The rules were simple. Corven drummed his fingers on the table as it was explained. 10 Coins for Blackjack. House gets 5 Coins for every bust, House gets 1 Coin if you back out. You get two cards to start and your able to hit the deck until you reach Blackjack....
He sighed a glared. "Lets get this game going already! If others wanna join they can just sit right on down!"
He glanced around to the four other chairs before he picked up his two cards...

It was a common saying, that the house always won when it came to black jack. So when she mentioned it to the group earlier, Juliette made a mental note to maybe stay away from the tables.
Yet here she was.
Maybe it was because who was sitting there. "Oh, Fluffles, Durza! It is so wonderful to see you." Or maybe it wasn't under these circumstances, but as best as she could manage the two boys received a hug from her. It might have been awkward in those seats, but dammit they were getting one before she sat herself down.
She found cards placed in front of her before she could object. So, now she was in the game. With a very low hand.

Durza looked up as Juliette hugged him. "Hello again! How are those patches going?" he asks sheepishly. He reaches for a fourth card, grimacing. However even without Lord Umbrella offering luck, he'd managed not to go over the limit. "Blackjack."

Lorena had to go back to the blackjack tables. She still had 90 coins to collect and time was ticking away faster and faster. She spotted Durza and others at one of the tables and headed there to take one of the empty seats.
“It’s good to finally see some friendly faces around here.” There was no warmth in her voice though; they’d taken that right out of her earlier.

The housewife fiddled with her shirt, thirteen wasn’t bad. It was a little high but that was okay, she didn’t need much to hit blackjack again or twenty to beat the house. She could do this.
