Our thread has been set up! Subscribe today for the latest updates. We'll also be dropping some overdue growths while we continue to prepare for an official launch. More details on that coming soon!

We have taken a look at our breeding requirements and made a few adjustments we'd like to share!
1. Breeding timers are now based on the character, not the owner. So that means you can submit more than one breeding at a time. There are still youngling slot maxes.
2. For Earthling NPC breedings we've updated the requirements to match the current state of Tendaji. Solo wordcount is now 600+ and your NPC can be ANY pure Earthling race as long as makes sense for the plot/situation of the character.
3. For Aishan solo breedings, they've also been updated with the new wordcount.
4. NPC breedings may now roll to see if they get twins! You will only be able to keep one, so you can now spread the love! This also is an option for solo Aishan breedings.
5. Finally, Kahikinans will now have an NPC option to match those of Earthlings.
All of this information has been added or will be added to the breeding threads by this weekend! We hope you enjoy these changes - let us know if you have any questions!

Fluid Growth Timer!

Hey everyone! We're testing the waters with a new idea and hopefully something that will help out our owners. Staff will periodically check on the work load of the artists and adjust the owner growth timer to accommodate our to-do lists.
What this means is that when the artists are busier, the growth timer will be longer, and when the artists have more time on their hands, the growth timer will be shorter. (While hopefully never being longer than the original 4 weeks.)
This is for owner growth timers (not character growth timers).
The timer for this stretch has been reduced to 2 weeks.

For five years, the world of Tendaji has been expanding and changing. Many struggle to remember the time where war was right around the corner - now, the world is peaceful and connected. There's hope that in the future, even the Aishans may become friendly enough considering their unsteady history.

We've moved the meta points thread over to the new guild and converted all points over to our current standards. The numbers you see are the pure growth points your character has. Remember, these points expire when you submit a growth, so you should plan on using them during the current stage!

We're excited to share some more news! We know many of you worked hard to get your characters to stage 4 with hopes of reaching the legendary stage. We've evaluated the process to fit it in with the new shop and are happy to announce a way for your characters to become legendary!

Breeding More Than Twice

We’ve made a major update to the breeding system of Tendaji! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
- Characters may - with special approval - breed more than the traditional 2 times. For this to happen, owners must PM Suhuba and explain the reason for additional breedings before working on the breeding requirements.
- The PM must include the intended parents and why they would like to breed again. This may be as simple as always wanting a large family or more complex depending on the characters’ histories. Keep in mind that Tendaji does not allow one night stands, so if a character is looking to breed with multiple partners their request may not be approved without the right circumstances.
- Characters breeding more than twice will not be able to opt for triplets! Only the number typical of that type of breeding will be approved.Mystery Adoptions!

After a lot of teasing and secrecy, we're excited to announce the next big thing coming to Tendaji - Guilds! These are ways for players to work together and earn activity based rewards...and we can't wait to see how you explore and expand this system!
What is a Guild?
Guilds are a player-driven social system that, when actively maintained, will grant unique rewards for the members. Guilds are something that players cultivate through roleplay, events, and adventures, both created between the players and assigned from staff.
Guilds will have a dedicated thread in this subforum to host their information. Using this, members will be able to RP with each other for added guild perks (described in a separate post below) that apply toward growths!
Rewards!
Active, influential guilds are renowned across Tendaji. Not only are they considered the best of the best, their players also receive unique rewards and perks for their participation. If a guild misses scheduled activity checks, then it will become inactive and the rewards will no longer be available to the players.
All approved guilds in good standing receive:
- Reduced post count for Guild "Job" RPs (8! As stated in the post above)
Guilds also have a chance to receive performance bonuses that go beyond the typical perks:
- VP to be awarded to each active member, per Guild Owner discretion.
- Access to special, Guild-only character bases
- Full-Art Growth Opportunities
- Character Redraw Opportunities
- Guild-Specific World Events
- Guild-Specific Adventures
- And more!
These are awarded based on: activity, performance, raffle, and more! We will announce when opportunities arise for guilds to apply/earn the special perks.
Important Note: These special bonuses cannot be used unless Tendaji staff has approved their use!

An Unexpected Update!

There are changes coming to Tendaji!
Staff have been working hard behind the scenes to update Tendaji and encourage play and RP. We’ve made a handful of changes to Tendaji over the course of this week and are excited to share them with you!
Growths!
From now on, growths no longer require a growth solo! Growths will be required to list a growth blurb, indicating how the character has grown over their current stage. This is listed in the growth form for prentices through Stage 3. Make sure that your character has had some form of growth or plot progression during their stage before applying for growth!
Hybrids
There is no longer a restriction on hybrid vs pure characters in Tendaji. We hope our owners won’t abuse the lift on limitations, but we feel like it is no longer an issue with all of the activity we’ve had with breedings, events, and quests.
Kahikinans
The biggest change is we have updated the entirety of our Kahikinans! We understand that some of the Kahikinan lifestyles were difficult to keep track of and they were harder to play being confined to being in the water. So we’ve updated their looks and culture to reflect what we hope will be an easier transition to RPing with the other members of Tendaji.
|| Kahikinans are now amphibian! They live primarily on land near water, but can also be in water for extended periods of time.
|| Since they are now amphibian, they no longer have scales. Their patterns and colors will stay the same, but they are now markings on their bodies (like arrow dart frogs and other bright amphibians).
|| Kahikinans no long have gills on their necks. Since they are not fish related, they have lost this trait. Their other traits will remain the same though.
|| Kahikinans no longer lay eggs. They reproduce through normal means, but are hermaphroditic in nature. What this means is that they can still breed with all members of Kahikina regardless of chosen gender, but they can also breed with all the other species of Tendaji. Please keep in mind our RP rules, but Kahikinans can now form romantic relationships with Earthlings and Aishans if they so choose. (Kahikinan hybrids with non-Kahikinan races are still restricted to breeding only though!)
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message Suhuba or one of the co-owners and we will be happy to problem solve with you. We understand that this is a large change for some characters who were active with previous Kahikinan restrictions, but we want to work toward making all species of Tendaji active and fun to RP.
