In a small yet bustling plaza, set under the shade of a particularly large awning, sits an out-of-place looking booth. While the chitin plating-styled plastic seems to have the goal of glistening, sandy wind has quickly scratched it down to a dull matte finish. Lights sit dark in the frames, and a service drone can be seen crouched down a little way away, despondently banging a spanner against a bit of broken machinery. Nevertheless, a small crowd has gathered around the booth, and it's branding is still clear, reasonably bright, and prominent as a Superstar Authority sponsored structure. Opened boxes sit stacked behind the booth's side pillars, and a few trolls mill around unpacking and distributing various knickknacks from them, but the focus of attention is definitely the troll standing in the centre of the booth.
A few trolls in Superstar Authority branded clothing circle the crowd, passing pre-signed swag out to the crowd.
Seraph and her sponsors spared no expense in glamming up her booth, complete with dazzling lights and oh-so-much glitter. Fun pop music pulses through set of speakers pointed towards the street, loud enough to get the attention of passersby, but not so loud visitors cannot talk over. The diva herself alternates between 'casually' posing at the booth counter, and singing over an instrumental track. Her outfit is not quite as radiant as the one she wore at the introduction ceremony, but nonetheless eye-popping. She is wearing a gold and black blazer with a metallic sheen, a black skirt and leggings, thick heels, gloves, a pair of gem-studded shades from her sponsor, Lorata Gorgos. Her lusus mostly spends his time napping, though every once and a while he rouses himself from his box of cupcakes to assist Seraph with performing and generally look adorable.
Signed Items Available
A glossy colour poster of Seraph striking a pose for the camera. Underworld's skull-themed shot glass. Lorata Gorgos' goggles and sunglasses. Seraph can sign the included case. Stemma Morgen's custom jewellery. Seraph can sign the included velvet bag. Your choice of Eridia Tsifer's jewelled perfumes. Seraph can sign the bottle. A Caterpal inspired squeaky toy. They come in one of three colours: white, gold, and pink.
Civilians If you want to pick up an item, use the code below along with min 100 words of rp. Special requests are not guaranteed to be granted, so if they are not, assume you got your item from one of the booth helpers rather than the idol, and was not able to ask for the specific request.
Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name: troll name w link to journal Swag: item requested Request: special request ie 'can you write 'to so and so'', 'can we have a photo', 'can i have a hug', 'do you have this in my blood colour', 'lets fight!!!'
Competitors & Sponsors You can improve the crowd's like for you and your chances of making a big splash (ie winning) by answering requests from civilians. While competitors should be ideally taking as many requests as they can handle, sponsors can also help ease the workload by fielding care of requests that they can logically take care of (ie request for custom signing; can rp 'passing the request along'. request for a photo; 'i'm better to look at, take a photo with me instead!'). Once a competitor or sponsor has replied to a request it can be considered complete, no more posts are necessary from a game mechanics pov (though further roleplay is fine if desired).

Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name:Caiden Swag: A glossy colour poster of Seraph striking a pose for the camera. Request: Can i have a photo with you?!
Caiden was ecstatic. Autumn was becoming a star and he got to help and oh life was wonderful! The brownblood knew where Autumn's booth was, he made sure to get directions to it, and went straight for it. The boy was almost skipping he was so excited to see the winged troll. "Aut-" Caiden started but quickly slapped the hand he was using to wave with over his mouth. She wasn't Autumn here, she was Seraph. "Seraph!!" Caiden shouted, his head turning this way and that, soaking up the booth she occupied. "This looks amazing! YOU LOOK AMAZING! Wow! And this booth is all about you?!" Caiden could hardly stand still. "Aut- i mean, Seraph this is SOO COOL!"
When Seraph appeared on the screen, Malice practically gurgled on her own froth spewing from her mouth. Figuratively, of course. Underneath the stage make up and glittery facade, she knew exactly who that fluttering twit was. When it came to personal booths, she just happened to be in Chittentown and stumbled across the troll's.
Of course, Malice couldn't really do anything about it without drawing extreme attention to herself and "Seraph". What asinine moron would attack a (potential) celebrity in front of civilians. Certainly not a dignified blueblood. She could fantasize, though.
Without batting an eye, Malice silently picked up the squeaker toy of Caterpal and examined it for a moment, and then squeezed it slowly. The toy wheezed with an airy squeal. Malice squeezed again, and again, and again, progressively becoming more and more aggressive. Obnoxiously. Eventually, the squeaker died.
Malice gave Seraph a wry grin. "Does the real thing squeak as much when you squash it?"

Caiden felt an odd little shiver go down his spine. Something was coming, something bad, something he did not WANT! The brownblood's instinct was to hide, just like ChamoDad taught him, but where was he to hide?! There were no trees, no rocks, only booths and whatever decorations the sponsors supplied. Caiden's eyes fell on the baloons that decorated Autumn's booth and quickly stood behind them, using his illusion power to make more baloons to cover the rest of the tall boy. When the blueblood came around the corner Caiden almost gave himself away. He only just barely managed to stop the squeal from leaving his mouth. Drops of sweat slid down his back as he tried not to move, tried to keep his mind on maintaining the illusion.
Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name:Akkira Kagome Swag: Custom jewelry Request: 'Sign it with a special letter to Zeylla Crypsi'
"No, she's like... gly'b I don't know I've never seen her, pretty sure she has wings and... like, curly hair," Akkira said with an exasperated sigh. Finding Autumn was turning out to be more of a feat. Even with the help of ghosts, how could she describe a person she'd only ever licked once but never actually seen? Eventually though, the booth was pointed out to her and the redblood made her way over.
One of her seeing eye ghosts described the booth with Autumn and all the items there. She grinned and waved to the yellowblood. "Heeey, Seraph! long time no see," she laughed and waved to her fellow rebel,"Hey could I get some of that jewelry?," the redblood gave a broad smile.

"Remember, stay close to me at all times. Do not stray from my line of vision." Byakko had repeated these words to the mutant children dozens of times as they departed from the safe confines of Salamire Outpost. Donning the same platypusbear lusus disguise as she had adopted for the Harvest Moon Jubilee, she instructed each mutant on how to act while in their public disguise.
"Maneki, you've been seen before with me," Akko waved one large, costumed paw at her disguise. The only part of the troll left visible was her face looming in the shadows of the hide's beak. "For all intensive purposes, this is your lusus publicly. Cynril-" She pointed a claw at the white pompom she had given him. It was nothing more than a decorative ball of fluff she had ripped from a hat. "Keep that in your pocket, half visible. Do not bring attention to it, and do not take it out- it's your sleeping lusus. He gets very upset when disturbed. If anyone asks, he spits venom. Understood?" Lastly, she turned to Athera. "Your lusus is simply too large to follow you into town. She is waiting outside- pick something with wings."
Byakko readjusted herself inside the stifling confines of her lusus disguise, then clapped her hands together. The hide muffled any noise she would have made. She had come to somewhat enjoy these little outings with the mutantbloods- they got to see some of the world and enjoy themselves, not once realizing the intense training they were actually undergoing.
"Most importantly, stay in character. You are not yourself- you are your disguise. Everyone understand? Now, stick together."
Once the small group had broken into the border of Four Fronds, Byakko fell silent. She would occasionally grunt or bark at a child who skipped a little too far off, but refrained from outright speaking. It had begun.
Autumn was the reason for their departure- or rather, Seraph. Byakko had given the rebel her blessings to participate- meaning registering herself with the government. It was risky, but the youngest rebels had the most potential for infiltration. With Odette already on the Queen's radar, and Avvasi's history thoroughly aired, Byakko was banking on the fact Regina wouldn't suspect a third rebel troll hiding in plain sight. Autumn had always been one of the more promising swamp hatchlings, and her flair for the dramatic could become an incredible asset.
Byakko led her small flock to Seraph's booth, letting out a low grunt to remind them to stay near. She held back, positioned on all fours, allowing them to explore around the area as they saw fit. Ahh- Akkira was here, too. The presence of more rebels was comforting, if anything went wrong. Tilting the maw of her disguise down, Akko kept herself concealed while carefully supervising the younger mutantbloods through the platypusbear's nostrils.
She really wanted one of those photos, though.

Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name: Isthai Dawkin aka Cynril Minati! Swag: Caterpal inspired squeaky toy Request: Cynril probably wants all three squeaky toys. Gold, white and pink.
Cynril was very anxious and excited to go out of the swamp accompanied by his strange and lovely... family? At first, the whole idea of going out brought him to tears, mainly because at first he thought Byakko had been eaten by a platypusbear and second he couldn't shove a white fuzzball into his mouth. A third thing that brought him to tears that same night was the fact that said fuzzball was supposed to be his lusus and it was venomous. So he was very afraid of it and followed Byakko's instruction to a T. Half visible and he was, in no way, taking that thing out of his pocket.
He needed to relax. It was just like bloodfest right? He had another name and dressed another way. Everything would be juuust fine.
Upon arriving Autumn's booth, the child set his eyes on some squeaky toys and dragged his feet closer. He forgot about the presumably deceased pink mutantblood, (at this point he was very confused by the fact it spoke just like her back in the Fronds) he forgot about Athera and Maneki, he didn't even notice Akkira was there!
Cynril just thought of that great toy just waiting to have an owner.
"Me want it...." Cynril said softly to himself as if this was some kind of secret. They looked so good, so cute... so chewable. Blinking back to reality, as he realized he was on the verge of drooling, Cynril approached the yellowblood shyly.
"C-can I have o-one... or.... t-three....?" He whispered. Sure he had a stimnecklace with him but... he really wanted the lusus themed toy!

Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name:Athera Kyphie (call me... Avende! i have a stage name too!) Swag: A glossy colour poster of Seraph striking a pose for the camera. (so cute!!!) Request: Please sign it 'to the coolest lusus!!'
It was probably the fourth or fifth time Byakko had explained this and while Athera respected her attempt to keep them all from dying horrible deaths, she absolutely understood and didn't need to hear it again. Looking up through her large, round, red-tinted sunglasses—the only color she had on, the rest of her outfit was purposefully hemoanonymous—she smiled her best little kid smile and said, "Okay, I've got it!" Hopefully that would be that.
She wanted to see Autumn already!
When they finally made it to the booth, both arms went high, waving wildly to get Autumn's attention. No wait, Seraph, that was it. "Everything looks so good! she said, ogling the setup and accidentally bumping into Cynril in the process. Instead of backing off, she leaned over his shoulder to get a closer look.
"That poster is super cool. Can I have one? Could you sign it? How about 'to the coolest lusus' with two exclamation points exactly?" While Athera did genuinely enjoy the poster, she was really only getting it for Byakko, who'd been mumbling something about pictures to herself when she thought no one was listening.
"It's for my lusus." Obviously. "She's too big to come." Athera winked, but it wouldn't be visible behind her glasses. Her lusus was... a giant, giant frog with a flytrap for a face. And wings, but only because Byakko had said so. Yeah.

Ⅱ Seraph
At the sound of the Caiden's voice, Autumn's pump biscuit leapt with joy. As he wiggled his way through the crowd, she hopped down from her perch to greet him, fluttering right over the counter. Before he could object (not that he would have) the brownblood was subjected to an aerial hug and contaminated with glitter.
“Caiden, it's so nice to see you!” Autumn exclaimed. She released the brownblood and drifted gracefully back to the ground. As she did, she took a moment to recompose herself, tidying her hair and outfit, then leaned back against the counter. Per usual, she listened through the brownblood's ramble patiently. At his question however she could not help but break out into a grin. “I should hope so. That was the whole point after all,” Autumn replied. She gave Caiden a wink.
“Anyway, I'm assuming you want a picture with me, now that I'm famous...?” she teased. Autumn did not think she had ever seen the brownblood's lookstubs get so big before. It was as though the possibility had never occurred to him. Laughing at his incredulous expression, Autumn reaffirmed that it would be all right and waved over one of the booth staff to take the photo. A flash and a few seconds later, Caiden had a freshly printed photograph of Autumn hovering over his shoulder in his hands. Both the yellowblood and the staff member advised him to fan it for another minute in order to let it finish developing.
“... and in the meantime, I'll get that poster for you.” Hopping back over the counter, Autumn reached back into her stock of posters. She spread it across the counter, uncapped a gold marker, and began to sign in practised calligraphy. When she finished, she blew on the ink a couple times to help it dry. Satisfied at last, she offered to...
Micillia
no, it's about hawaiian punch, caiden ;P
Blue.
Autumn's fingers tightened reflexively around the marker. In the few seconds she had her back turned, Caiden had disappeared and in his place was an all too familiar blueblood. The girl held in her hands one of the Caterpal toys. Holding eye contact with Autumn, the blueblood gave the toy a slow, fierce squeeze. The only sound that came out was air. It took all of Autumn's effort not to break her smile.
“Sometimes,” she replied coolly. “He can do other things too.” Autumn paused, staring the blueblood down with a quiet but amicable air. A idea occurred to her. “If you'd like, I could get you a working one and have him sign it for you.” There was a note of mischief in her voice, a challenge too.
blackbird cake
he wud luv to sign it 4 u <3
All tension trickled away however when yet another familiar face showed up at her booth. Shaking her head, Autumn covered her face with her palm at the bad joke. Akkira could be so... so... well, Autumn lacked the words to describe her properly, but she sure was something. Nevertheless she was a welcome visitor, especially with the blueblood still present. While she may have been blind, Autumn had seen her fight when she was younger and had no doubt the redblood could handle herself.
“Nice to see you too!” she said. If not surprising. Given Akkira's showmanship and bold personality she would have expected the redblood to jump at the chance to be a star. Perhaps something had changed though. Since the redblood had left the swamp, Autumn had lost almost all contact with her. She no longer had any insight as to her motivations. Akkira's departure from the swamp had been one of many mystifying changes. Autumn supposed she just needed to do some soul searching.
“You look great by the way! So, am I writing anything special~?” she asked, retrieving one of the jewellery bags. She gave the redblood a knowing wink, before remembering that the blind girl could not see it.

only ever licked once
As Autumn busied herself with Akkira's request, trolls continued to gather around the booth, chatting and laughing. She had garnered a real crowd. They were coming out of the woodwork—the swamp woodwork specifically, the yellowblood corrected herself after glancing up. She saw not one, not two, but three mutant children from Salamire hovering around her booth. And with them was... was... Autumn's pump biscuit felt as though it might burst with joy. She would recognise that hideous, lumpy lusus disguise anywhere.
“Of course!” Autumn replied with almost too much enthusiasm to Cynril's request. She was still totally enamoured by the fact that Byakko would come to see and support her. A beat later, she remembered herself. She turned her attention to the silverblood and leaned in. In a mock whisper she said, “I mean, I shouldn't, but it can be our little secret, okay?” she winked before straightening to address Athera.
“That's too bad,” Autumn said. “I really like meeting fans.” She unfurled another poster over the counter and signed her name as well as the requested note in neat script. As she passed it to the young mutantblood, she said “Be sure to tell her, I'm grateful for her support~!”

Oooh! Please! I want one of those! Name:Tevini Euruft Swag: Your choice of Eridia Tsifer's jewelled perfumes. Seraph can sign the bottle. Request: give me a whole box/crate of these perfumes
Finally back in her home town, Tevini made short work of heading to the Meet and Greets. She'd noted which contestants the Underworld was sponsoring and sought them out. Approaching Seraph's booth, she raised an eyebrow at the collection of trolls and was surprised at the booth's popularity. Not because the contestant was bad, in fact she was rather glamorous, it was just unexpected to see so many trolls participating all the way out here in Chittentown.
"I'll take some of those perfumes. I'd love a whole set, if possible." Tevini requested, realizing she should put something on to cover up the fact that she hadn't bathed in a few days. Going homeless with Etsali had left her a little lacking in access to all of the facilities she was used to at home. Sure they'd find a shower or bath soon, it just wasn't always available.
As she eyed the bottles, another use came to mind and Tevini attempted to take as many as the contestant would let her.

Carrying a dancing bird from one of the other booths and still a little baffled by it, Garand found himself at the next destination on his lusus' list. He was absolutely going to love this one, Pan had said. She was the most glamorous, he'd insisted. The blueblood, mostly, was just as baffled by the fact that Seraph had wings apparently, but he guessed now that he saw her booth that she was sort of glamorous. Everything here seemed to shine.
She was also, apparently, very popular. He glanced around at the others lining up for souvenirs and to speak with Seraph, and hesitated in place a moment, to wait for a better chance to move forward. Pan shifted from one shoulder to another, then readied himself and made another flying leap towards the booth counter. Garand reached out to catch him by the tail before he got that far, having known to expect it this time.
Pan's squeaks were enough to be heard even over the Superstar Authority music, and though the volume stopped, that squeaking continued after Garand dropped him. A space had opened up, so he moved forward, ignoring the continued lecture going on as Pan climbed back up to a shoulder. Glancing over the choices and deciding to pick something for himself this time before the mouse got carried away, he reached for a pair of goggles.
"We'll take these, please. Do you think these will work alright during sandstorms?"

Positioned on all fours inside her sweltering disguise, Byakko remained completely silent, ever vigilant. Another rebel- Tevini- showed up. Comforting. As expected, Cynril went for the toys. No doubt to join his small, adorable army.
Athera had been a bit of a wild card- she hadn't been outside the swamp prior to this night. Byakko had suspected that she'd simply hang back and observe, perhaps converse lightly with other rebels she already knew. What she hadn't expected, though, was the young mutantblood's level of perceptiveness. She blinked in mild shock under the shadows of the platypusbear's beak; grateful for the cover as she felt the warm burn of blush grace her cheeks over the girl's conversation.
Visibly, the platypusbear sat there, tilting it's head every now and again to look around.

"I'll absolutely tell her, Athera promised, knowing all too well that Byakko had probably heard them just fine from her post at the edge of the booth. "She's gonna love it."
Now that Athera had a moment to examine the poster up close, she decided it was even better than she'd originally thought. With tiny but practiced and careful hands, she rolled it into a tube (picture side in, of course) to protect keep it protected. Once they were back in the swamp, her Mamakko could do whatever she wanted with it. Hang it in her private chambers, maybe? Athera didn't doubt it.
"Thanks!! I'll get out of your way." There were other trolls vying for positions at the booth, after all, and while she had no issue in the middle of crowds, she wanted to give everyone their turn. Sharing was caring as long as she'd already gotten what she wanted.
Taking a few hop-steps back, she wandered towards Akko.

"Hmm, yeah, think you could write something like - It takes two to hate, and draw a spade or something?" This wasn't to risqué of a request was it? Hopefully not, she needed this for... a certain hemoanon blueblood. "Hey, how long to you plan on being in town?" Honestly, she wanted to get back in touch with her swamp friends. She could hear the voices of some of the other kids she'd known in the swamp, so it was definitely a rebel gathering almost. "If you aren't doing anything, lets grab a bite to eat or something, what do you say?"
“Of course~!” Marker gliding effortlessly across the fabric, Autumn penned the note in small, clean letters. When she finished, she drew a swirly spade underneath. Fanning the bag in the air to help the ink to dry, she resumed her conversation with her redblooded guest. “I'll be here for the duration of the event of course, and maybe a little longer. I'll most likely be busy though. Stardom doesn't allow for much free time.”
Turning down her old friend felt a little cold, but that was the nature of show business. If she truly planned to climb the social ladder as far as her blood would allow her, she had to associate with those higher than her. And she definitely could not familiarise herself with other initiative members. At least not publicly.
“Still, it was nice meeting you! Vote for me, all right?” She winked and hoped the playfulness carried into her voice. Clasping the redblood's hand between her own, she tapped a message into her palm:
Yes.
saihen
Autumn hardly recognised the troll before her. She rarely saw much of Tevini to begin with (the redblood seemed to be a bit of a recluse) and her current transformation made her... well... It took all the yellowblood's willpower not to wrinkle her sniffnode. “Please, help yourself,” she said, sliding a box over the counter. “Consider it a friendly favour.” She threw the older girl a wink.

The line had been moving steadily when a young blueblood with his shrill, squeaking lusus approached. Autumn's face lit up at the sight of the rodent. As the boy browsed her sponsors' merchandise, she admired the lusus on his shoulder and its long, fluffy tail. Sometimes she wished Caterpal was a little more cuddly.
“They're meant for diving, so they can definitely keep out sand,” she replied when the blueblood presented a pair of goggles to her. “They'll look pretty good on you too, I think~.” With a mischievous smile, she took the goggles from him, and pulled them down over his forehead.
“Your lusus is adorable~!” she cooed, returning her attention to the eagerly squeaking mouse.
