Where: Yves' house
When: Early evening
Weather: A bit chilly

"Magda, come on. Wake up."
Throwing the car into park, Dani turned and cast an exasperated look at the girl in the back seat. Magda had managed to twist her sweater up over her head and curl into a ball, her apparent concession to the idea of getting up, getting dressed, and meeting Yves and Yuri. With the sun going down, she'd at least be getting active and more alert soon enough, which was the most Dani could ask for.
A surly head popped out of the sweater, blinking blearily.
Dani slung her purse over her shoulder and picked up the covered tray with dinner, rapping on the window with her free hand until Magda groaned and got out of the car too.
"'s early," Magda slurred, bobbing beside her as they headed up to the front door.
With a laugh, Dani shook her head. "Late for most people, Magda. Do you want to knock?"
Slumping against her side, Magda tossed a baleful look up at Dani, all three eyes half-lidded.
"Fine." She knocked three times, calling out, "Yves, we're here. You're going to like Yuri," Dani added, looking down at her daughter, whose mouth was set in a pout. "He's a Raevan, too."
"You said," Magda replied, rolling her eyes. "You don't like all humans, so I don't see why that matters."
Dani breathed in, breathed out, and fixed a smile on her face. "You're right. I hope you'll like each other, and find out you have things in common. Oh, that's Peanut," she said, scowling, as high-pitched dog barks sounded from inside the house.
