NOVEMBER 18, 2015 :
Dani receives a fel essence and an empty soul bottle from Lab 305. She has been approved to be a guardian!
MAY 18, 2017 :
After much soul searching, Dani decides that she cannot bring harm to a living creature to satisfy the requirements of the soul capture. She goes in search of something already dead, and is very nearly preyed upon by a Strzyga, though she does not know the name of it at the time. After a brief conversation, the spirit agrees to renew its life with her, and her soul glass is filled.
JUNE 8, 2017 :
After getting her affairs in order, Dani sends the filled soul glass and fel essence back to the Lab. Now she just has to wait for her Raevan to be born!

♢ PERSONALITY ♢
Mischievous and cunning, Magda’s first priority is always to have a good time, and she’s not overly concerned with breaking a few rules to do so. Casual destruction is her favorite pastime, though she prefers to be subtle rather than obvious; she particularly enjoys watching people react to the messes she's made, and doesn't necessarily need to take credit. Sometimes, she likes to break things just for the sole purpose of ruining them -- it's often mistaken as her acting out or being unhappy, but in truth, she just likes small-scale destruction.
She’s inherently wary of strangers and so tends to try to creep them out to test them, but if you can look past her initial defensive attitude, she’ll become a very loving individual. Calm and protective, she takes very good care of the few people she takes under her wing, and becomes quite defensive of the few she trusts. This doesn't make them exempt from the pranks she pulls, though, and she'll still often lie and misrepresent her abilities to cause trouble because she thinks it's funny.
Magda is introverted, which doesn't mean that she's shy, only that she's a little more private with her thoughts and true feelings, and after extended interaction with more than one or two people, she needs alone time to recharge. She can be insensitive and sarcastic when she isn't given this time to herself, and rarely apologizes for it, as she's very stubborn and proud.

Likes: Warm/soft/big clothing, warm colors, big cities, puzzle games (like candy crush, because she gets to blow things up), board games, science fiction, horror, playing pranks, true crime audiobooks.
Dislikes: Being the center of attention in a large group, The Great Outdoors, structured and orderly activities (such as paint by numbers exercises, coloring books where she's expected to stay in the lines, etc)
Hobbies: Designing and pulling off elaborate pranks, making crushed glass art, cooking (not that she can eat any of it, but she likes chopping things up, shredding lettuce, crushing crackers for breading, etc etc. if she can get her hands in it and break something down into pieces, she's pleased.)
Sustenance: Magda feeds by pulling the iron out of things, typically through touch. A side effect of this is that she tends to rust iron objects, but if she were to, say, feed from iron supplement pills, she would simply render them inert. There's not enough concentrated iron in a person's blood for Magda to effectively feed from it, and so no human is in danger of her making them anemic.

♢ ABILITIES ♢
[ Active ] Oxidation: Magda is able to speed up the process of iron oxidation and cause susceptible materials to rust much faster than they would when left under normal conditions. She has to make physical contact with something to rust it, and the longer she holds on, the more the iron will degrade, replaced with the higher-volume rust. She can cause quite a bit of structural damage if left unsupervised. As she grows, this ability will extend to a wider variety of materials, but when she is a Frei, she will only be able to rust items with iron content.
[ Active ] Rust Cloud: Magda is able to produce a thin layer of rust over her own skin and flake it off, creating a small cloud of rust around her temporarily -- which is a great cover if she feels threatened and wants to get away in a hurry. It settles after a few minutes, just be careful not to breathe it in or get it in your eyes. Her skin is pleasantly softer to the touch after shedding a layer of rust.
[ Passive ] Death Omen: Upon skin-to-skin contact, sometimes Magda's third eye will take over her vision, blanking the lower two out to pure white as it focuses on the person she's touched. She can't actually see the future or foretell any specifics, but if her third eye is activated on someone, it means that death will be coming soon. That can mean to an actual family member, a pet, a plant -- anything important to the person that could die. (Will always require player consent to activate.)
[ Active ] Shifting Teeth: Not only does Magda possess two sets of teeth, though one is generally tucked back and hidden away, she is able to switch between the sets at will. Her normal smile, while quite pointy, has nothing on the second set of teeth, all much sharper and stronger, and mainly used for self-defense. In addition to shifting at will, when Magda brings her second set of teeth forward, she is able to make them grow and root more firmly in her jaw, providing her with a much more devastating bite -- and grip.

MISTED RUST
Mist is a thin sheet of water vapor condensed into droplets, colorless and odorless. This mist, however, shimmers with reds, oranges, golds, and browns, which is creepy enough on its own, but upon examination, it's discovered to actually be a fine cloud of rust hovering over a dried out lake bed. There’s no iron present – or water for that matter – and yet the mist doesn't seem to be going anywhere. The former lake must have rusted in the storm, and this is all that's left of it.

STRZYGA
A strzyga (Polish pronunciation: [ˈstʂɨɡa]) is a female demon somewhat similar to vampire in Slavic (and especially Polish) folklore. People who were born with two hearts and two souls and two sets of teeth (the second one barely visible) were believed to be strzygas. Furthermore a newborn child with already developed teeth was also believed to be one. When a person was identified as a strzyga he was chased away from human dwelling places. Such strzygas usually died at a young age, but, according to belief, only one of their two souls would pass to the afterlife; the other soul was believed to cause the deceased strzyga to come back to life and prey upon other living beings. These undead strzyga were believed to fly at night in a form of an owl and attack night-time travelers and people who had wandered off into the woods at night, sucking out their blood and eating their insides. Strzyga were also believed to be satisfied with animal blood, for a short period of time.
When a person believed to be a strzyga died, decapitating the corpse and burying the head separate from the rest of the body was believed to prevent the strzyga from rising from the dead; burying the body face down with a sickle around its head was believed to work as well.
According to the other sources strzygas were believed not to harm people but to herald someone's imminent death. In this they resemble Banshees. - Wikipedia

She favors bright colors and stylish outfits, and her look always spans head to toe, complete with accessories. ◇ PERSONALITY ◇
Above all, Dani is a fiercely enthusiastic, ambitious person. She believes in throwing herself into anything that she does 100%, which makes her an excellent nurse and caretaker for her mother, but does sometimes lead to her being overbearing and pushy when it comes to her friends' personal lives. She can sometimes burn herself out if she takes on too many projects at once, and she has a difficult time turning away people in need, especially her friends. If she can help, Dani feels like she has an obligation to help.
It's difficult for her to admit when she's wrong, and she rarely apologizes; she tries to be careful to make decisions in a way that she won't have to apologize, but on the rare occasion she realizes she's been wrong, they're always very heartfelt.
She is a motivated, positive person, believing that you have to grab life by the horns and make what you want out of it, rather than sit back and passively expect things to fall into place. Hard-working and confident, she always sets goals for herself and strives to reach them, and does her best to inspire the people around her to do the same. She is very team-oriented and has a no man left behind mentality for all the work that she does, preferring to ensure success by pooling the resources of the best and brightest rather than trying to do everything on her own.

◇ HISTORY ◇
Written History: Nothing has ever been handed to Dani her entire life, and that's exactly the way she likes it. She was taught the value of hard work and personal determination from an early age, watching both of her parents clock in long hours as a mechanic and a janitor, proud of them both, no matter how un-glamorous their jobs might be. Her parents were determined to give her a better start than they had, and encouraged her to work hard in school so that she could go to college on scholarships and have as many opportunities and options as she could get her hands on.
Dani threw herself into academics and sports both, involved herself in clubs and student council, and took AP classes for college credit when she was in high school. She graduated valedictorian and immediately enrolled in college, pursuing nursing out of a desire to make a difference and because she knew she could live comfortably on the salary and give back to her parents sooner rather than later.
She didn't make time for dating until after she'd graduated, but her relationships didn't tend to last long, especially once her father had a heart attack and she split her focus between her career and caring for her family. He passed when she was twenty-three, and it was then that she met Tristan, whom she married only a handful of months later.
Their marriage was rocky from the start, perhaps because she'd been in such a vulnerable place when they began dating, though Dani tried her best for several years -- and through several stints of marriage counseling -- to make it work. They just recently finalized the divorce and she is moving back home to spend time with her mother and make a fresh start.
◇ FAMILY ◇
Romero, Ricardo (Ricky): Father, deceased. Was a mechanic, and Dani was close to him when she was young. He always encouraged his daughter to play sports and learn how to work as part of a team, knowing the value of cooperation in the work force as well as the fact that she would do much better in the world with friends.
Romero, Camila: Mother. Janitor for the local school district, though it's an on-call position and, as she gets older, her joints are giving her difficulty and she's having a hard time working as much. She prefers to speak Spanish to English, and is very proud of her daughter -- both for her accomplishments and for the fact that she grew up to be someone who puts so much value in family and looking after one another.
Graves, Tristan: Ex-husband (divorced early 2015). A college professor and several years older than Dani, their marriage was tumultuous though not always bad; both of them with strong personalities and sometimes strong tempers, they often fought much longer than they should have, and it put an enormous strain on their marriage. They tried marriage counseling for a year and a half toward the end, and though they weren't able to salvage their marriage, it did bring them to a place where they could part amicably. Dani does not currently keep in touch with him.
