Khayman had directed Tsavolite to a nearby park, the same one, in fact, where he had first met the young lady lying limp in his friends arms. Weaving in and out of the trees until they made it to a secluded clearing away from the path, Khayman was frantic. Now that he'd had a moment to calm a little, he nosed Pavo's cheek and gave her a tiny lick after Tsav had set her down.

She wasn't breathing, he noticed, and upon further inspection, he couldn't feel an energy signature. He backed away in horror as his bright eyes grew wide, shaking his head in panicked disbelief.

"No. No no NO! WHAT HAVE I DONE!? Tsavolite, we need to go back, we need to find her starseed! She'll die without it, she can't die, I will not allow it! I have searched over a year for her, I will not lose her the moment I find her because I was an idiot and forgot to go find her starseed!"
he mourned, his voice altering in pitch and timbre in places, breaking here and there as his words sped up faster in his panic. He circled frantically, clawing at his own face, muttering about his stupidity and self loathing.

Tsavolite, to his credit, was a generally brilliant individual, but he couldn't initially understand his new furry friends distress. Rolling his eyes, he chuckled, not paying attention to half of the cats nervous ranting.

"You mean THIS starseed? She walked straight into my hand. Easy as a routine stitchup. You haven't failed, Khay. We can corrupt her, go home safe, exaggerate our exploits a little, and still look good for bringing back something from the entire subway fiasco that was worth taking," he remarked haughtily, taking the faintly glowing starseed from his breast pocket.

While the guardian cat stood in quiet, alarmed shock, Tsavolite unceremoniously popped the starseed back into her chest, deciding to provide the pumping action of CPR to try and jumpstart the heart back into a regular rhythm. She'd likely hurt a lot, considering her heart had nearly stopped entirely, and blood was circulating so slowly her muscles were likely screaming in agony. On second thought, Tsavolite abruptly slid back a pace or two so as not to get decked by a recently revived senshi who wouldn't be very happy to see him right away.

Everything had been darkness and deafening silence. A horrifying oblivion that seemed to stretch on and on into endless nothing.

Then suddenly there was something. It started as a burning ache to the chest, and then spread out to consume every fiber of her being. A throb, the painful beat of a heart that had very nearly stopped for good. The first ragged, gasping breath was harsh, and her lungs burned as they filled with air. Dark, honey colored eyes snapping open as her back came up off the ground a few inches then dropped immediately after. It hurt. God it hurt. Searing agony that made the nightmarish nothingness of a moment before seem like bliss.

It was too much, and Pavo cried out, writhing against the grass before rolling onto her side, the tips of painted nails sinking into the soil under her hands as her body relearned what it meant to be alive.

Dimly--very dimly--she was aware she wasn't alone. There were bodies close by, chaotic auras hovering around her. It should have been worrying, but fear couldn't push past the pain she was in. Even if it could, even if the world around her was moving at a normal pace, she couldn't have moved. It wasn't just the ache, fading to near tolerable even now. It was an overwhelming weight of fatigue. She could scarcely move, limbs leaden and heavy, and every breath she pulled now seemed like a struggle.

As the first signs of breath and pain made their way across her face, Khayman hurriedly darted forward, stumbling on his bad leg a moment before planting himself solidly by her face. Laying on his side, his deep golden eyes bore straight into hers, his tail curling around her hands to give her something soft to hold onto. Nosing her gently, Tsavolite couldn't believe how brazen the feline was being, considering that any amount of built up magical pressure could likely burst forth from the girl, not to mention the physical firing of nerves jerking her muscles.

An errant punch or kick could bruise Tsavolite, but injure the mau. But it was after all his funeral, so Tsavolite kept quiet. Perhaps his guardian cattiness would calm the girl? He wasn't exactly sure how corruptions went to be fair. He nodded with self satisfaction, crossing his arms haughtily. Oh the accolades he'd receive for helping corner and corrupt a senshi at such a low rank, his first real attending mission after the kidnapping mishap over a year ago. Not to mention his dismal energy gathering quotas. He'd been trying to fill them, but between school, and just trying to figure out how to casually steal energy during the day without being caught, he wasn't having much success. If only he had more power, perhaps he could pull it off the way he'd intended. Certainly this would give his superiors ample cause to give him a boost.

"I can't honestly say since I haven't devoted any actual measurable time to the self healing capabilities of Senshi, but I imagine her body is going through mild shock, Khay. You'd do well to keep yourself out of any backlash. And if she doesn't survive the shock, she's just a senshi. We take the starseed back and turn it in, call it a da-" he started, attempting to smooth talk over the cats perceived concerns, but was interrupted by an angry hiss and even more puffed up kitty cat.

"DO NOT SPEAK OF HER THAT WAY!" the cat rebutted, taking the lieutenant back with surprise.

Raising one eyebrow and tilting his head inquisitively, Tsavolite couldn't remember a time the mauvian had been this unwound over anyone. Usually he was stony-faced, a byproduct he'd come to understand, of Khayman's stoic and surprisingly shy nature. To gain his affection was easy, but to get him to show it so plainly.....that was something else entirely.

"Khayman, my friend....what is this girl to you?"
he prodded softly, speaking mostly to himself though he had an inkling. Khayman had always mentioned, in very brief, vulnerable moments, that he had regretted not following someone once. That he had been too overwhelmed by his new life to follow his instinctual pull to someone, resisting gravity until they had simply disappeared. It wasn't something he spoke of often, but he'd be gone days, sometimes weeks, at a time and then come home to Ollivanders apartment. He was always happy to see the cat return whole and safe if not a little ragged and underfed, and he'd made an unspoken rule of it not to question why the feline went out for such long stretches when by all means he was as negligent of his duties to the Negaverse as Tsavolite was.

Was this that person? Had he done something terribly wrong? He knew he had the capacity to screw others over for his own gain, but he'd never done it to someone he cared for before now. Not intentionally.

The cat turned to look at the blurry and recovering senshi, and rubbed his face into her hand, flopping down within her reach again, his voice calm and deep like usual.

"Everything. And Nothing."

There were voices pushing their way past the thundering drum of her pulse in her ears, though Pavo couldn't quite understand what they were saying, wasn't quite with it enough yet to comprehend, even if they hadn't sounded so distant. She'd been dead. Her heart had stopped, brain shutting down and body dying. She had been on the very brink of oblivion and whatever lay beyond. Then all at once she had been jerked back into this reality and this life. It was all a little much for the Senshi to wrap her mind around, even with the looming threat of chaotic figures standing above her.

Or, well, one figure standing. The other, she soon discovered, was much smaller, much shorter. A cool nose bumped her hand, soft fur pressing in against her palm, and when she opened her eyes there was a chartreuse pair staring back at her, wide with worry.

Their voices were growing closer. The agent first, asking a rather heavy question. Then the other, aura different, familiar in a way.

Who is this girl to you?

Everything. And nothing.

It took a moment for her muscles to stop jumping, for the pain to fade down to a tolerable level, and for her to remember how to speak. When she did it was soft, voice rough. "Where am I?" It wasn't the only question she longed to ask, but it seemed to most pressing, given the situation. Why aren't I dead? She had been, why wasn't she still? What did they want with her?

It was a guardian cat that was laying near her face, tail laying over her wrist, head resting on her hand. Like the one that had awakened her, but not entirely. This one felt different, in more ways than one. "Who are you?"

How did you let someone know they knew you from ages past, and how much they meant to you even if you hadn't realized it at the time? Khayman certainly didn't know, and so he worriedly stayed silent, a small grunt of anxiety sneaking its way out of his throat. Instead he looked back to Tsavolite, then back to Pavos, knowing his friend would understand. The young doctor had gotten particularly good at figuring out the cats silent ques.

Coincidentally, no ques were particularly needed. Instead, Tsavolite pulled a small pocket recorder out of his pocket and pressed the button, determined to turn this patient assessment into a somewhat useful information project.

"Lt. Tsavolite, PhD, Patient Flatline case study.

Patient is an adolescent female of....arabic? Indian...descent? It's hard to tell with the glamour to be honest. Patient is a white moon senshi, starseed removed roughly eighteen to twenty minutes give or take, pulse was flat and energy signal dipped to nonexistant so brain activity assumed dead. Patient's starseed was returned nearly four minutes ago, experiencing the usual shock.

Nervous systems appear to be in functioning order, will test for sensitivity to check for any apparent nerve damage,"
he ascessed, leaning over the girl to press his fingers to her throat, temples, rib cage, all down her arms and moving towards her legs before looking up.

"Let me know if you're feeling any numbness in these areas, I'm touching as lightly as possible, so having your senses a bit dulled is likely normal, but alert me if you can't feel me at all. I'm going to be your attending physician this evening, I'm Dr....Lt.....Hm. Khayman, must I really introduce myself with two distinctions or can I simply pick one? No matter, I'm Dr. Tsavolite rank is superceeded by a doctorate surely. Are you experiencing any tenitis, a ringing or muffle in your ears, or can you understand me? If your throat's too raw to respond properly, you can blink once for yes, twice for no."

Nuzzling against her face, Khayman managed to scrounge up some courage of his own, bolstered by Tsavolite falling into his usual clinical professionalism even if he wasn't quite as warm as he usually was with a patient.

"I'm Khayman, my lady. We met once before, in the park. I gave you quite a chase before we had a chat together. I apologize for my friend. He's quite....abrupt, sometimes, when he's working."
