Appearance
Appearance:
Lloren generally dresses in a sloppy manner, hardly ever wearing anything else than loose-fitting men's clothing in drab colors and one of her dad's fishing hats. Her father gave up on getting her to dress nicely ages ago, and her mother's attitude towards clothing is something like "if it fits, it can be worn!", so she encountered no resistance there. Furthermore, her body language and manner of speech is often much like one would expect of a little kid boy. This is 100% unconscious and she simply doesn't care. 8'D She's also always wanted to be a giant buff person who can carry someone on each shoulder, but her body is far from heavy-framed (more of a lithe frame) and her muscles are the compact stringy kind that doesn't look all that impressive, despite being functional and growing stronger with training. Woe be her.

Personality
Personality:
Needless to say, this one friendly, happy-go-lucky gal isn't very big on rules, social orders and traditions. Lloren just casually does her own thing while trying not to cause inconvenience for others. She is very progress-minded and is a rational thinker, her goals and aspirations revolving around the betterment of the world and of people's lives- of course, often this is at the expense of rules, social orders and traditions, which can make many uncomfortable with her attitude especially when she actively seeks opportunities for improvement and isn't too shy to voice her ideas. She exhibits a passion for invention, learning new skills, and natural philosophy (this is essentially an old name for 'science'.)
A free spirit, her curiosity and sense of fun certainly has not been dampened by the years; Lloren has an unending case of wanderlust and likes to explore everywhere that she can, even hidden spaces that one is not supposed to access. She does, however, take care not to endanger hers or other's lives.
A self-styled comedian, she will use any opportunity she gets to be funny- make jokes, word plays, behave in comical and unexpected manners, et caetera. This pronounced sense of humor serves well in lightening the mood but can inhibit focus and distract from important issues, which can cause irritation. While she may derive amusement from teasing others, she never does so to the point of cruelty; after all, Lloren is empathetic to a fault and has an inordinate respect for life, stemming from an acute awareness of death. She can't even kill a fly and seriously doesn't like seeing others do such things, either. As Titans are unthinking killing machines and also out of self-defense, she would nevertheless have no qualms with killing titans. She'd feel guilty but feel stupid about it.
Despite this pacifism, Lloren loves action. Fighting is a sport to her. On a normal day she always seems to have the energy to climb, jump, run, roll around, and spar all over the place. When she sees someone who looks like they may be open to a spar, she gets excited about the possibility even though her only 'martial training' is nothing but an unimpressive homebrew of brawling experience. =v= She fights well against someone with less experience- she's quick and crafty on the offense, with a high pain tolerance and her tendency to brush off hits without interruption making up somewhat for her poor defensive capabilities. Against someone with equal experience they are likely to be equally matched.
Lloren forgives mistakes and accepts flaws in others by default, as she can emphasize and is rather eccentric, herself. She too has flaws, and she too makes mistakes, so why should she get angry at others? Plus, usually, the worse the situation, the more steely her nerves get- she has no emotion to spare when there is an urgent disaster that needs fixing (and little tiny disasters, well, they don't put a dent in her attitude. They'll probably just amuse her. Going with the flow. 8'D).
But moral failings, on the other hand- deliberate cruelty and disrespect, selfish manipulativeness and the like- breaks right through her every defensive wall and riles her up big time, which is mostly detrimental to herself from how stressful it is for her. She balks at the mere idea of having to be in the company of what she calls 'terrible people' and will let the offender know her disgust with them, which can put lasting major tensions between her and these others. Lloren's fight or flight instinct is essentially constantly triggered when an offending moral failure of a person is in the equation; concerning herself, she always chooses flight- but if someone else is the victim, she will fight on their behalf like an angry god... if granted permission by the victim, that is. She wouldn't want to get them involved in a battle they didn't ask for. It is unknown what caused such a pronounced intolerance in Lloren for such people, but as a result of it she needs to believe that most people are altruistic and would never step on others to achieve their goals. If she were to doubt people easily, it would make her suffer. So instead she chooses to be gullible; even if people take advantage of her easily, at least she's knows she's being a hella better person than them anyways.
In the end, Lloren is a romantic- she sees so much beauty in the world that she's written songs and poetry since a young age and dabbled in many arts, prompting her parents to have her learn to paint under professional instruction for awhile, an odd luxury for a middle class family. As for relationships, she'd never had any and never displayed any interest in such, besides friendship. Her mind is strikingly empty of such thoughts. In the troubled times to come, this will hold true for many...
What might not hold true for many is Lloren's degree of prude. She simply cannot withstand nakedness nearby her, or even seeing any particularly prominent female features. She does not criticize anyone's right to not wear clothes but expresses a marked desperation to avoid being face to face with them in such situations even between friends.

History
History: Lloren's mother, Lu-Han Peng, is the youngest daughter of a very troubled upper middle class family that lives in Utopia, but has fallen from glory. She was always bullied by her older siblings, who were always fighting for their parents favouritism- but truth is, neither parent had much love to spare for any of their children. What they did have was aggression. The Pengs had once owned more land than some nobles and did most of their business directly with said nobles, selling antiques and luxury items. Lu-Han's father was a gambling addict, however, and lost the family fortune to this hobby. Unable to put up with the abusive household any longer, Lu-Han left her home to make it on her own. Leaving Utopia and travelling to the distant lands to the north, she met Lloren's father, Marr Klerksen. They fell in love and had Ruben (Lloren's older brother), and two years later, Lloren. The two siblings get along swimmingly well, often putting on a comedy duo act. The comedian streak runs strong through the whole family unit, to the delight and/or exhaustion of their guests, and the two parents are so in love it shines too lovey-dovey to behold. x'D
Marr comes from a fishing family that has lived for generations in the village of Nilak, nestled in a valley by the north-flowing river that crosses the walls. With mountains on either side, Nilak would be isolated if not for the trading boat traffic running up the river. With Lu-Han's green thumb and Marr's enterprising endeavors, the couple turned their fishing boat into a trading boat which participates in joint ventures with other merchants; additionally, Marr is known for creating and organizing the delivery network for correspondence and resources that runs north of Nedlay.
Thus, Lloren's family is now of the middle class, and she has benefited from a comfortable life with a higher education and two very awesome parents. She grew up a well-meaning, active child with big hopes and dreams to make it into Utopia by getting into the Military Police- and then using her position to pitch the idea to higher-ups to organize a research branch of the military which can work in conjunction with the survey corps. She hopes that humanity will one day be able to harness solar-powered energy like the titans do. She also wishes for the titan's regenerative power to be adapted for humans as a possible cure for amputees, disease, starvation et caetera.
The first step towards this project- joining the military and becoming a trainee- has been achieved, though she had to leave a lot of friends behind to do so. QUQ She and her friends send each other correspondences sometimes!
