Hello, and welcome to Kanto's Haunted House! It is located in Lavender Town near the Pokemon Tower.
Here you can trick or treat for items, battle spirits to help them move on to the after life, and peruse the attractions! For more detailed information, please check out the Announcement Page~!
The Haunted House has three floors and a basement. Upon entering the haunted houses, trainers can decide if they'd like to take on one of two available challenges to battle pokemon and gain prizes. The two options are Normal: The pokemon will start at level 15, and increase by 5 as you progress through them. So the first one will be level 15, the next 20, the next 25, and so on. This must be done consecutively, however, you will be allowed to heal your pokemon after the first 5. You may use healing items, however, you are only allowed three regular potions. This challenge may be done once a week.
Mirror Mode: The pokemon's level will match the first pokemon set out against them. Their HP will also be the same, and the exp gained from them will be whatever their mirrored level falls under. For instance, if the pokemon sent out is level 14, the pokemon will be level 14, and, if defeated, will yield 10 exp. You do not have to battle them consecutively, however, you may only battle all eight once a week. You also may not switch pokemon, and if your pokemon faints, you've lost, so choose carefully, and make sure to strategize! To help for those that have lower level pokemon and more limited movesets, we've added in that you will be guaranteed the first move for each battle.
You may only challenge one of these to earn prizes once a week, however, if you like, you may try the other as well, for the exp, but no further prizes will be gained.

Worry Seed will fail if used against pokemon with the abilities Multitype, Stance Change, or Traunt. Turn#2 - Trick: Swaps held Items with target Evens - Energy Ball: 90, 1/2 chance of lowering targets special defense one stage Odds - Sludge Bomb: 90, 7/10 Chance to Poison

The house is filled with various jump scares, games, and small attractions. An area has been cleared out in the back where pumpkin patches and towering trees have been planted. Characters may also enter the Pokemon Tower from here.
Similarly, whenever you arrive you may Trick-Or-Treat. This may be done once a week, total, and can be done by arriving and rolling a 10-sided die. The corresponding number below is the prize you get!

In a sudden flash, Ko emerged in a dark room, filled only with the light of a small singular candle. Rubbing her lower back, she'd arrived mid-air, falling to her rump. What a sore welcoming. "They could have made that a bit safer." She muttered. Looking up she caught sight of her team. The blonde didn't even have time to look for Ohm before a voice echoed through the house. Standing, she glanced around, trying to find the source of the voice. It was eerie, but that was likely intentional.... it wasn't like this was an actual Haunted house right? The voice spoke of two separate challenges, one for more advanced trainers, and another for beginning trainers. While Ko was in no way a beginner, she thought the second challenge sounded easier for Fone at least. The mansion was filled with Ghost-types, which meant this had been a good idea... a perfect opportunity. Looking around she found Fone currently inching his way towards the candle in the room, it's flame grew and flickered when Fone grew close. "Fone, that's!" A pair of eyes appeared on the candle, and a smile formed over the waxy surface. Fone leaped back, startled by the candle-like creature. "A Litwick. Fone, use Phantom Force!"
'What challenge do you wish to partake in?' The voice asked, a bit more forceful. So she had to state out loud? Well it did explain the Pokemon would adjust according to the challenge. "Mirror." Ko replied. 'Then let the battle commence, you have one week.' A week? That seemed excessive... just how long was this challenge going to be?

With the Litwick gone, the lights dimmed and darkness over cast the room. "Oh great... and I don't have a flashlight." Ko stated, looking around for any source of light she could use. Viska obliged by summoning a smaller version of Moonblast. She could maintain the attack with psychic. "Thanks, Viska." Ko replied. Finding Fone at her feet, the blonde gently patted Fone's back. "This challenge shouldn't take a week. Not with you powering through these ghosts." Ko chuckled. Glancing up she took a look around the room, but before she could get anywhere, the floor creaked below her, and suddenly a trap door opened, sending the blonde swirling down a slide into a Pool room. She skidded onto the tile floor, feeling her shorts soak up water that'd splashed up onto the tiles. For a second time today she was on her rear. "Yeouch..." She grumbled, rubbing her lower back once more. "That was so not cool!" Standing up, she turned to watch as Viska, Kezia and Mila all slid down the slide, Fone following shortly after. "At least you four expected the ride." She stated in a huff. Kezia grinned, joining up with Ko. 'You know... this place seemed familiar.' Kezia spoke up. 'Yes, I agree... I feel we've been here before.' Mila pipped in. Viska remained silent.... did she not agree? Well, Ko did.. she'd felt it almost as soon as they'd arrived... something about the atmosphere made her sick to her stomach... like something horrid had happened right in front of her. However they're pondering was put to a halt when a creepy shrill echoed around the pool. Turning towards the pool, Ko stood face to face with a giant jellyfish. "Jellicent!" The blonde shouted, stumbling back, this time caught by Mila who stood directly behind her. "Fone, Phantom Force!" Fone didn't hesitate, slipping into the tile floor, engulfed by his own shadow.

With the Jellicent gone, Fone playfully froze the water to play on while Ko gathered herself. She was soaked now. Not only were her shorts drenched, her tights and dress shirt had gotten damp. "I think I woke on the wrong side of the bed or something." Ko mentioned. It certainly didn't start out like the best day of her life. 'Hey, chance into this.' Looking up Mila had come across a neatly laid out outfit. That seemed a bit to convenient. Approaching the outfit, nothing seemed off. Hesitantly reaching forward, the blonde lifted up what appeared to be a skirt. The rest of the outfit seemed a tad pulled together.. honestly it looked more like a costume than anything. 'Well, it is Halloween isn't it? Don't you humans dress up this time of the year?' Kezia inquired, folding her arms with a mild look of curiousity in her eyes. 'It's not like you have any other choice. You'll catch a cold with your weak immune system.' Ko arched a brow. "What do you know about immune systems?" She asked. "But you're right. I should change." Glancing around, she hopped no men appeared suddenly while she was changing. Of course she sort of expected Ohm to pop up out of nowhere just as she was.
Seemingly, no one had seen her change. Dawned in her new outfit, she glanced at herself in the reflection of the water. "I look like some sort of priestess..." Ko stated. 'The blonde doesn't fit, how about this?' Kezia didn't even move as she cast an illusion over Ko, fixing her blonde hair into a light chestnut brown. It didn't look bad, and Ko didn't appear to mind it much. "I guess it'll do." She replied. Doing a quick twirl the blonde, now brunette noticed a door swing open. "I guess we need to move on?" She asked rhetorically, stepping around the pool towards the door that had opened. Fone leaped from his ice rink and joined at Ko's side, happily chugging along as they made their way to the next room.
This room was filled with all sorts of "Spooky" decorations. From fake mummies to spider webs and stuffed Spinarak. It was childishly scary, as in it didn't scare Ko in the least. Crossing to an old sarcophagus, she leaned forward, finding the coffin looks rather real. Which it was. Suddenly it sprang to life, four arms filtering out from the cracks on it's side. A face that resembled a pharaoh appeared. Ko stumbled back, though managed to keep her stance. The ghost grinned to itself, seemingly waiting. "Oh, right, Fone you know what to do!" Ko called, motioning forward.
Meanwhile, hidden behind the Cofagrigus, a display of fake bloodied weapons rested along the wall, a staff stood out to Kezia, so the fox quickly grabbed it, finding it would likely match Ko's new... outfit.

The Cofagrigus fell back into it's place, fainted at last. Ko nodded confidently, happy to see Fone had won another battle. Kezia leaped over the fainted coffin joining Ko with the stave in hand. 'Here, I think this goes with your costume.' Kezia stated with a grin. Ko took the rod in hand, looking it over. It was certainly pretty. Lowering it down towards the ground, she glanced around the room some more. "This looks like a front lobby now that I really get a look at it." In the far corner of the room a staircase headed up, while a staircase headed down. It was an odd layout for a house, given she noticed there no front door... that or it was really well hidden. Was everyone teleported in?
From the staircase a cool breeze cascaded down, giving Ko a chill. Fone perked up, mewing into the air. A Froslass had appeared at the top of the stairwell. Well of course that was where the cool breeze was coming from. "Fone I know you like that coldness, but she's our foe, use Phantom Force!" Fone nodded, darting forward. He dove into the shadows and quickly appeared behind the Froslass attacking her. She cried out in pain, but in turn her Hailstorm began. It was odd seeing hail falling from clouds at the top of the ceiling. Ko held up the stave, using it as a sort of shield for her head. A wailing echoed through the storm, a fairly scary... and sad tactic. It had to be stopped, this was obviously a trick by the ghost. "Fone, Focus on her fake crying and use Hex!" The feline's eyes narrowed as he did just that, trying to pinpoint the wicked ghost. When he was sure he'd found her, Fone unleashed the long distance attack. A real cry from the hail echoed and soon the hailstorm stopped, the Froslass sinking into the floor, defeated.

Rejoining Fone, Ko knelled down to collect her little cub in her lap. "You're doing really well, this is far better then Mount Pyre had been." At least here it seemed only Ghost-types were attacking them. Fone seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Hopping down from her lap, Ko followed Fone has he took them towards the stairs. As she was about to step up, Kezia tapped Ko's shoulder. 'Hey... I think this is more or less a bad thing, but haven't you noticed we're short one person?' Ko glanced back, unsure what Kezia had meant until she noticed it. Well, she had noticed as soon as they'd arrived, but now it was just being recollected. "Oh wow... Yea, he is missing. Well, maybe he got sent to another part of the house?" Ko pondered. Kezia shrugged. She didn't know how teleportation worked. "Lets get searching then." Ko stated.
A cry from the top of the stairs drew Ko and company's attention. A Gengar had appeared, chuckling deviously at the Flurry stuck under it's foot. "Fone, Phantom Force!" The cub sank into the floor, nearly avoiding the Gengar's Torment attack.
Once Fone emerged and attacked, the Gengar began singing an ill tuned song, likely Perish Song. "End it with Hex, Fone!" Ko called. Fone did just that, landing his attack upon the Gengar, fainting it.

Heading up the stair, Ko met with Fone, collecting the small cub in her arms. He was handling these ghosts better and better with each passing battle. The cub playfully cried up towards Ko before hopping back down to the floor, dashing though some of the hail left behind by the Froslass' hailstorm. Not long after they'd started to travel through the house, they came upon a large room, a bedroom as it seemed, dawned with various toys and dolls, all of which were very creepy. Some of them had heads or other assorted limbs removed, while some simply had their eyes taken out. Ko wasn't to sure about this room, but before she could back up to leave, the door slammed shut, a doll blocking their path from re-opening the door.
Fone was no fool, he could detect the ghost's presences. He needn't an order from Ko either, given his soul purpose was to fight ghosts and collect their restless souls. Not to mention, he'd fought every other ghost since arriving, why would this one be any different?

With the Banette finally down, Ko collected Fone and quickly made her way out of the creepy doll room. All the while healing up the Flurry. "Ugg, I think I found my fear." Ko huffed. Looking down the hallway, she noticed an open door, leading out to what was likely a balcony. What sort of house had a door leading to a balcony in the hallway? Heading down in that direction, a Duskull suddenly appeared. It stared across the hall at Ko and company. At first, it didn't dawn on Ko that this was a wild Duskull, thinking it was Oorin, but then Fone leaped from her arms and cried it's baby cub-like roar at the Duskull, slipping into a Phantom force, just as sudden spray of liquid toxins rained from the ceiling. "Oh, good dodge, Fone!" Ko called in a gasp. That was certainly close.
With Fone on active duty, knocking out these ghosts was like child's play. They defeated the imposter Oorin and continued to the door that seemingly lead outside. It in fact did lead outside, but to a Courtyard. The house was more or less a mansion from the looks of it. Glancing up towards the sky, Ko felt a familiarity about it. Like she'd seen those very same clouds. Suddenly, a flash ran past Ko, which suddenly stopped as it passed once more, no longer chasing the Pumpkaboo it had before. What the flash was, turned out to be a Zoroark. "K?" It asked, approaching Ko it's Claws collecting her hands. "And Kezia! Woah it's been forever!" Ko took a moment, before it finally dawned on her. The reason all this was familiar was because she'd been here before... well, not here, as in this house, but here as in. "Are we in Lavender Town?" Ko asked. The Zoroark nodded rapidly. So that's why Ohm wasn't with them.... they'd been separated.... yet again.
Meanwhile, the Pumpkaboo that had been being chased returned with a vengence, but Fone made quick work of it as well.

The impact almost knocked her out cold but she manged to stay awake but now with a mind numbing headache and a slightly bloodied noes. It wasn't or any real concern though. Collect herself off the ground she came to realize she was in a small room. No lights so everything was a blur of dark colors mixed together nonobservance fashions. She could feel she was at least on a wooden floor. she knew it was wood because of the sound her shoes made knocking against it. A pokeball erupted releasing giving momentary light releasing Luponny who quickly found Sonoko in the gloom an began trying to direct her about. Pulling at her cloths towards a very slight crack of light she assumed was the light one would seen from a dark room when the next room over had light. It was the crack under the door.
Finding the doorknob Sonoko pushed against it but found the door had been barricaded. Harder and harder she pushed but nothing changed. The door wasn't going to budge. She paniced a little. The old crown at sent her to some unknown location, far beyond where anyone would know to look for her. Anxiety kicked in and sent increasing worse thoughts though her head causing her to begin beating on the door. "Please, let me out! Please Please, Letme out." Her panic was self evident

From the bright corridor of a pokemon center, into dark hallway of decrepit building. The change couldn't be this different. William saw only darkness due to how sudden it was. He stood still as statue as he knew the woman was present with him. IS THIS A KIDNAPPING!? his mind screamed and was about to launch into possible scenario of how and what could happen when his kidnapper spoke. "Take this lava cookies, it can cures any status ailment of your pokemon and remember to have fun~" his kidnapper(?) shoved 3 pieces of lava cookies on him, before disappearing into thin air. Well, she teleported out, but William didn't know that, for all he was aware, the woman could have been a ghost.
"wa-wait," he feebly said long after the woman (ghost?) was gone. "No, that's not it," he shook his head. She was quite solid and warm, so not ghost. He will think she wasn't a ghost, as long as he did, then she isn't. "She's solid and warm and oh! the flyer and cookies," William murmured to himself. He remembered that the woman had given him items, before he checked though, he returned Agate first as she was occupying his arm, then he stored the cookies, it would be a valuable item, and rummaged for his flashlight. He needed the light to read. "Let's see, this says, haunted house challenge . . . haunted house?" he paled at what that implied, ghost and of course all manner of things that wasn't good for his heart or mentality. His situation sounded grim already.
William finally finished reading the flyer, it stated there's two kind of challenge. One where his opponent progressively grow stronger and one where his opponent would be around his pokemon's level. The victory condition is to put eight ghost to rest as they worded it. He would be given a bag of treat and handsome reward that is useful for trainer. It's not specified what item he would get other than a list of treat he could pick with its effect. William cared more for getting out of the place though, but completing equal getting out, he suspected. Not to mention, he never get to choose his challenge. He hoped it to be a mirror challenge, the easier of the two.

Sonoko was fighting with her own anxiety as well as the blocked door and losing ground to both. Luponny made a few attempts at knocking the door off its hinges but both attempts failed resulting in her giving up in favor of a less physically straining escape.
After a while Sonoko gave up but only after busing her shoulder and hip pretty badly. Luponny had begun shifting things about in the dark room having. Both Snow and Luponny's eyes had by now adjusted to the low light levels and could now see to some small degree. Luponny had fond a large air vent hidden behind some boxes and was not directing Sonoko to it after having smashed off the cover.
Pushing into the tiny ventilation shaft she was realized to find it lead straight into another room with much more light, though still quite dark. Luponny help shove her through by pushing at her rear end until she was through enough to slip out on her own and stand. Luponny wasn't far behind. The room they now found them selves in had a collection of candles lite set about an alter with an odd assortment of cards spread out around it. Luponny picked up a single card and almost as soon as she did the rest sprung to light collecting into a pile. Luponny jumped back ready to strike but nothing else happened.
Sonoko stepping up to the deck picked up a card of her own. It was the two of cups. she had studied Tarots before so she knew the meaning. Why this card of all possible cards she though before setting the card back down atop the deck. No sooner has she then the cloth under the cards sprung to life knotting itself around them neatly presenting themselves as a gift. Sonoko hasitated a moment before picking the deck up and stuffing it onto her backpack. something just made her think she was meant to have them.

William was sorting his thought in the same spot when he arrived. He would need to face ghost, so he started to think of counter measure. Mur was at disadvantage, but he could help sense ghostly presence as he's a psychic. They had never done this before though, so it would serve as training for Mur. Maybe the espurr would learn psychic type move in the process too. Next, he would need pokemon that could effectively fend off ghost. Normal and fighting attack won't work. ghost and dark type moves worked best against ghost, both he didn't have. He was regretting he didn't capture the murkrow. It would be a great help if he had known. As it was now, Jasper's vine whip and Pikachu's thundershock would be his main attacker. He released the three to brief them. They were on alert instantly when they saw the dark corridor. "We got forced into haunted house and have to beat some ghost to complete it," William gave them short explanation. "G-ghost? I am not ready to fight ghost . . . "Mur whimpered, aware of his weakness. " I hope you won't need to fight. I need you to help sense them, while Jasper and the Pikachu would be taking them on," William explained his plan. "I suppose, since you lack move that will work on them other than thundershock, you should hold onto this. Jasper already have miracle seed, so it's fair you have one too," He handed an eviolite to Pikachu who took it reluctantly. She couldn't be happy being told that her trainer needed assurance to make her participate. "sorry, I don't have any for you, Mur," he told Mur who was expecting him to give her something too. The espurr didn't nag him about it, but decided he wanted to climb to sit on top of William's backpack. Lest he got dragged into battle if he walked alongside Pikachu and Jasper.
Each step they took made the floor creaked, William winced at how loud it felt. He couldn't help thinking the noise alerted everyone nearby. He tried to be careful whenever he put strength into his feet as he walked. He couldn't say his pokemon share his sentiment, though. Jasper trotted by his side with enthusiasm, each step made loud creaking, while pikachu ran on all four, tap tap tap tap, noise her paw made. "Jasper, Pikachu, shuush, walk more quietly," William told the two. "You will announce our presence the way you walk." Thus, their progress became slower as him and his pokemon adjusted themselves to master walking on wooden floor without much noise.
It might have been too late for them, for he heard giggled of a girl and running footstep. Chills ran through his back for a split second, he saw her gliding through wall. "AAAAAAaaaaaaHHHH!" He couldn't help to scream and jumped away, knocking his back to the wall side of the narrow corridor. His pokemon cried out along too, Jasper quickly took the front to protect his trainer, while Pikachu stood up on her hind leg, ears twitching in alarm. Mur nearly got squashed by Will, he grabbed on William's head that made William screamed even louder. "THE GHOST CAUGHT ME! HELP!" William had completely lost it. He forgot he had pokemon with him, especially Mur on his back."WHAT!? GHOST? WHERE?"Mur echoed him, he tightened his grip, claws unsheathed due to fright. He's suppose to be the one who determined the authentication of ghost . . .
Pikachu and Jasper cried out as they tried to tell him it's Mur that was on his back. It might as well be background noise when William couldn't understand them. The situation got worse when roaring rumble shook the corridor. "Keha KehAHAhAhHAhAHAH!!!" something was amused. Furnitures started to float, light flickered on and off. This made William stopped to stare wide-eyed at the poltergeist. A brief moment before he registered what happened, when he did, "RUN!!!" He screamed, then ran down the corridor. Completely forgetting his pokemon who ran alongside him. Behind them the furniture barraged them, William got smacked with a bundle of bag in the face, he had to ripped it off his face as he ran, blindly running who knows where. He didn't care how much ruckus he made or how his screamed could be heard all the way to the next floor. he just wanted to get away.
