1.Getting to know the settings.

WCHB has its own backstory and almost nothing from the canon Bleach timeline remains. There was no Ichigo, the Gotei 13 was founded differently and Fullbringers are actually a thing.

1.1. [Timeline]: Contains events that have happened from each faction's point of view. Your character will be expected to know some things, some lore even in some cases.

1.2. [Shinigami]|[Arrancar]|[Quincy]|[Fullbringer]|[Vizard]: The following links will bring you to the History post dedicated to the creation of each race's main faction. Please, do not be too intimidated by the length of each text. Despite how long they may seem, they are still vague enough to allow much room for your character or his/her family's to contribute to it.

1.3. [Summary of Events]: This thread contains summaries of all major crew-ran events since the launch of the guild. It may not be completely up to date at times, but this is where you should go to situate your character before making your first RP post.

2. Pick a race/faction!

By now, you should already have a pretty good idea of what's going on and what has happened in the past for each race. This will allow you to make an enlightened choice concerning what type of character you want to RP and start a rough draft of their profile using the [Shinigami]|[Arrancar]|[Quincy]|[Fullbringer]|[Vizard] profile skeleton. Keep in mind that the format is not mandatory. You can fancy-up your profile as much as you want so long as all sections from our default profile are present.

2.1. [Shinigami]|[Arrancar]|[Quincy]|[Fullbringer]|[Vizard] Character Roster: Though those are character rosters, they display what ranks and positions are still available and up for grab. Look for the word VACANT.

              Application:
Characters that are faction leaders will need to submit an RP sample to Feiyimei or Jighthigh.
Leaders of sub-factions will need to submit an RP sample to their faction leader, Feiyimei or Jighthigh if the faction leader is not available.
Members of sub-factions will need to send their application to their sub-factions' leader and it will be up to them to decide how to process these applications.

If you have been approved, please ask them to make a post stating that in your profile thread so that profile reviewers will know that the ranks have already been decided upon.

              Samples:
-Length does not matter, but we will be evaluating content and basic grammar.
-A link is preferred because we want to see how you interact with others in an RP and not just a text the length of a novella with only your character and NPCs.

2.2. [Custom Lineage Review]: Want to make your character be part of a significant group? This is where you create them and submit them for review. Make sure that there are open positions by visiting the Influential Clan post of [Shinigami]|[Arrancar]|[Quincy].

3. The evil mechanics...

If you've read through the different sections of each profile skeletons, you may have noticed some odd things...

3.1. [Training, Specialization & Qualification]: Specialization and Qualification are perhaps the first 2 things that will strike as odd when going through the profile skeleton. Specialization and Training goes hand in hand. To obtain new powers and techniques (see 3.2 for more information), one needs to train in-character for them. Like many guilds, we use the training post count method to reward effort, but, to encourage RP interactions, the number of posts needed to gain these powers and techniques is reduced by the presence of another RPC. Furthermore, if your character specializes in the discipline your are training for, they get an additional post count reduction. In other words, it is 'easier' for them to improve in such fields and learn new things.
Qualification is something else entirely and, in a way, one can go on role-playing without ever caring about it. Qualification is for people that want to give their characters special 'secret' techniques only they know about (unless they teach it to others). For a character to create a technique, they need to be qualified in the technique's discipline.

3.2. [Shinigami]|[Arrancar]|[Quincy]|[Fullbringer]|[Vizard] Powers and Techniques: This section refers to the different type of powers and techniques each race can own. This section includes zanpakuto release and their equivalents. Since Fullbringers and Quincies were never fully developed in the series when the guild first launched, we took the liberty of adding our own definition of what each ability entails for those races. In other words, Quincies and Fullbringers may greatly deviate from cannon material so it is highly suggested that you read through their powers if you decide to make a character of that race. As for techniques, except for Arrancars for now, there are no limit to how many a character may start for. It is up to the profile reviewer's common sense to decide whether or not a character has too many or too little. Some canon techniques have been altered to better balance things out.

3.3. NPC Rolls: The crew will occasionally unleash groups of NPCs in threads for RPers to defeat. Instructions will be posted each time, but they will essentially revolve around random number generator that can be seen below the text box under the 'Post Action' section. The system is constantly being reviewed to better reflect a combatant's stats so it would be best to always read through them no matter how often you have encountered them.

3.4. Thread Switching: Before moving to a new thread, make sure to check the initial post or any announcement threads in that subforum to make sure that there aren't any rules in place that would prevent immediate travel to those places. This is to ensure that no one goes barging into the HQ of enemy bases at the drop of a hat.

4. Getting your profile approved.

Once your profile is done, change its thread title to include "[Awaiting Approval]" or "[AA]". It may also be a good idea to bump it so that profile reviewers may notice them faster. Make the appropriate changes and resubmit them until it is finally approved.

      The current profile reviewers are:
      Shinigami:
      Arrancar/Hollow:
      Quincy:
      Fullbringers:
      Vizards:
Please give them a few days before PMing/quoting them about your profile. If all reviewers of your character's race is unavailable, feel free to contact any other profile reviewer.

5. Getting your RP on.

    • Current Events! We usually always have something happening. If there has been some posts in a thread, chances are, something may happen there. If the last to post there was a mod that did not make an [Exit] post, give it a try and quote them in your post. Also, chances are that some events are affecting a realm in its totality to there's always room for some NPC interactions.
    • Latest 5 active threads from the guild's homepage. A lot may be OoC threads, but you are bound to land on some RP threads for your character to make an entrance.
    • [OoC] to ask for some RP partner.
