Varinia sighed as she picked at her food. It had sounded really good when she was making it but now that it was done and she was sitting down to eat...yeah not so much. Giving up, she put her fork down and took care of the dishes. It didn't really seem like she was going to be able to eat it so she would just try to put it away for later perhaps. Maybe after a nap. The thought made her nose wrinkle. She wasn't old enough where she needed an afternoon nap yet! Vari huffed in annoyance before giving in and going to go lay down on the couch with an arm slung over her face. "I'm not old enough yet..." She complained.

Reillan came home from a round of training to find Var uncharacteristicley layin gon the couch. “You feeling okay love? Can I get you some water or tea? A lift to the bed?” He settled by her and felt her forehead gently. “No fever.”
Maybe she had just done a lot in the morning but Var was always full of energy.
She had to be to keep up with her charges.

"Yes and no." Vari answered. Yes she was ok but she also wasn't. Yes she wanted some water but maybe tea sounded better. Or maybe she should just wait a bit. "I was hungry so I made something to eat and then I didn't want it and now I just feel so tired." She pushed her head into his hand. Maybe if she wiggled her head a little he would run his fingers through her hair like she liked.

“Is there something particularly stressful going on at the palace?” He sometimes couldnt eat if there was too much going on. He smiled as she pushed her head under his hand. Obligingly he ran his finger through her gorgeous hair. It was soothing for both of them.

Varinia shook her head slightly while relaxing under his massage. "No not really. Its been pretty basic stuff with Naevius lately." Just as soon as she started to feel really relaxed she bolted upright with a hand to her mouth and ran to the closest bathroom before her stomach emptied itself. Vari sat there on the floor for a few moments before she felt her stomach settle. "Reill?" she called.

He followed after her. “Well that might explain why you lost your appetite.” He stood at the door. “Didn’t this happen once before?” He seemed to recall something similar around the time they had conceived the girls, maybe some of the food they had eaten had been bad, his stomach hardly ever had issues so he wasn’t a good indicator.

She nodded her head. "Yeah...I think you're right." Varinia looked down to her stomach. "I think I'm pregnant again." She laughed a little. "You know when we talked about this back on Yael...I wasn't thinking the gods would think we're ready so soon again." Her hand rubbed gently on her lower stomach.

He paused a great big grin blooming on his face. “True we got to practice more before the girls.” He enfolded her in a hug. “Im so excited Var, even for the food fights which will last until the first time they throw the baby food at me and the walls. I’m so ready for diaper duty.” He just wished that he could help her more physically, though he felt like the labour would have him passed out with the pain. She was way stronger than he was in that respect.

Varinia laughed. Sure they'd gotten plenty of practice before the Reina and Variel so maybe they gods deemed them proficient. She couldn't deny that they had made two beautiful girls. "I wonder what little one is inside? Think we might get a little boy this time? A little hellion like you?" She could only imagine a little boy after the two girls they've had.

“He would keep his sisters on their toes and idolize you, sounds like a good deal to me.” He had been a mamas boy when he was young. “I love guessing. I hope they get your freckles.” He gently traced the bridge of her nose. “And maybe my back crystals.”
He was good with whichever gender the gods decided to give them but it would be pretty cool to have a boy.

Finally feeling well enough to get up off the floor, she rose and leaned against him. "That sounds nice too. As long as they're healthy and happy I'll be a happy momma." Varinia thought she'd like a couple of boys running around here, they were so different from raising girls. If Varinia hadn't been a big part of Nicias' life she wouldn't really know how different it could be raising boys and girls. "I wonder what the girls will think about having more siblings..." She wondered how they would react when they were told. She could try to write to Reina and hope it gets to her or they would just have to wait until she decided to come home and hope that it was before this baby arrived.

“I think they will be excited.” He rubbed her back gently. “I’ll tell my superior right away,” he would be there for her when she needed it. “Might get them to come visit more often you know?” He hoped so. Variel had her eyes on Matori and Reina was already out and about. Travel was good for the soul and their minds. He had certainly grown a lot from his travels.
“I’ll start looking for cool fabric finds when im in the market.” He would buy them for her clothes creations as there would happily be a need. Though he thought there were a few old baby clothes lurking in nooks and crannies.

Varinia nodded. "I'll make sure I let Naevius know soon as well. I can only hope that our girls will be around for any other siblings to know as well. I just hope they'll be here to welcome any sibling into the world and meet them for the first time, you know?" At the mention of new fabric for clothing projects her eyes lit up. "Yes! So many new things to make. I'll have to make up a few things before this baby arrives and then make more gender specific things afterwards."

“I agree love.” It was better to be there to welcome family into the world. “Hopefully this will be enough of a draw.” He was very happy he had made her excited. Being parents was the most rewarding thing. “I can’t wait to see your new creations.” She was pure talent, whenever he tried his daughter Variel giggled at him as he stuck his own thumb more than once. “Ill repaint the nursery, it has faded just a bit. What theme would you like?”

"We'll have to see what I come up with them and hope I don't disappoint everyone." She teased. "What do you think it should be? I'm really not sure. I don't want to chose a theme that is too feminine or masculine and them lean a certain way and get upset if it's not that, you know? What do you think would be a good gender neutral theme? I'm not too big of a fan of yellow...so lets think of something different."
