.|| The primary rule is to always follow Gaia TOS.

.|| Do not steal any art associated with the shop. All artwork submitted to the shop that is official shop art is considered property of the shop.

.|| Tendaji has a lot of information to offer, and even more things to be discovered as our story progresses! So, please do your best to read over all of the information before asking questions.

.|| If you have thoroughly checked out everything we have to offer and still have questions, feel free to visit the FAQ with further inquiries.

.|| Do NOT assume anything regarding rules or procedures in the shop. If something is not stated: ask us first!

.|| If you are having concerns, please feel free to contact Suhuba and we will do our best to assist you as quickly as possible!

.|| As far as RPing is concerned, quality over quantity is the key, every time. One-liners are still frowned upon; give your partner something to respond to.

.|| When RPing (whether a PRP or shop event) each character must have their own gaia post. Characters cannot share posts in order to avoid confusion.

.|| No godmoding or powerplaying at any time without your partner's consent. If you do have their consent, please make a note of it at the beginning of your post.

.|| Please keep swearing to a minimum in RP. Absolutely no F-bombs (or its variations) in group/official activities such as Meta chapters, class quests, and games.

.|| Please keep in mind that Tendaji is intended to be friendly and safe to all. Tendaji is PG-13 at best and any content that is seen as inappropriate or too graphic can be cause for immediate dismissal.

.|| We do check for activity. If you have not posted in over 3 months we reserve the right to retire your character(s). If you have not set up their journal in 1 month after receiving them we also reserve the right to rehome the character if necessary.

.|| In the guild, you can also find a complete list of Forum Rules.

Hundreds of years ago, a plague struck the earth…

Living organisms were broken down at an atomic level from the inside out, their genetic make-up altered completely. The Earth itself was changing, the plague leaving a sea of radiance and color in its horrible, malignant wake.

People fled to the farthest corners of the earth, hoping to survive. The resulting segregation and individualistic mentality left a xenophobic, battle-minded world in its wake.

Today, survival depends on cooperation between every member of the small societies that have slowly begun to repopulate the land. Three species now inhabit the world: The Aishans, the Earthlings, and the Kahikinans.

And so our story begins anew… on Tendaji.

Jauhar, Tendaji’s rainforest, is teeming with evolved flora and fauna. The trunks of trees and plant species that grow near the forest floor are dark shades of blue, purple, and red. The myriad fungi, however, have a tendency to glow, throwing small patches of the constantly dark world into pools of soft, neon light. Colorful crystal formations can be found just about everywhere, clinging to trees, the undersides of mushrooms, and, occasionally, sprouting straight up from the hard, black soil. [read more]

Located on the two islands west of Jauhar, Chibale Island is the home of all Alkidike. Their grounds are firmly protected and house the sacred Tree of Aisha, the birthplace of this strange species. Alkidike that have moved off Chibale return once a year for the sacred ritual of Creation, such a heavily kept secret that no one knows what goes on during this time.
This area of Tendaji is restricted to members of the Alkidike only. It is in this area that breeding little ones take place. [read more]

Tale, the Savanna region of Tendaji, is composed primarily of dirt and soft, off-white sand. The earth is extraordinarily cushioned here, like a bird’s down to the touch. All of the plants, grasses and trees alike, have deep roots in order to reach water hidden underground. Thus, removing them from their standing-place is nearly impossible. Thick, strangely twisted trees grow in a variety of blue, green, and yellow hues. They dot the landscape sparsely, but where they grow, they grow in thick clusters, indicative of an underground spring lying somewhere hundreds of feet below the earth’s surface. [read more]

Sauti is an expansive and mountainous region inundated with purple, grey, and mossy green hues. The air here is cool compared to the regions of the southwest. The air itself seems to take on a golden hue, as though the sun is being filtered through a sort of mist. The earth itself is dense and craggy, unfit to support a large variety of life. It is nearly impossible to create a stable settlement in the mountainous region, due to the sparsity of food sources and the difficult terrain. A few, small locations have managed to support settlements. However, for the most part, those who live in Sauti have taken up a nomadic style of life. [read more]

The region of Zena occupies the north-eastern most part of Tendaji. As such, it is undeniably the coldest area in the land. The rocky, mountainous terrain is almost always covered in a thick layer of ice and snow, making it a beautiful, yet treacherous place in which to live. Greys and blues are the dominant hues in Zena, and all of it glitters spectacularly whenever the sun shines through to hit the frozen landscape. However, as often as it is sunny, it is windy; fierce, cold air that is capable of piercing through even the thickest fur. Thankfully, there are plenty of shallow caves in which to take shelter, should such a storm hit, but there are not too many creatures who live in Zena. Only the most well-adapted make this land their home. [read more]

The nation of Oba holds the largest amount of inhabitants not just in ratio to its size, but in raw numbers as well. Oba holds more than half of Tendaji's total inhabitants, its cities large and well equipped to handle the massive amounts that reside there. Their buildings are very seldom one story, many in the largest cities stretching toward the sky enough to hold ten to fifteen families per building. Their homes are mainly made with clay packed together, but it is reinforced with wood in order to sustain the growing upward habits of the cities. The lands are sweltering hot in the day and drop to low temperatures in the night, the sand not retaining any of the heat of the day. [read more]

Matori is the smallest area in Tendaji, surrounding a large inlet in the south-eastern end of Tendaji. The entire nation is nearly all coastline and beach, leading to tropical lives and culture. The buildings of Matori are small and clustered together, with breezeways and open designs to allow for airflow, but can be closed up when the rains come. Since Matori's entire land lines coasts and beaches, fresh water is hard to come by and typically takes a trip of three to four hours to reach the nearest stream or brook. Cliffs line the northern edge of Matori, becoming a natural border to their nation, but also cuts them off from Sauti and most of Tendaji. [read more]

The Island of Yael is the largest island known to Tendaji, reaching about a quarter of the size of the mainland. Not having known the detoxifying qualities of the Alkidikes' mother tree Aisha, the soil of Yael is dangerously full of toxins and chemicals. The yaeli seem to have adapted biologically to the toxins, but have left them with odd physical traits in the process. [read more]

The continent of Belrea is the newly discovered home of the Lightning and Geian earthlings. It is smaller than Tendaji in size, but houses many more people in large towering cities that grow upwards once they cannot grow out any longer. The people of Belrea have placed technology and knowledge on the highest of pedestals, focusing on knowledge growth as the utmost priority for their society. They feel that by improving technology, they can in turn improve society. The continent of Belrea is the most technologically advanced area within Tendaji. [read more]

Pale’iko is a vibrant area that flourishes thanks to its natural spring and massive rivers. The spring leads to sweeping falls that feed the river, eventually splitting into lakes. Now that the Great Dought has ended, the river is starting to return and connects Pale’iko to the sea to the south once more. [read more]

Elehun is known for its slow moving, murky waters. Creatures of all sorts live in the dark waters, providing both ample hunting ground and areas of danger depending on what is dwelling beneath the surface. Most settlements in Elehun are self-governing, and limited exposure has occurred with their neighbors. Elehun, based on its geography, is the most likely to have smaller settlements other than the ones listed, but all will follow a form of the Ko’kapu. [read more]

The area of Haukea is as bright and vibrant as its inhabitants, the Hapuna. Teaming with animal and plant life, Haukea is a bustling hub of trade, community, and growth. The beaches and coastlines are lined with various species of mangroves, protecting the area from the harsh waves of the open ocean, allowing for the laid back life that the people of Haukea live. Centered around the Great Reef, the towns of the Hapuna not only feature the housing structures nestled against the gentle waves of the inlets, but also the sturdy platforms that the Hapuna use to casually sunbathe out on the waters. With islands so far out in the ocean, Ka’lei had been hard to reach for all but their neighboring Hapuna cousins. Their dense foliage and landscape of drops and trenches cast a permanent shadow in Ka'lei. Light filters off and leaves the villages nestled in the bottom of trenches near-black. But where sunlight might not reach their depths, bioluminescence lights Ka’lei’s settlements. The people of Ka’lei use the bioluminescence from the plants and animals to light their towns, engulfing the buildings in a dusky glow and cast of shadows. This gives the cities here an eerie and... otherworldly vibe. [read more]

Deeper and darker than anywhere else in Tendaji, the caves of Po'lua are navigable only by the most experienced of residents. For those unfamiliar with the caves, they appear cold, dark, and nearly void of life. But for the residents with their attuned eyesight, the caves are filled with bio-luminescent flora and fauna. If a visitor finds the right guide, they might find themselves going on a grand adventure deep down to the center of the world. [read more]

From the blooms of a tree planted to save the world came a strange bug-eyed species known as the Aishans. Long, pointed ears, big bug-like eyes, and antennae characterize this completely female species. Developing a culture focused on training and battle, the group that called themselves the Alkidike eventually spread out to the other areas of Tendaji.

The Alkidike have since branched out and expanded, settling on Yael, Belrea, and Kahikina. These locations have born alternate races with looks vastly different than the original Alkidike. The Alkidike, Elaria, Vandrea, and Elidae now live within Tendaji as cousin races.

Once called humans, the earthlings of Tendaji have transformed into a colorful collection spread out across the lands. Based on their geographical locations, Earthlings take on unique traits in their eyes, skin, hair, ears, and even the crystals that sprout from their skin.

Each earthling race has their own history and events that set them apart. While they started off separated from each other, eventually they began to travel, explore, and meet each other. They soon found that they were more numerous than they thought, with rich history that is slowly melding together as they continue to interweave their cultures.

Across the great ocean lies Kahikina, a large continent covered mostly in water. Unlike the Aishans and Earthlings of Tendaji, Kahikinans are an amphibian species known for their vibrant markings and affinity for water. The races of Kahikina vary depending on where they live, be it the rivers, marshes, oceans and even deep caves. Each group has a unique set of traits that set them apart from each other.

Mostly a friendly species that primarily focused on trade, their contact with Tendaji has opened their world to battles, magic, and learning to adapt to the strange customs of their new neighbors.

An adventure is a group activity that will have some sort of goal that has to be achieved by the players. This can be anything from an interrogation, treasure hunting, a busy tavern scene, a quest to retrieve something for a person of importance, to other endless possibilities.

Adventures are quite literally D&D one shot sessions that are set within Tendaji! We will host at least one session a month, and this session will be played in real time for about 2 hours. What class your character picks in Tendaji will directly reflect their style of play in the adventures and what their stats will be.

For More information on adventures, visit the Adventures in Tendaji thread!

The world of Tendaji offers breeding, an option for characters to be able to make families of their own and extend their stories beyond themselves. There are rules and requirements that must be met before a breeding can take place.

New owners start with a limit of 3 character slots that can be expanded on through growths. Tendaji has numerous ways to snag yourself your first character.

Events

Every so often, Tendaji throws an Event that will be announced in the Main Thread. These events could be a Choose Your Own Adventure, Raffle, or Prompt response event, with the prize being a pre-made character. All our our events are always hosted on the second page of the main thread so keep an eye out!

Quests

There are two areas you need to set up a Character Quest.
The Character Quest Forum, where you will post your application.
The Quest Set-Up Thread, where you will find the required information to start a quest.

Using the information from the Quest Set-Up thread, create a new Topic in the Character Quest forum. Marking your quest with [U/C] NAME (with name being replaced by your character's name), take as long as you need to build your character.

How many characters can I have?
All owners start with a tentative limit of three characters. Through growths of their current characters, owners have the opportunity to open new character slots. If you visit the Forum Rules thread, you can find more detailed information about how to open additional character slots.

How can I get a character in Tendaji?
We offer shop events which have a variety of games and contests to win characters, as well as our character quest system. Owners have the opportunity to use either or both options to get characters in Tendaji.

Can my characters be taken from me?
We try to be very understanding with RL schedules and conflicts, but we do like to see our pets used. If there is no activity for 3 months with your pet or in the thread, we retain the right to take back and possibly rehome your characters.

Does my character have to participate in adventures?
Definitely not! We've designed adventures so that they are fun for whoever is able to join them, but they are not required to grow or maintain your characters. If you would rather not be in adventures, there's plenty of other ways to have fun in Tendaji.
