( ) GaiaGirl ( ), Celestial_Archer History (How the Old Agancy Got Started): This started out, as the Avatar Agancy, way back when I was an extremely active member and I made banners and what-not for the guild and for the Hogwarts Monthly. I liked to use avatars of our actual guild members (especially since our guild leaders, like all of us, tend to gravitate toward wearing one or more objects than others and they become trademark). However, I did not like the idea of me using a person's avi without thier permission (what if they felt embarassed or something?) and I wondered if anyone actually liked to be posted about the guild. Thus the Agancy was born as a place for people to volunteer thier avi's and inform me of when they've changed them, especially if they particularly liked their current outfut. I soon found, however, that we spent a great deal of time just talking about our avi's. It made me think about how much time we put into our avi's and, if anyone was like me, then they spent the majority of their time within the guild and never really got to show off our avi's or be proud of them. Well, we don't really have a thread in the guild to do that. So, I decided that, even thought I don't have to time to save all the avi's, we should still get to talk about them. Hence this re-make of an old HPGOG past-time. The Avatar Agancy (Modeling): Now, making banners is a wonderful way to both support the guild and earna few house points to boot. Thus, I'm still making this a public thread (meaning: if you post here you are agreeing to let others use your avi in an HPGOG banner, etc.) I may still, occasionally, save your avatar in my computer and I've given a list in a post below of all the avi's I have from the past in case anyone is interested in using them. But, as I'm not able to be as active as I once was, I wont be able to save everyone's avi's all the time (plus, I'm not sure my compy would stand for it). However, if you would like me to not save your avi, for whatever reasons, then all you need to do is post so here and I'll make a note of it. So, since this thread's perpose is just to talk about our avi's, I'm going to add an "Anti-Papparatzii" list. Just post you don't want your avi to be used and I'll add you to the list. So, if anyone uses your avi anyway, without permission from you, I'll report them to the admin.
A Few Little Basic Rules: Follow the obvious basics: don't be dumb, don't do anything you're not alloud to do on any part of Gaia (don't make me have to come after you...)
No begging for items/money to get items/etc: no one should have to worry about being excited about thier new item (be it quested for, a gift, a donation/event item, or just a random shopping spree)
No bad-mouthing other's avi's: especially if they didn't post here or ask for any one's opinions (this is not a place for people to be mean-spirited)
I just know that a lot of us work hard for our items and so, when we get them or wear them, we like to show them off. Construcitve criticism is alowed if asked for, but that's just about it... If anyone breaks these rules (especially if I recieve a complaint), they will be warned or possibly kicked out of the guild (like if you are a repeat offender). Depending on the severity of the rule-breaking, I may even have to report the incident to the admin. Just know, I won't hesitate to get you kicked out of Gaia if you mistreat fellow Gaians. We all have our own syles and we all like our avi's to look just so, making fun of that is not funny.

...soon to be Avi highlight... *Avi Highlight* This will be the home of the lucky avi that I think is looking extra special lately; as both a "bravo/brava!" and a "thanks for hanging out with us!". This could be for many reasons. Maybe you usually wear a certain thing and have recently changed your look. Maybe I just think your avi looks festive for the current season or event. Maybe I just think your avi looks pretty darn nice/weird/cute/scary/etc. The point is, I'm going to post it here. I have no idea how often I'll get to change it, but I ask all mods to not change it unless you haven't seen hyde nor hair of me in two weeks. Small note: I'm only going to post an avi of someone who has posted in the thread, since they've bothered to grace the conversation with thier presence in the first place.

If you are looking for a Gaian to use in a banner, and you'd prefer to not upset theperson by not asking for their permission. Then you?re in the right spot! There are rules however. Rules:if the Gaian has any special requests in their post, you must follow them
the banner must be for this guild, I don't care if it's for your other HP related guild, or if that person is in that guild as well, take that up with them in a PM, I'll not be responsible for your rudeness 3nodding (but it doesn't have to be for the guild in general. i.e. it could be for the Hogwarts Monthly, your house, your quidditch team, a thread or contest you have inside the guild)
if you plan to altar the Gaian's avatar in any way (besides basic stuff that you need to do in order to put the avatar in front of a background), anyways, if you want to change their clothes or appearance or anything weird like that, you need to PM them and get their permission If you break a rule and I hear word about it, trust me I'll find a way to punish you, even if I have to go track down a Mod to kick you out of Gaia. I'm not even kidding guys. stare Tips: I just use "Paint" to make my banners(but this is on a comuter using Microsoft, sorry I haven't used an Apple since elementry school)

on Google heart I found these (you may want to check them out first because I don't have an experienced opinion of them)
if you find your uploaded image is smaller than how you saved/created it, check to see if you up loaded it as a Bitmap (bmp) and try saving it as anything else like a JPG or a PNG (thanks o0Pinkie0o for the advice wink )

It's very active. That's the only word I can think of to describe it right now...I like the skin with the water hair and the planets.
Gotta say the flames are a bit out of place...but then I'm wearing a Slayer Cloak over my Ravenclaw outfit. Can't talk much, can I? xp

I luff the color scheme of your avi, KT! It's so blue and very aquatic-looking. I agree with Alutian about the purple aura flames being a bit off, but overall, it's a great-looking avatar and the skin color really tops it all off.
Mine looks like a young girl right now...I feel like the blue lovebird is out of place, though. xd

People here have nice looking avatars. I love the cloak-cape-thingy. I love KTweirdchick's avatar and Alutian's avatar makes her look very Ravenclaw-esque. I agree with UchinaLuv about Miss Love Tantei's avatar-the matchyness is really good and the lovebird looks cute too! I really like UchinaLuv's avatar too because it's very original. 3nodding

Yeah... I thought the flames looked funny too, but I tried it without them first and it just looked very top-heavy... it also has on those weird eyes (I can't remeber what they're called)... well I have the butterfly ones on... my eyes looked really dull against the skin without it... I just got that superior form or whatever it's called (the skin), by the way, I'm glad you all like it... I'll just have to figure out how else I want to use it... I don't think the slayer cloak looks weird, Alutain... It does, however, sorta make you look like you just survived a visit to the forbidden forest... except for the fact that all your other clothes are all nice... sweatdrop

She was so trendy... and when she left, she gave me one of my most coveted possessions, my seal slippers... Awww! The Wild Things are sooooooo adorable! I want the Roc one, it looks like a Final Fantasy Chocobo. I love how the wolf matches your avatar's color scheme, Alutian! Looks fantastic.
