arrow Provide a discussable topic in your thread. If it can't be discussed for more than a few posts, put it in our Off-Topic Thread
arrow Please stay on topic with the thread you are posting in.
arrow No repeat threads. Please double check the listing before posting. - This excludes ALL threads that have fallen off the first page.
arrow Don't revive threads with old news. - i.e. Outdated Harry Potter announcements or any other outdated events.
arrow Don't post in topics that fell off the first page/haven't been posted in for half a year. - Make a new thread if you see something back there you want to talk about. - There are exceptions to this rule, check the next post for the listing.
arrow DON'T SPAM! - Spam = advertisements, random one word posts, random single emoticon posts, and anything else that does not add to discussion. - Ads belong in the Student Message Board.
arrow Add a SPOILER warning to your thread title or your beginning post if you're discussing potential spoilers in Harry Potter or any other book/movie/etc.
A breach of these rules can result in thread locking, warnings, or banning, depending upon the severity of the breach.

As long as the thread/post is not meant to offend, yes, you may discuss controversial themes. Keep in mind that respecting other people's opinions is a rule.

So Juni, I've decided to lock a bunch of off-topic threads and threads that seem to be dead conversation. (Then the threads that have a sort of emphasis on any paticular thought could have maybe a symbol...maybe a '*'? I wanted to know your opinion...

Ehh...that looks like too much work for the repeats. If there's a repeat thread created in the future (I'm gonna try harder to look out for those now that I know, and hopefully the discussion in the repeats won't last as long as they have done in the past..."Snape's Good" for example)...
Perhaps we should just lock it and stick a post in the repeat thread with a link to the first thread made on the topic.
