[ Growing Strong ]

The words of House Tyrell, an ancient family tracing their lineage back to the time before the Cerynei left the Kawani. They still ring true in the ears of its descendants, children who have at last returned to the Kawani Lands. Once the stewards and gardeners of the Cerynei royalty, they fled the fires of the Cerynei Lands and were separated from their liege lords and cherished protectors. Now charged with keeping the traditions of their ancestors, they raise the golden roses of their family's sigil in a hidden meadow. And in the aftermath of the Great Fires of the Kawani, a new golden rose has been born...

[ Rules ]

1. No spoilers! Margaery is a character from George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and its television adaption, Game of Thrones. Some of her plots have been adapted from the books and show, but they are all written specifically for Soquili, so hopefully they won't spoil anything. Please only talk about Soquili plots, rather than the book/TV plots here. If you want to suggest a book/TV-related plot for adaptation to Soq-Margaery, stick it in spoilers. <3
2. Remember the ToS, Soquili rules, and these rules, and follow them. Also, please be nice - we want to plot drama for our ponies, not make it for ourselves.

4. Unfortunately, I can't accept every plot or interaction that comes our way. Please understand that it's nothing personal; not every plot will fit with Margaery, and I may not have the time a plot deserves to have devoted to it.
5. Please, do NOT ask about breedings unless there is a plot that specifically mentions them. I do not plan to breed Margaery for a long time. (Curious questions about them are fine, but... don't ask for a breeding. XP )

[ Warnings ]

Margaery's plots will include the following: death, violence, abuse, physical and emotional distress, and kidnapping, at the very least. They will never include rape, incest, or other issues that are against Soquili's and Gaia's rules.
Some of Margaery's plots may begin to look spoilery if you think too hard about them. However, these have all been adapted to Soquili and some never happen in the books/show at all. Please remember that going forward. :3

[ About Margaery ]

Born to a lifemated and loving pair, Margaery was the only and long-sought daughter. Her brother emerged from his basket just minutes before Margaery, and the two have been close in everything ever since. He is her protector, her best friend, and her confidant. When they entered the world, they were watched over by their two older brothers, and both of those older brothers still keep a careful eye on them, though one has a lifemate of his own.

Raised on myths and legends, Margaery truly believes everything that she's been told - her ancestors were born of the trees and flowers, knights are always gallant, queens and kings protect their people before all else. The most important thing she has been taught, however, is generosity and selflessness: her first duty is to cater to the family, to their roses, and to any strangers who might have need of her. Someday, she wants to bring peace and fulfillment to all the world's people, and she will do it any way she can, be it with a listening ear, sound advice, a gift, or a healing (albeit amateur) touch.

As a flutter, she can shrink down to a tiny size to drink nectar, which is a main part of her diet. Her family is very proud of their heritage, and Margaery has been bestowed with a more-than-ample supply of familial pride, especially when it comes to showing off the golden roses of her House. Her family lives in a grove that they've named Highgarden, after the palace in which they once served as stewards in the Cerynei Lands, before the Great Burning. Though they served the princes and kings of the Cerynei Lands, the royals were lost to them in the burning; when the Tyrells' ancestors returned to the Kawani Lands, all they had left to serve were the cuttings of the golden roses that they brought with them, and they have served those to this day, nurturing them into great bushes that smell even more heavenly than a wild rose.

Lastly, Margaery is very naive - and it will be very easy to take advantage of her. See the plots below for details.

[ Main Plotline ]

These are Margaery's main plots as they will be written in chronological order. When one is in progress, the bolded name will be linked to a roleplay.

♣ Life in Highgarden: Various plots and roleplays that take place in Highgarden before Margaery's life really begins.
----- ♣ Among the Roses: Davina, Margaery's cousin and the daughter of Lynesse Hightower and Tregor Ormollen, comes to live in Highgarden. She is raised as a Tyrell despite her parentage.
----- ♣ The Glory of Highgarden: Margaery reflects on her family and her life up to this point, and realizes she can't wait for adventure to find her; she must find it.
♣ A Nameless Mistake: Margaery takes the brunt of an assassination attempt meant for her cousin, Davina, who was the subject of a plot by the mother of one of Tregor Ormollen's concubines, who died in foaling. The mother had wanted to take a daughter from him in repayment for the loss of her own. Kamila Maluhia, a novice Faceless Man, was meant to carry out the assassination of Davina, but mistook Margaery for her. The resulting blow to the head caused issues with Margaery's ability to shrink, and after a confrontation with her cousin, she left Highgarden. Her brother, Willas, made her take the family's crossbow to remind her that they would always protect her.
♣ Signs of Winter: Margaery meets Jon Snow on his way to the Wall.
♣ Winter Has Come: Peril strikes the khalasar in the form of White Walker and The Other, and Margaery is on the front lines, unable to escape to warn the khalasar, as is her duty. She is severely wounded, physically and psychologically, and begins to flicker between her full size and flutter size, each of the transformations more painful than the one before it, as well as unpredictable. She loses faith (and possibly gains heartbreak) in Daenerys for not being able to keep her people safe from harm, as she thought her idol would guarantee. Devastated by the loss of her power and the emotional pain, Margaery leaves the khalasar with at least a head wound.
♣ Wicked World: Margaery witnesses the cruelty of the world and goes through even more physical pain as she tries to deal with her flickering form. A few months later, the khalasar finds her or she finds the khalasar and she rejoins them. Healing, she begins to understand that Dany is not at fault for injuries caused by the Other and White Walker and apologizes for any words that were exchanged at the time of her leaving. Eventually, though, she begins to get lonely and drifts away from the herd, in search of the prince that she set out from Highgarden to find.
----- ♣ Manipulations: Margaery meets Devanira, who takes advantage of her generosity. Eventually, Devanira snaps at her, and Margaery convinces herself to go back to the khalasar.
♣ The Seven-Pointed Star: For the first time in her life, Margaery struggles with her faith. Though she comes out with it intact, she almost loses faith. [Set during the time she is apart from the khalasar after the Winter Has Come plot.]
♣ Love Cuts Deeper Than Swords: Margaery experiences the loss of one or more partners she had planned to be lifemated to in a span of six to twelve months, the first departing fairly quickly and second after months of careful courtship. For plot purposes, she thinks that both are dead, whether they are or not. Grieving, she sets romance aside and returns to what she believes in - that there should always be someone there to heal the hurt and comfort others. After the attacks, her flicker worsens. [First: Lady Argentum Draconis's Taliesin (plot set prior to his lifemating). Second: tefla's Revenant.]
----- ♣ A Prince in the Making: Margaery meets Taliesin, a likely fellow who appears worthy of her attentions, at least by her family's standards.
----- ♣ Welcome to My Kingdom: A stallion named Revenant stumbles upon Margaery, and she notices that he is another prince, if by looks only (so far).
♣ The Wall: Wounded and devastated after the second attack, Margaery is found by Jon Snow, who takes her back to the Wall on his way home from a ranging. At the Wall, he stands by as her wounds are healed and explains to her about the creatures who killed/took/ran off her beloved - the skinwalkers. As she learns more about them and realizes what they are, she sets out to find victims of the creatures and protect them after getting some self-defense training. While there, her flicker begins to relent.
♣ Still Here: Broken and grieving, Margaery feels the loss of Revenant like a hole in her very soul. [Self RP; inspiration.]
♣ For Better... Or Worse: Margaery seeks out victims of abuse and attacks, to comfort them and help them heal from wounds physical and psychological, as she is still trying to do herself. In the midst of trying to get one victim to safety, they are set upon by some kind of beast (skinwalker, dragon, kelpi, something predatory) that takes her in place of the victim that she protects. Kidnapped and hidden away, she learns to read the beast and carefully step around its anger and temper, letting it believe that she wants to be there. One day she manages to wile her way into an outing and escapes.
♣ A Hunt: Now knowing firsthand what it is to be a victim of more than one attack, Margaery sets out to end as much violence as she can. She finds a Hippogryph (possibly a Harpy) who can teach her to use her crossbow and trades with the Kawani for arrows, which she shortens into rudimentary bolts. Weapon at the ready, she hunts and takes down or scares off any perpetrators that she comes across, adopting a basket that she finds along the way and eventually rejoining the khalasar. [Hippogryph: Nakoma Chetanluta (Lestragne), but more are welcome.]
♣ Serving the Khaleesi: With her new skill as a crossbowman, Margaery dedicates herself to the defense of the khalasar and her khaleesi, striving to be worthy of the Queensguard (or an advisement position or something). Daenerys has become her idol once more.
♣ The Flicker Due to some on-the-job stressor, Margaery's flicker gets worse again. She seeks counsel from all Unicorns, Kirin, and Minicorns that the khalasar passes, hoping for a cure. Nothing helps, but when she is taken off duty (to her horror), the flickering goes from rapid-fire, unpredictable and painful transformations to a little bit of choppiness when she actually tries to transform into whichever size she needs. This is taken as a sign that she needs relaxation, disappointed as she is. She becomes a regular herd member or takes a step back from her previous position. Eventually someone thinks to wonder if it's a psychological trauma, and their help with her coping with her issues alleviates the flicker, even with the stressors, to the little bit of choppiness mentioned before. It's a permanent characteristic, though.
♣ The Paramour: Margaery's first experience with a hot and heavy romance. She spends a lot of time away from the khalasar with this soquili, but eventually realizes that s/he isn't good for her and breaks it off, despite her connection with her paramour. This will be heartbreaking for her; be up for a fight, anguish, and more. [Taken by Falsetto Amachi. Inspiration.]
----- ♣ Desert Heat: Margaery meets Falsetto Amachi and inspires the mare to get to know herself.
----- ♣ Desert Dust: Falsetto Amachi comes to Margaery seeking advice.
♣ Lies: Longing for and reflecting on all the things she's lost and been through, Margaery resolves to put romance aside for good. [Self RP.]
♣ Dishonoring: Margaery's family learns of her relationship with her paramour when she returns to Highgarden for a visit, as well as her flicker, kidnapping, and the accidents that happened with the stallions that courted her. They try to be understanding and sympathetic, but at the same time, force her to cleanse herself. Reluctant at first, she grows even more hesitant as the ceremony goes on; halfway through, she realizes that she is not sorry for anything that has happened to her, because all of it has made her grow into the mare she is. She explodes and stops the ceremony and takes control of the acquiescent feelings she's had for her parents, and makes them see who she really is. When she leaves, both parties are a bit bitter, but her parents have judged her as "cleansed" despite the half-finished ceremony.
♣ Butterflies: The right kind of boy comes her way, but she is shut off...

[ Future Plots on the Main Plotline ]

♣ Losing My Religion: Up until this point, Margaery's faith will have kept her strong. During the course of the second part of her main plotline (which is as yet unwritten), however, Margaery will question her faith a second time - and will lose it.

[ Side Plots ]

These are Margaery's side plots and may not occur in chronological order. When one is in progress, the bolded name will be linked to a roleplay.

♣ Single Mother: Margaery raises a basket she found in the wreckage of an attack - this plot encompasses all interactions with the basket, its friends, growing up, etc. The basket will be referred to as her "ward." [Looking for this - note that the plot itself will not swing into motion for some time.]
♣ Night Terrors: After each of the attacks she is subject to, Margaery has night terrors that grow and grow. She hates going to sleep and runs on fumes until something makes them fade.
♣ Claustrophobia: After being held captive in a cave, Margaery will no longer have any love for them - even seeing one will make her nervous. The canopy of a forest is a different matter, though, as it protects her from anything that might come down to scoop her up. This plot could be an interaction with anyone who wants her to come on an adventure with them and wants to take her into a cave. It'll end either in her being soothed enough to face her fears - or in an ended friendship.
♣ The Natives: Margaery's family has long depended on the Kawani and other people in the land near their grove for things like baths, brushings, and their hairdos - will someone have an issue with this?
♣ Stylistically Speaking: Far away from any native, Margaery's braids come undone. A dexterous raccoon (or other able creature...?) helps her fix them.
♣ Attraction: Just what it sounds like: Margaery has a crush on you. More than likely just a teeny bit more than an admiration, the attraction won't go anywhere - but it's still fun to play with her emotions, right? [Looking for: any size/species mare or stallion, lifemated or single. We're experimenting here.]
♣ Taking Advantage: Margaery is known for being generous, and there are many ways someone could take advantage of her. These interactions can be set before or after her naivety vanishes, and we're looking for the following, but the list is not limited to these: someone who wants a material item from her; someone who wants her; someone who won't let her leave until they get what they want; someone who wants her attention; someone who can't be helped. [Looking for this. I expect a lot of these to be uncomfortable. We're good with that.]
♣ Flight: Margaery's wings can only give her flight in her small form - and she's fine with that. But is there a bigoted pro-wings/pro-flight soquili out there who isn't fine with it? Let's throw them together and see the sparks fly!
♣ Book & TV Show Interactions: Looking for other ASoIaF/GoT characters for Margaery to interact with with whom she has plots in the books/show. I'd like to follow her plotline a little more. [Looking for interactions with: Sansa Stark and questers seeking any of the Tyrell family, Joffrey, Tommen, or Cersei.]
♣ Non-Book/TV Show Interactions: Looking for characters from ASoIaF/GoT that Margaery has not met in the books/show. Psh, we can make our own plots, right? [Looking for: Anyone who has or is questing an ASoIaF/GoT character or OC.]
♣ Meet & Greets: These are insanely hard for me to finish and I will likely turn you down unless there is a good meet-n-greet plot. Plots that might work: taking care of weary travelers in Highgarden, meeting someone with curious features...
♣ Carnivores: At the moment, Margaery abhors carnivores. Even being a vegetarian makes her antsy; she doesn't like having to kill other creatures in order to eat, which is why she loves nectar. Can you convince her that eating meat is not as disgusting a way of life as she believes?

♣ Herod & Bracken ♣


♣ Best Friends Forever: These guys are inseparable - and polar opposites. Herod is Bracken's protector, of sorts, if you can count her using him as a decoy as a protector. Basically useless in a fight, Herod's main strategy is to use the element of surprise, while Bracken's is to run away if the tides turn against her. SO. Have a soq who could get into a fight with this ridiculous pair? Toss it at them. Let's see how fast these chickens can run. [Note: Bracken is not afraid to fight, but she will GTFO if things go against her. Which they should. XD ]

♣ A... Mistake!: Bracken and Herod will not and will never be romantically involved... But there are other minis and regulars who are. I want to see their reaction to somebody's mistaken notion that they're a couple. >3

♣ A Grounding Presence: Oak, Bracken's buffalo familiar, is what grounds these two - Bracken from her emotionless aloofness and Herod from his... well, himself. This is just a fun little meet-n-greet probably where somebody notices how Oak is the compassion and clarity that holds the group together. If somebody tells them this, an argument between Herod and Bracken will ensue, but Oak will just sit there and smile and feel appreciated at last. <3

[ Paris ]


♣ Familicide + World Domination: Paris is the epitome of the scaredy cat, but not in the way one would think. She is paranoid, psychotic, erratic, and a clean freak - and her descendants terrify her. They terrify her not because there are so many of them or because they are strong; they terrify her because they are after her (or so she thinks). It would take only one of them to get close enough to her to kill her, and she knows she is weak. Her plan? Build herself an army and make a preemptive strike. Take out as many of her descendants as she can before they take her out. How will she do it? Basket-napping. Foal-napping. Brainwashing. All of the above. This plot is still in the works - but it will be her pride and her downfall.
