This mildly increased descent chances of success in the end, just having the adventure would count. At least he got to it in this life. He took a deep breath, a breath of freedom, and continued on to his destiny or so he let himself imagine like being an adventurer he had once been he felt young again for the first time in forever. His whole life had been about responsibility and routine only now can he achieve true introspection based on the huge differences between his past and present? He felt like it made him grow as a person no matter how entrenched in something you felt it was best to keep trying to better your situation. He never thought to have the amazing family he did or to be where he was right now with two animals. He loved very much. Dreams were possible and it was important to pursue them like a Sermal going after an aldabuck, you got nowhere in life by just standing still. Not that constant movement was always necessary. Just that the pause be your choice was all the older he got, the more he focused on balance over all of the other things flying so fast around the world right now. He specifically was responsible for his own happiness and this thing he was doing right now made him very happy. And that was the part that mattered most he couldn't wait to tell everyone his suit around the story, no matter how the trip turned out. At least he would have something to talk about. He spent quite a few days in quite rugged locations in Saudi and didn't see a blessing thing related to a suit Rama. You suppose they might indeed be a myth. After all, though, after a long and dusty fortnight of searching the Sauti badlands. He heard some harsh but elegant fluted calls and wondered if perhaps finally he had found a lead on this most elusive quarry. A rare and beautiful bird so he had read. His character snorted and rolled her eyes at him where she was picketed near his tent. Not least of which because she was with her size and fierceness offered no small protection bonus for him in his flimsy little tent. What is it girl who dared barely to whisper to her? She was a brave beast for the most part, but she was also quite young. He patted her big old snooty she gave the woods some major side i in the direction the calls were coming. It was pre Dawn now and a mark Merck pervaded the view in every direction, not quite light enough to see much of anything clearly. Perhaps that was also including himself. He slipped out of camp and dropped right into stealth mode he snuck even closer toward the sound he hoped his character did not be after him in some sort of distress. She had a loyal heart but it would be an approach to an opportune timing at the moment. He moved to thick branch out of the way only to see something bright and fiery take off burning through the haze like a brand. Though he only got a really good look at a few of the creature's tail feathers. It was already gone. So there was no more reason to be quiet. He let out a whoop of triumph it pierced the night around him, which was accompanied by an irritated grunt from his snaptrotter at the interruption to his naptime. Kallaido did love his rest and lizardy contemplation time where he wasn't really asleep but nor was he really all that awake either. "Sorry, kids," he said, but the whole darn raggedy trip had been worth it. Now he could go home and tell only his close family and friends. Whether they chose to believe him or not. Well, that was entirely up to them the rest of the world that's living around my would remain a mystery. But he had lived his boyhood dream had just a glimpse of the great myth and he would ride home with a great big smile on his face. He was bound and determined to get some super round motif clothing though. That would be exciting. What must the creatures look like in full glory? He wondered. Maybe he would be able to try again.

Stay Still
Reillan was having a great day lunging his janarim in the round pen. It was like tandem meditation, alittle more active than his regular training workouts. He had to pay attention to the beast he was working with as well as himself. It was a different lens than he was sued to and it was exciting to experience the difference. Xarthin had been mostly trained when Reillan had gotten him .These two were exceptionally fresh. They would allow pets and a halter so he had to train them from the ground up. He fgigured he might learn more than they after the whole process was said and done. The Ninyelt clan would help him out. He was grateful to be able to stay on the ranch, they had offered him a small cabin. He was very happy because Variel and Gajeel would be coming back to the ranch soon, Variel would be with the kids. He was excited to see them.

He had meant to go on a huge adventure, but between family and green broke critters, his plans had had to change. He wasn't sad about it. He did still want to go to Sauti for sure. He would get there later. He had already done quite a bit and the whole point was that he was happy with what he was doing. That had been his goal from the beginning. Plus! HIs cabin was very comfortable. So instead of a long extended adventure he was taking it slower and really enjoying himself in the moment. It had been so long since he was able to do that that he had quite forgotten what it felt like. It was fun to take day or short trips and just ride out on his new mounts in whatever direction struck his fancy.

Sometimes in life and in war, it was more prudent to hold your current position than it was to advance it unmercifully. Like it or not, he had to remember that he wasn't a machine. He was a man made of flesh and blood. He could feel a deep tiredness in his mind and marrow it had been accumulated over years and years of overworking himself. But now he could afford to relax and fix what had been made wrong inside. He could feel the tightness slowly loosening up but he's let his mind loose to travel the rhythmic movement of the dinar him in the round pen. It was a special bond between man and beast which he was excited to explore. It would be a different experience training a beast himself. To be there from the very start was cool. He hoped that it would mean a better bond between him and his critters. He looked forward to tomorrow for once not thinking about yesterday and enjoyed the present. This was a way of life that had eluded him for a long time he found he was quite enjoying it. Birds kept up a morning chorus he enjoyed their songs especially during his morning chores. He looked after his own critters every need, barely ever needing help from anyone else. He wanted a thorough bond between himself and them and had helped that along in every way. If one was consistent it got better results over the long term. The janarim's large feet thumped and dust billowed low in the arena. Strong muscles flexed and moved the heavily armored body easily. Reillan felt like the first ride that was coming up would be intense. This janarim was so powerful and Xarthin had been easy, quirky, but easy. This one was strong and fast and willful. He adored its movement but thought that their first ride would be quite eventful. The snapper as well, most likely. Both creatures had quite enough spirit to go around. They would be valuable team members on the trail later of this he was most sure they had received good grading from the beast Tamers on the ranch it was just to knock all the dents out of the bad behavior and unsuitable patterns real and brought the Janarim in and settled it preparing for the natural next step in the process. He tried very hard to ignore his racing heart. He had worked so hard for this moment he trained daily taking only one day off a week to get any other big projects done that needed to be attended to it. It seemed to work quite well. He put the saddle on just as they had practiced. Learning routines by rote was the most essential part. If it was routine, it was safe and deserved no fireworks. This was the goal. The result was a smooth, safe ride and a positive interaction. This of course did not always work out because animals like some people could be a bit unpredictable. That was part of going slow with intent, animals could also be sensitive so it was important to observe them closely. He felt like he had learned quite a bit since arriving at the ranch because he felt like the bonding was going rather well. He adored them both already and they were comfortable around each other he was quite pleased that he spent time with him every day he tightened the center and secured it. At first he leaned against the beasts letting him get used to the contact and he put his foot in the stirrup and put only a little bit of weight in holding it for longer and longer each time. So far, it was going great and the Gennaro M seemed to be bored with the proceedings. This emboldened Reillan and he swung the other leg over its back until he settled astride the beast. He took a deep breath he hadn't been launched off yet, so there had to be something right. For now. He would stay still until the beast got used to him being up there. Even tried not to breathe too. Hard. Least he upset the curious peace he was experiencing. He wasn't a spring chicken anymore to relish being tossed to the air. It was undignified for someone with his rank. That piece was abruptly shattered for no reason. As his two norm tried to understand the unexpected weight on her back there was rearing bucking, crew hopping and copious amounts of snorting real did his best to cling and be sticky, which was currently better than free flying through the air to hit the dirt, which was the only other option at the moment. It was one of the few times in his life where he couldn't think or hear or see anything else. Because all of his focus and attention was on the human creature below him. Somehow he wasn't backed off and he comforted the dinar and when it settled down somewhat so that it had an idea came across Lewis Okay, safe this was critical. When the genome settled enough he got off. It was good to just go slow to release to your animal. He gave the dinar him a lot of love before releasing her. And moving on to the lunging of the snaptrotter male. It was good work though sometimes frustrating. He saw why so many millennials chose the job or even just took care of their animals even if it was not their primary job. When it started to click it felt very satisfying training who knew he had trained himself his whole life, but that was entirely different than working with a creature. The snaptrotter was mischievous but friendly enough with a calmer disposition and the generic. He went through the same steps and got to do the same point this time. There were no explosions, and it was calmer. He didn't overstay his welcome up there either. He was super satisfied with how everything went. He spoiled the snap Trotter before letting him back to his pen. It was such a glorious day here on the forum. He sat down after all and gave all of his neck tech a good cleaning to be spiffy for the next time he wrote them a holdover from the army habits back in the day. He felt a very large feeling of accomplishment. This was no small feat getting to that part with half decent results. Now however, he was hungry and needed to eat he packed up and headed for the house. He couldn't wait to write his letter to Virginia tonight and tell her all about his fantastic training day. He was sure she would enjoy hearing about the kids and grandkids their family seemed to struggle over amatory and not too often were they all in the same place at the same time. He missed the times where they had been. They did their best to stay in touch though. Variel was decent with writing letters, but it was occasionally in circumstances where she couldn't send them. Gajeel was hit and miss but he usually turned up at the ranch after a month and two way. It was relatively easy to get in contact with him though. He wasn't quite sure where Reina or Gavril were at this exact moment. But he was sure they were about and he was happy. They had gotten twins. Four kids with a nice healthy number. He wondered how Kiyelt dealt with the clan that he and men had produced and they had triplets first

Solo set 5 - A Frozen Wasteland

Zena was a frozen wasteland, not for the first time did he question the wisdom of coming this far north. Sauti was one thing but Zena was something else. The wind seemed to be trying to pull out his soul. His extremities were unhappy and he felt like the tip of his nose would fall off. No wonder Kiyelt had moved to Oba and then Matori. If this was what his old home was like. Not all of it was bad though, he really enjoyed the food and cheer. Though he stayed in the cabin Kiyelt had built for his parents for when his large family visited from Matori. It was a big cabin to have just one person in it. But he didn't mind, better than sleeping on the ground while on the trail. Downright fancy, actually. He was able to hike into beautiful places covered in snow. The views were truly astounding. But the air hurt his face so he looked like a large mummy most of the time, trying to hold on to body heat well being adapted to losing it quickly. Truly a misery but he was the most fashionable the most homemade sweater Kiyelt's mom had been knitting for her son. "He doesn't need it anyway where he lives does he?" She had asked.

Kiyelt's parents were very cool, very relaxed people whenever he needed any help with his cabin they were right there. Other than maintaining the heat in his place, he was free to enjoy the town wildlife and landscape. So much time and effort here was devoted to simply surviving the long, frigid winters. He hadn't meant to stay for too long but winter had closed in early, effectively trapping him until spring or a significant reduction in snow level. So he took the time to really make himself feel a little at home in his cabin. Mail was still making it through so he wrote his family often, spring would be all the sweeter when he got to see them again. He hadn't been here for long and it already hurt because he missed them so much. There was just so much to see even if he did get stared at a bit in town. So what if he looked for times his regular size due to extra clothing, that didn't make him an abominable snow Janarim.

He rolled his eyes just like the way his daughter Variel had preferred when she was little. The thought made him smile inside. He drank hot chocolate at a book cafe. That had to be one of his favorite things watching fat snowflakes fall with a good book and a hot drink of his choosing. He wished his Var were there to enjoy it with him. He truly loved that woman and their beautiful children who were growing up at alarming rates. Plus one set of grandkids that were whip smart and chips off the old block. He couldn't be a more proud grandpa knowing that his line would continue. It was such a good feeling it felt like he was on a different world almost, this far from the heat of Oba, he would be taking a long time with warmth and family after this particular excursion. It was like achieving deeper thought but missing out on the very spice of life which was family. Though he had gotten some visiting in when he had been in Matori. It had been so amazing. He was excited to visit again. Currently it was snowing again outside again big fat flakes and intensifying as the moments went by. He thought he should go to the market, get some supplies and head home and make sure that he has enough wood in the cabin. There could never be enough wood. Thankfully there was a larger spot for it both indoors and outdoors.

He got his groceries and prepared for the inevitable rest of the storm. He had a big fat stack of books to read. There were so many good books he kind of hoped that the storm would last a bit. Perhaps that wasn't the best thing to wish for but he had become rather fond of his alone time in which he could do whatever it is that he wanted. Reading had grown to be quite a big part of that who she had lent him a book about a swashbuckling pirate adventure and he felt like he should read that one first. The snow was dimming the natural light which with with how heavy it was coming down so he lit a candle and opened the book to page one. After a cursory examination of the well appointed cover, he pulled out his now fixed spectacles and began the adventure. The story started out quaint and quiet. In a far coastal town around the baker's son, running off to find his destiny at sea rather than the more conventional method of land. He wanted to command a great ship one day Yes, that was his dream. Reillan had to admit that his heart sailed right along next to the kids character in the book.

Although the sea had never called his name he was he too was on a rough and tumble adventure where anything at all could happen at any time. He only had what capabilities he had it had not the his skills were inconsiderable but there was a limit of what one person could do. Even a person well skilled and learned. Even though his weaknesses were not physical, it was his family predominantly and they could all pretty well take care of themselves at this point.

That made him feel better, that he was traveling so much. But he was also gathering knowledge he could then take back to them to He glanced outside the sky was still releasing huge flakes of snow. He returned wholeheartedly to his reading the story delineated how the young man was hired on as a cabin boy and slowly rose through the ranks until years later he had been elevated into the captain position. As the old one was killed in pitch Meili. Thus did the unassuming baker's boy become a dream. What better thing to do then dream again as see what else he could achieve. This time the boy wanted success, so diligently he pursued that success. Years later, he was respected by all on the seas. As one of the most influential pirate captains in history. It was little wonder that Ushi had liked this book. The thought made real and smile and he continued reading through large life events and I pirate takes a bride before finding out that the old scallywag was old, retired and live far away on a remote island. What a fantastic quirk that was for the story. Anything was achievable, then so long as you were really willing to really work for it a good model for behavior even if most of the material dealt with some illegal act of piracy or other it vaguely held morels. He closed the book with a satisfying thump and yawn before putting more wood on the fire. He was more than ready for bed. sheets were cool, and he had to admit that the sheet slowly warming up was the most magical sensation to be found in cold and lonely Zena. Though it wouldn't be as bad to live up here as his family were here as well with him. He did require more sunlight though.

He slept like a baby all night without a care in the world. He woke up for breakfast to a very snowed in cabin. Good thing he had everything he needed for thought really paid off in the mountains. He hoped the others were okay. They probably had some magical Zenian way to get out of their house.
He stoked up the fire again for good measure, made breakfast and overall he enjoyed the vibe that he had nowhere to go and for a whole day could do whatever he wanted to do. It was sort of a wish come true as he worked on his sad attempt at crochet, perused his remaining books leisurely and ate snacks. He hadn't chosen a new book to read yet choosing to ruminate on it for about an hour as he had the time for a change. He performed his regular morning workout and read one of the local newspapers that Kiyelt's parents had kind of left for him no doubt after they realized it had come out a few days ago. It was very interesting to read the news of different places. Travel truly was quite amazing. He wasn't sure he would ever be able to quit it so long as his body still worked. Old age caught up with everyone that was part of the point of trying to travel more now. Plus he was bringing in extra coin with the odd mercenary job he took on, the extra he sent home for the family to use. He would always be loyal to them no matter how far his travels made him go. But it didn't make being away from them any longer or less harder than it already was. He found more solace in more books he started to in Italy hope popped back and forth between them until lunch. When the rainforest one snagged his whole attention with what might have been one of the most well written action scenes he had ever had the privilege to read. He wrote down the author for reference later. It was oddly easy not to panic, even though he was quite literally trapped in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. However, there was nothing more he could do about it. So he settled in and truly enjoyed himself. He felt oddly at peace closed in and comforted. It was a nice feeling after all, he was going to be rather rounder after all this was done. There wasn't much else to do but read write letters and eat his own cooking so peaceful. Eventually those on the outside would penetrate the drifts down to his door and he would be able to be freed. But it may take a while if there was many people in such situations so he napped luxuriously to he felt so very decadent, who was one of the most interesting self care weeks he still remembered it fondly. Years later, that cabin in the snowy woods. It was a few days until he freed was freed and he didn't make too big of a deal of it In spring he headed back towards his family and Oba he needed to sink heat back into his bones Lena had done its best to suck it out of him nothing for it but some good healthy r&r. At home in his own bed for change. He had a feeling he had energy for one more trip or two and then he might be good for travel for a while but oh man what a ride it was, he had learned so much.

Travel had really opened his mind to all of the beautiful and strange that was out there arisings of mysteries really inside deeply he was content with the strength of character that he had displayed throughout his adventures. Quite often people got to know who they truly were in one way or another with the freedom presented to them. He had developed in character but had not suffered any drastic swing and personality. He had always been pretty stalwart even in comparison to his brother who took very much like him. He missed Keel too they had drifted apart at one point and oddly hadn't heard from him in quite a few years. Sometimes distance intruded where it wasn't wanted, however, he was sure he would have been informed if anything had happened to his brother. That much he knew, no one would dare mess with that bond.
