This tiny fair is a tribute to our wonderful partners in all that is knowledge, and this year, we offer new exhibits and activities for you and yours! But as always, the main event is our Match Making Service, a blind date set up to find the next pair of stars destined to be together for all of time!
We exaggerate, of course, but we are proud to let you know that more than a few of those who have attended such an event still remain happily together with those they met!
Find your love and your very own star beside our shimmer Observatory, or feast your eyes and your belly on our array of mouth watering treats that are more than out of this world, they are out of this galaxy! The Fair is a fine, wonderful place to find both fun and education, all tinged with an overabundance of hearts and stars and pinks and reds everywhere! Not old enough to participate in the dating aspect? Well, that’s just fine, we’ve got events for all ages! Feel free to visit the places listed below, and explore the Destiny City Air and Space Museum to your heart’s content!
gaia_star Below are a few prompts put together to encourage everyone of all ages to enjoy the little fair that’s going on! You do not have to sign up to use these, nor do you have to be 18+ to use them. Go with your friends, or use as solo fodder! These are just here for funsies!
The moment you walk into the museum and ignore the first huge splash of heart balloons and streamers, you realize just how huge this place is! It’s more than a little easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of this free event! Which, in fact, you do. Where’s your friends? Did you come alone? And… Oh dear, where’s the exit? One of the more grand exhibits seems to be an actual hot air balloon ride out on the museum’s massive front lawn. Although tethered, it still seems to go up rather high… Almost to the point where it seems like just a wee little dot in the sky… Is that even possible? Whelp, time to face your fears, one way or another and take the ride up! Our certified flight assistances are there to make sure you have the best of times! Not everyone seems to be very fond of this little Fair with all of its hearts and puns and horrible 50’s space motif. In fact, it seems that people are using some of the heart and star shaped balloons and a marker to leave more… Unpleasant puns, or phrases around. Just who in fact is doing this?! Why, this balloon seems to say something along the lines of "Shoot for the Moon! Even if you miss, you'll end up tumbling through space, lost and forgotten for all eternity.” Well, that’s not very celebratory, is it? Despite it seeming like an awful idea to have food near exhibits that are meant to be touched, you must admit, the food smells divine! Everything is either heart, star, plane, or space ship shaped and everything tastes amazing… Supposedly anyway. That’s what the person who’s beckoning to the people to the buffet is saying. You suppose you just have to see for yourself. What sort of fair would this be without any fun and games?! … Maybe a boring science fair, but this is more than that! It’s science and love! So take a ride through the tunnel of space love, a surprisingly long boat ride that takes you through an educational and romantic interpretation of space as we know it! Or try your hand at various booth games with prizes themed with, as you guessed it, LOVE AND SPACE! With enough tickets or tokens, you’re sure to go home with something more than a little excessive! That, we guarantee! Though they weren’t exactly advertised, it seems as if there are several ‘lessons’ going on within the museum. How to make chocolate candies, lessons in liquid nitrogen ice cream. There are even lessons in how to operate the big fancy plane in the middle of the central hall! Not that you really can anyway. Slots are going fast, so better sign up sooner rather than later! Unfortunately for you, it seems you misplaced your wallet! Somehow between the exhibits, buffet, and the mass of games it slipped right out of your pocket or purse and ended up in the hands of someone else! How kind of them though, looks like they are trying to return it! Or… Oh no, maybe they aren’t! With the night finally winding down, you find yourself by an empty exhibit. It’s a small, empty chamber with giant curtains, thick and heavy that blocks out all light and sound from outside. As you go in, one by one tiny lights twinkle on and off, simulating the cold vastness of space, in all its wonder and eeriness. For a moment, you feel incredibly lonely, lost and afraid in this room that seems all but abandoned by that warm happy light from the fair. It takes a moment, but eventually you manage to break away from that feeling and leave the room, back into the loud and excitable hustle and bustle from all the other activities. If you try to go back, it seems to have vanished, and that lonely feeling you have just won’t seem to go away, at least not until you hug someone.
