Health Channel Surfer - Go ahead. Take Ollie's remote while he's watching a show about rare diseases or plastic surgery. He dares you. On the other hand, he's always happy to watch some sort of informational show with anyone, granted they can make a case as to why it's educational. MMA Fighting? Are you training to become one? Ok. He considers it research for you and will watch with you, so he has a reference point of what injuries could occur should you need a nurse to help you out.
Gambling - He can stop at any time.....but wait, the table's hot! Ollie can turn damn near anything into a wager, and despite his intelligence, doesn't ALWAYS know when to quit. Especially when the wagers on a topic he knows little about. Now on more EDUCATED guesses, or fields he has quite a lot of experience with, his wagers become significantly more high-stakes as he firmly believes he cannot lose. He's almost lost his tuition money twice now because of the habit.
Problem Solving - Puzzles, riddles, and tricks of all kinds delight Olivander and he's ALWAYS happy to lend his mind to an issue should you need it. Wanna figure out a Rubix cube? Ollie loves them. Need help figuring out what classes to take and how to balance the workload? Ollie loves that too. He simply despises leaving questions unanswered, and will exhaust all possibilities to figure something out. He loves word games especially, and if he really likes you will have riddle wars with you. The one who wins is the one who stumps the other player.
Virtues:
Quickwitted -- Thinking on his feet is second nature to Ollie. Most things in life can be fixed, if not outright avoided, by a little practical thinking. He's good at going with things on the fly, and has the potential to be quite charming when he feels the mood calls for it. One of his greatest assets is his persuasive nature and penchant for finding the right words to say to the right person. In a high-stress situation he delays a little, but he's still quite bright, and a good asset to any team.
Cooperative -- For the most part, while he may complain or occasionally try to make himself look good and take the credit, Ollie doesn't mind working in teams. In fact he sees the value in it quite clearly and is willing to get along to get along. He will easily choke down how much he hates you if he sees you as a benefit to him in the long run, and usually situates himself in a seat of helpfulness so you can't claim he didn't contribute.
Bedside Manner -- Everyone, at any point in time, could be a patient. One of the very FEW things Ollie takes seriously is the Hippocratic Oath. Deep down he has a genuine care for humanity at large, after all he IS a part of it. He's actually quite gentle and sweet with patients. This could range from a cold to needing your arm put back in its socket. He actually enjoys caring for people.
Patient -- Ollie is disturbingly patient. It isn't easy to rile him up, which makes him well suited for his field and dealing with people in general. He won't complain if you take too long to get ready before going out, or yammer on and on about the driest subject on the face of the planet. His patience is the main reason he usually doesn't challenge anyone else, as he's of the opinion he can simply wait you out if you are wrong and do not want to admit you are. It also helps with his ability to cooperate with others he finds less intelligent than himself.
Flaws:
Condescending -- Better than you does not begin to describe how Olive thinks about himself. Stupidity is not tolerated in his presence, and ANY opportunity he has to point out just how much smarter he's being than you will be taken in spades. His voice drips sarcasm, and he's rather unapologetic about it. If you manage an actual apology from him, you either have something on him that's damaging, or he really REALLY cares about his relationship with you. He also likes to point out the flaws in others, his favorites to point out are the ones he himself has but will not acknowledge.
Arrogant -- Ollie thinks he's the smartest damn person around. If he takes an educated guess, obviously he's going to be right, since he's done research on the subject. This becomes a massive issue when coupled with his gambling problem, especially with knowing when to stop when he's ahead. He EXUDES confidence....when he's comfortable that is. His arrogance shakes a little in unfamiliar situations, but usually turns into a bluff at that point. Give him an inch and he will take a mile.
Coward -- For all his pompous airs, reckless gambling, and arrogance, Olive is a tride and true coward. When it comes to you or him, don't expect him to stand by you, no matter how much he cares for you. It may pain him deeply to leave you behind in a life or death situation, but his first interest will always be his own safety. Even in mundane situations, if he can find a way to spin a situation in his favor, he will, and it he can't? Well lets just say he tries his best to weasel out of it entirely.
Silver Tounge -- While he CAN be incredibly charming and persuasive, one of his greatest strengths, you get to a point with all the promises and cajoling that you're not QUITE SURE if you can trust him anymore. When you talk out of two sides of your mouth, it's difficult to decide which story's the truth. It doesn't help when Ollie decides on his 'version' of the truth and believes in it to make himself feel better, for while it makes his story SOUND more convincing, it's also a greater disappointment to those around him when he's found out.

Face: lanky, almost a bit of a babyface. charming looking.
Clothes: your standard bookish individual. classy, but still decidedly looking like he could either be a professional or a librarian. fifty fifty.
