PERSONALITY:
Malice Ragoon has been "raised" to be a vicious, horrible little troll always searching for a way to best herself and become stronger. Strength, power, and control over others are the three most important focal points in her life.
First impressions can be difficult. Initially, she may be forbidding and nonchalant, albeit stiff. Accurate. Screaming, with a contemptuous scowl and excessive knuckle cracking? Also accurate. Her gait is lofty and proud, chin tilted high with an assertive demeanor. Looking down at those smaller than her from the end of her nose and cocking her head back to those taller, Malice goes out of her way to proclaim herself as the dominant personality (or at least having herself convinced she is).
Malice is triggered by many things, but trickery and scheming against her hits a little too close to home, the root of it all being her relationship with her tricky lusus. Any kind of deceptive behavior, even if intended as a joke, will result in an anger so deep, it transcends appropriate responses and straight to blood boiling rage. She values honesty and loyalty, however will be highly suspicious of acquaintances or trolls she is unsure about. As a defense mechanism, she easily becomes paranoid and obsessed about their true intentions, which are almost always presumed to be negative. It takes quite some time to gain her trust and approval.
With a penchant for fighting, Malice is extremely rough around the edges. While she doesn't avidly go seeking for conflict, provoking her is simple and she would enjoy nothing more than to rock and roll at any time. She also enjoys watching others brawl and supports any kind of warmongering acts. Bossy and brutal, she willingly lashes out at others and is as cutthroat and merciless as can be just to be on top and have the upper-hand. Benevolence has never come easy to her and neither has clemency. She has difficulty with considering and understanding feelings. Addressing interpersonal matters baffles her. As a very forthright troll herself, she expects others to be the same. One has to be direct with their personal emotions, otherwise they will go unnoticed or deliberately ignored as she does not have the patience to deal with "feelings". Any inconspicuous advances or behavior will go right over her head.
While her attitude is repugnant, Malice is exceedingly lonely and feels envious of others who have loving, successful relationships. Spending much of her time alone, she keeps all trolls she meets at a distance emotionally and rarely displays positive feelings, unless she finds an equal to challenge her. Often times she has no idea how to treat another troll without sneering or becoming frustrated. Most relationships she actually attempts to form tend to ultimately become forcing her dominance over the other and enforcing a strict, mutual understanding of this. She must let others know their place at all times, including reminding them of her own. This concept of 'friendship' is merely an allegiance, and shouldn't be mistaken as anything but. All trolls are referred to by their blood color or last name only.
With the hemospectrum, Malice takes great pride and delight in her high stature. Taking advantage of the color of her blood, she often will enforce the authority it commands with very little thought. Seadwellers and landdwelling purplebloods are given the appropriate respect, though with reluctance. She has high expectations for her fellow highbloods, believing they, too, should apply the supremacy they were hatched into. Lowbloods are filthy, disposable cretin. There's just so many of them. Like cockroaches, scurrying about. She would suppose they come in hand for convenient, mundane tasks to keep the world spinning and doesn't completely despise them individually. As long as a troll is useful, she can appreciate them in her own ignorant way. Hoping to have some sort of leadership position one day, Malice does begrudgingly feel like she has some sort of responsibility to protect those in need of it, as long as she benefits.
Surprisingly, Malice does have the ability to smile and possesses a sense of humor, although sardonic and a bit cruel. She taunts and pokes fun at others for amusement, but if she becomes less tense, it can shift into childish banter. After all, she is still a child by both body and mind, attracted to most things whimsical and fun. Even with the responsibilities she faces, Malice yearns for new experiences and to fully enjoy things.
Most of Malice's hobbies are simply exploring the mountainside and neighboring forest, exercising, and challenging herself nightly. She is stronger than the average child (though not unusual for most Busthind residents) and will frequently rock climb and dabble into activities involving parkour and strengthening herself.
Contrary to her outward demeanor, Malice loves luxury. If she travels anywhere outside of Busthind, she will always come back with some kind of lavish good to treat herself with. She is sensitive to smells and enjoys light and feminine aromas. Candles, lotions, potpourri, soaps, etc. She loves long, warm bubble baths that allow her to unwind and blank out, easing her anger. |

STRENGTHS:
Valiant
One thing Malice is not is a coward. Ready with an iron will, once she has an idea of what she is up against she is fearlessly facing down whatever threatens or comes her way. Loyal to the empire, she will go through the ends of Alternia for the cause and will uphold imperial standards. Above all, she wants to be respected and seen as a heroic, leading figure, even if she has to inflict others with fear to achieve that.
Ambitious
Believing herself to be destined for great things, Malice is entirely self-assured. Her confidence radiates in the way she walks, talks, and thinks. To be on top is her ultimate goal, whether career-wise or social. Once she has her think pan set on something, absolutely nothing will deter her determination. Relentless and persistent, she is constantly creating goals for herself to achieve and strives to push herself farther and farther until she reaches her end desire.
Shrewd
Quick and alert, Malice is clever and constantly on her toes; she keeps an eye out for whatever is around her. Though the flickering of her eyes over every single detail and quick glances over her shoulder denote signs of paranoia, she is simply being observant and ready to jump on the fly. Her mind is constantly evolving. Even with all the courage she has, she does not blindly go headfirst without thinking beforehand. Malice is highly perceptive and adept at reading situations, however she processes things in a careful and vigilant manner before making a move. Any action she takes is done with purpose, accompanied by multiple back up plans to ensure success. Failure is not an option.
FLAWS:
Irate
One of Malice's biggest flaws is how easily she succumbs to her feelings of anger. While it's pretty much effortless for her to scream, lash out, and attack whenever something trivial antagonizes her, Malice will appear cold and eerily indifferent when something seriously provokes her. One false move from anyone at this time and she flies off the handle with violent tendencies. From her spiteful lusus to her inability to allow herself to connect with others, Malice becomes frustrated and harbors a lot of pent up rage that manifests in excessive hate and destructive behavior.
Unforgiving
Cross her once, and you're in for a lot of pain and misery. Forgiveness is not Malice's forte and she will often go out of her way to get back at someone, coming at them with equal if not twice the amount of vengeance. Her iron fists crack down hard on those that she feels deserves to be punished or put in their place without mercy. Anyone whom she feels has betrayed her or the empire can be tossed away immediately, forever condemned. Treason is seen as one of the worst crimes one can commit in her eyes.
Possessive
As a nod to her lusus' habits, Malice is aggressively possessive of her things and self, as well as trolls she may or may not feel like she has ownership over. She needs to have control over every aspect of her life, including the lives of those around her, as she has none when she's at hive. Restrict her of her freedom and she'll find a way to break free whether figuratively or literally. Jealousy comes easily when she's put in the position of having to share something with someone else, thing or troll. While she doesn't avidly steal things, if she finds something she likes, she will pocket it without bothering to ask or demand it be given to her.

HOME: Busthind Mountain. In a peculiar hive clinging to the side of a cliff, her home appears medium in size from outward appearances, but inside it is expansive with a huge network of tunnels. The only way to get to the "front" entrance is to hike up an almost ridiculous amount of steps. Even if one reaches, no one will answer. A little ways away, there is a giant mouth of a cavern that leads inward into the mountain, growing darker and colder until there is a large, long hall filled with the collection of Malice's lusus' treasures. This is also where he slumbers. Around the cavern are several stony hallways filled with overgrowth, all which lead outward into the mountainside or to Malice's hive.
LUSUS: Dragondad is a very large, very territorial and menacing reptilian beast with leathery wings and enough strength to take down multiple lusi at once. His scales, horns (which are identical to his child's), talons, and everything else is the classic lusus white. A snarl or a smirk is the expression range of Dragondad, as he is as cold-blooded and mean as it comes, even towards his own kid. He has an extreme thirst for treasure, gold, gems, and anything worth of value. A true avarice, he will steal for his collection of treasure deep within the caverns of their massive hive on the mountainside, sleeping all day and night long without little care or need for anything other than food and the frequent torment of his charge, whom he bombards with riddles and traps to keep her alert.
The relationship between Malice and her lusus is unhealthy and aggressive. While he may say one thing, he tends to be fickle with his words and change his mind on a whim. Even when he knows he is contradicting, he becomes extremely high strung when questioned. He enforces the belief that she is better than others and should be proud of her blood, however he also vigorously pushes her to be successful and strengthen herself by challenging with taunting and belittling. In a way, he has a sense of protectiveness for her that manifests in controlling behavior and a potent possessiveness. He will become possessive and demanding if Malice brings over trolls, even going as far as to scare them away or threatening to harm them. As a result, Malice does not invite company over and spends as little time around her hive as possible. He still lingers around to keep a watchful eye over her to shine light of all her mistakes, much to her dismay. There is very little affection between the two; she respects him as an authoritative figure and will seek guidance and reassurance, but remains agitated by her lusus' inability to show her his approval.
