Rules • Characters do not have to be lapsang or even soquili! They could have been picked up from a variety of places. The most common soquili are from the Badieh Badawie (desert), The Clearspring Area (Ulun'suti/Hippogryphs without any specific herd affiliation or culture), or Lapsangs. They can be mixed. Familiars often come from the Dreamwalk village, but any free floating familiar works! • Characters cannot be evil (though they may PLAY Evil characters in shows) • We'd prefer you quest members who wish to stay with the faire to be quested here rather than just having the faire as a backstory. HOWEVER this does not mean they are limited to RP or plotting with faire members: they are of course more than welcome to venture out from it and have their own adventures, especially during 'down' years or when out scouting for new locations or keeping alliances with previous host herds, and if your characters story leads them away rather than their story causing someone else to join, its perfectly fine!
Personality of Soquili: As she was first inspired by a poem/folk song that is in regards to travel, Elentari has a wandering spirit. As such, the traveling nature of the Reenactment Faire Herd is deal. Her literal idea of paradise. Quick to befriend strangers and smile, she has a joyous heart and delights in singing or dancing whenever the herd calls for it. So long as she is not busy working as an artisan, she is happy to be recruited into whichever of the lighter events the herd desires her aid with. Graceful in the air or on land, she is also a pleasant singer. The candle and lantern maker is a polite mare, mischievous and easy going. Often confused for a relative of Yilmaz, she is happy to play the slightly-downhearted-yet-deprecating party to his over-reactive thunderous "anger". It is all in good fun and the misunderstanding quickly corrected, but she takes great amusement in the betting pool that is running behind the scenes because of it all. (They used to date, and now they're considered siblings, and some days it's weird but mostly just hysterical.)
Backstory: Elentari is from a proud line of Lapsang Souchong Soquili that long ago bred to Gryph-type Soquili and reveled in the advantage that clever claws gained them as artists. This line is said to hail all the way back to the Lapsang/Souchong civil war. (While it can be said that her many-timed-removed relatives participated or even fought on behalf of one of the warring Kings, this is never confirmed and she will not speak of it.) Regardless, she has grown up in the herd and while she traveled for a time to obtain some new craft methods, to the traveling life of the herd she always returns. Though her dark pelt causes her trouble and means she needs extra scarves, she is particularly thrilled to take brief trips into the desert and explore among the Badieh Badawie when the opportunity arises. This is likely done between the travel circuits of the Faire itself. Starting out as a candle and lantern maker for the sake of the herd (use in shows, special effects, night time travel, festival of lights, back stage, etc), El at first worked to meet the demands of her traveling companions. Shortly after she realized the opportunity for a larger market, and began selling her wares to those they interacted with as well. She's happy to craft and sell lanterns, candles or a mix of both to those that wish to offer them at alters or use them in travel or work. She is certainly spiritual and believes in lighting a candle for the memory of a loved one or as a wish to a higher power. Light and dark have some very obvious symbolism with good and evil, and as she is darkly coated with bright eyes it just seems natural to bring light with her (so to speak).

Physical description:((Mutant Lapsang Unicorn with Handwings)) A relatively compact mare as dark as the night sky, Elentari has a swirling mane and tail of night scattered with stars. A "typical Lapsang Unicorn" her horn is generally longer than non-Lapsangs, a dark spiral. Her eyes glow brightly, keen against her otherwise dark face, and her clawed feet are clever when she is crafting. She has shifting wings of night like smoke, tipped with grasping claws that also enable her to work metal and wax to her will. (Optional: She may also wear thin chains strung with glowing jewels that emulate her own star-scattered appearance.) She is often accompanied by a cluster of candles and at least of one of her lovely hand-wrought lanterns. When traveling in the desert she is draped in flowing white scarves to help keep her cooler.
