The shrine was a place one only went to so often. After all, she'd been so busy trying to save others and protect them in the realms. Had she any time to return to the shrine? Well, perhaps. If only to please the goddess.

The girl's pace was rather brisk as she stepped along the hall, pausing as she felt as if there was something missing. Weren't there more of those statues before? Not that it was of much concern to her. She edged closer to the ever busy looking goddess, peeking a bit at what she had before smiling as the figure turned.

A present? She loved those! The bag was happily accepted until she opened it... "Nothing?" The statement was more confused than anything as she looked back to the goddess, who was now seeming a bit uncomfortable. "Oh... we can fix it?" She replied, more pleased at the turn of event. Even if it meant work, that was fine! She could help after all. "I need to-" Stealing somethings heart seemed bad, but the goddess said it didn't need it so... so it was fine.

"Then it's ok?" She chimed while nodding at the command. She could do it if the goddess wanted her to. That much was fine. She turned on her heel after accepting the scissors, a quick salute offered over her shoulder before she practically pranced into the dark doorway. Never a second thought to what she was really about to do. After all, the goddess wouldn't do something bad!

As she stepped through the entrance she found herself at two gates, curiously tilting her head as she mused a moment. "Huh..." Then, without so much as any real consideration she went straight for the one in the middle. Because it just seemed like a good place to go!
PostPosted: Mon Aug 12, 2013 3:14 pm

Scissors in hand the girl moved along through the gate, listening to the snap as they shut behind her. She flicked her tail briefly before smiling again. That was fine, everything would work out fine. Though, it was then that she heard the sound a voice, far off calling her. No, perhaps not calling. She wasn't entirely sure as she moved on, briefly stopping as her gaze, previously filled with darkness, was covered with the faces, still but familiar. It paused briefly, on a single one she couldn't quite recall. Staring back at her, seeming a bit lost, dazed, but a reflection of herself. She tilted her head to one side as it all seemed to fade to nothing at that point, curious to the meaning of it all, still. It was gone now, just a memory that wasn't that important.

It was like the bit about soda and homework. Past and gone. She didn't care too much as she continued to walk along the path. Her own footsteps seemed to hold no weight, lacking even the quiet scuffle they usually had as she felt the darkness grow, hands outstretched a bit to her sides. Where had she gone now? Where was this? There wasn't anything to find, to see, or so she thought anyway. And suddenly she found herself bumping rather rudely into a box. A crate. Something larger than herself perhaps? It was hard to make out even now. The thud that sounded was not from her bumping into it, but rather something inside. She placed her hands upon the surface of the thing before moving along, feeling at it.

There was no way around it? She reached upwards, curious to the height of it just as the thing opened, her eyes widening as she looked to it. Out flopped a shape she couldn't comprehend, feeling idly for it as she tried to figure out what it was she was seeing. It made no sense as she felt the sheets sliding through her fingers, snagging lightly on the claws as she tugged herself up to the now open box. And then she saw it, realized what it was even as the dull thumping noise sounded in her ears.

The heart, her task was before her, behind the many sheets of cloth. She need only make her path to it. With that she began snipping, cutting away at the fabric baring her path with the scissors. Each tie coming easily against the sharp blades as she slowly worked toward the glowing thing of cold. Strings now, woven delicately as the bands of one's life as she tugged further at it, working toward her goal. And with a few last snips she'd gotten to it. And then she reached out, touching the beating surface briefly before plucking it up, out as images once more swept over her mind, tearing at her thoughts briefly.

Fields filled with insects and greenery, or perhaps more of a brownish hue as they threatened to wilt were all she saw as she happily spun before letting her weight fall to the ground. "It's much better! See!?' She cried out to the figure near her, who stood solemn and staring into the far distance. The figure shared her face, the way her hair stood and bent, even the few strands that refused to be tamed. And yet a different hue, much more pale. Even her eyes held their own color as they stared off lost.

"I guess." Was the slow reply as she was shoving herself back to her feet, prancing over without a second of hesitation.

"You guess? Come on, it's better than sitting at home!" The figure briefly looked to her, out of the corner of her eyes, then back to the expanse that lead off to the forests not far from home. "I can imagine this too." The other girl stated, musing briefly and then seeming lost once more as Simply approached. There was a brief pout on her face as she moved to place one hand in front of her far less animated companion's face as she waved a hand. "But being here is more fun?" A blank stare was the return she got as she sighed before flopping on the ground beside her.

"You know, even if you think about it it's not the same!" They were here and Wander already went back to that place? Well she did do that a bit, but... "Hey... Hey.. Are you listening?" She looked up a moment to the still figure beside her, who after a moment, looked back down. "Huh?" A smile as she cocked her head to one side. "Where'd we go?" Then a slight shake of the other figures head as she sat down as well. "Oh... well-"

And then it ended as abruptly as it began, leaving her holding the now still head in her hands. Well that was a bit more than a few blips of words. But even so, she didn't understand. "Two of me?" She said it quietly as she looked down at the heart, then placed it in the bag in silence.

Why were there two of her? Well either way, she had to go. She had to return it. The goddess was waiting after all. So with that she hopped past the crate and on moved further down the path. She just had to get back now.

As she continued to walk she found the ground ever changing. The firm, solid feeling of it beneath her feet turned to murky slosh that pulled at her feet. She wasn't exactly pleased with the feeling of the sludge between her toes, but she didn't complain and merely kept going, pushing further, further along. What was one a mere bit of water turned to shallow pool, then further up... further along. She felt a shiver run through her body as it reached her knees and then a quiet voice in the distance.

Please give it back. Her head turned as she heard it, curious. But even so her task was nigh finished. She had to move on. She'd only taken it from a bunch of cloth, nothing more. The heart was her's now, was it not? She'd done nothing wrong. The goddess had said they didn't need it, they didn't make it.

Further down, ever deeper the water grew. Before long it reached to her neck as she halted, not sure how to continue. What could she do? "Ah..." Dare she swim through it? Or perhaps there was another path she'd missed? She was about to turn and see when the voice hissed, seeming right behind her.

Please give me back my- As she turned she found herself suddenly pushed down, facing something with hollowed blank eyes, no life to them as she gasped for breath and only found water flooding her lungs. Even as she couldn't speak the thing seemed hellbent on issuing it's demand once more, it's voice so close to her own. GIVE ME BACK MY HEART! HAnds like claws shoved against her as another memory dared to interrupt the moment, as she felt as if she herself might die at this point.

The house wasn't exactly tidy, sounds of footsteps thundering along could be heard overhead as she leaned against the table, her chin cupped in her palms. "Waaaaaander~" The figure wasn't responding to her as she looked at it. While it was looking straight at her, no recognition of her existence was made. Rather, she felt a bit ignored as she edged a bit closer, pulling herself up on the table. "Hey... what are you thinking about?" She found herself sitting on the table, staring at her own image as she eyed the figure, leaning a bit closer till their noses were almost touching. And then, as if snapping back to some reality that hadn't been there before, her sister was looking at her directly. "Oh. Simply." What? She'd just now-

A defeated look was offered. "Yes. Me. You said we could go-" She was halted by the smile that briefly graced her twin sister's face at that point, as she leaned back a bit. "I had a lovely dream." A dream? What kind? Now she was curious as she shifted to flop down a bit, head cocking to one side as she sort of lounged on the table without another thought. Still further the sound of young voices, boys, sounded from upstairs as if there was some mock fight going on. Yet both seemed rather oblivious to the entire thing as they spoke. After all, it was only normal their brother's were playing. "What kind? But did you forget, I'm going soon, you said we could go shopping before I left!" After all, Wander needed to help her choose some new things before she left for school. It was rather important! "What if we never were?"

What? She merely looked on confused at that point, her previous comment lost in what her sister had said. It wasn't meant to be morbid, her sister wasn't that way. She just... over thought things. Yet again it seemed. "Dunno. Wouldn't be here?" She replied, cocking her head to one side. "Why would you dream about not being here?" Then then smile was back as Wander gazed toward her. "Because I did." She stated rather plainly.

And then, once more the images, all of it faded to reality. The reality of her fighting for her life as the dead looking figure was holding her down. Sister... would her sister be so angry? Would she do this?
PostPosted: Mon Aug 12, 2013 3:36 pm

No, she didn't have time to question it. She... even if this was her sister. She was hurting her! "Stop!" She tried to cry it, only getting more water in her mouth as she thrashed against the figure, fighting for the surface again. It happened then, without her really meaning it or thinking of it as she moved to shove the thing away. The scissors plunged deeply into the figure and it let out a painful wail as it seemed to vanish, leaving her gasping on the ground, surprised at what had happened.

What had..? She couldn't even understand why it was now gone as she coughed up some more water, looking about at the inky darkness as she was suddenly greeted by light. Brilliant, shining hope as she slowly pushed herself back to her feet, bag still clutching the bag in her other hand as she stole a few steps in the direction of the exit. And then a pause after a moment, looking back slowly. "Sister?" Her eyes fell upon the figure watching her, clutching the very instrument of it's demise in it's hand. Silent, watching, waiting... ever void of true recognition. It's eyes were as dull and empty as her sister's when she went off somewhere, elsewhere in her head. To a place she couldn't follow, that she had never been able to go to. "I... why would you come here?" She asked quietly, receiving no response. It wasn't that different from the usual as she quickly took a few steps and ran along down the path.

Perhaps, maybe she could save her. Bring her back? If nothing else she could ask the goddess. The goddess would answer her question after she'd done as she was asked. She'd be thankful after all! Yes, just like that she'd find out what happened. Why her sister was locked in such a dark place. Mylisp could save her that way, certainly. "I'll be back!" She cried to the darkness, and then she exited. Left to find the goddess.

The shrine was always an interesting place to visit. Or so was Mylisp's opinion. Particularly because the goddesses were such peculiar things. They did... weird stuff. She toyed with a lock of her hair as she roamed into the shrine, pausing to note the statues as she roamed up to the reddish figure that greeted her today. This one spoke of something new.

Something interesting perhaps? She didn't really like the idea of eating anyone, but... "M'not scared?" How could she face fears she didn't have? The goddess then drew closer, circling her as she turned repeatedly, head tilting to one side as she spoke. Find out? Well, that was fi- OO A PRESENT!? She took the dagger, peering at it curious. IT was a LOT smaller than her sword, but if the goddess gave it to her it had to be useful? And as she was examining it she noticed it suddenly rust, and then the words were said of her being ready.

To which everything went dark.

How long had passed Mylisp wasn't sure. But when she awoke she found herself on a cold hard surface. Not the most comfy, really. She quickly rolled over, yawning as she stretched and blinked her eyes open. And instantly shut them. "Too bright!" She hollered, rubbing her eye with one hand as she tried to adjust to the lights while wandering through the room idly. Honestly, she didn't much care to examine it and instead moved straight for the door, her steps confident, as she finally adjusted enough to leave her eyes open an unshielded. As she opened the door she found herself in a long hallway, the end stretching for what seemed eternity. Odd.

Oh well. Not much to worry over. She idly turned, starting along down the hall with a light bounce in her step, even as an eery sense of dread threatened to try and set in. It was so quiet, so clean, so... utterly perfect. And yet not a single soul anywhere? Somewhat peculiar. Then the first thud. Echoing down the hall as she spun to look. Nothing. "Hello~?" Her tone was friendly as she glanced around then shrugged. She began walking once more, finally making out the signs of a red exit sigh ahead. Then another noise behind her as she peered back once more.

Empty? "Are we playing hide and seek?" She inquired, her voice carrying down the hall as she waited a moment. Then a shrug and she lightly began walking along once more, humming to herself as she did. Once more the sound. This time she spun quickly and finally spotted the figure. One her own size, almost a mirror, freakishly twisted, of her own image. Slowly... slowly it moved along, the creak of the scissors in it's hand opening and closing as it did. "AHA HA! GOTCHA!" She shouted, grinning at having won the game. But it didn't reply, just kept moving. She cocked her head a moment before the concept of what they were doing set in. "Oh! OH! HIDE AND SEEK! OK OK! GOT THIS!" She then turned, darting down the hall as fast as her legs would catch her, cheerily shouting behind her as the thing continued to step along after her.

"Catch me if you can!" It probably wasn't the wisest of decisions to antagonize it... or even tell it to chase her. But it was too late as she ran, reaching the door quickly and pausing to tug at the handle.

"Open open!" She called, only then noticing the bright red words. "Pass....code?" Her eyes fell on the pad, then the door. One more tug before she figured, maybe, she should try to follow the instructions.

She lightly tugged at the door again before looking around, curiously toying with a bit the wall as she tried to spot what it could have been she was looking for. Uhg, why did it have to be a passy-codey. She didn't like remembering these things. Thankfully, a distraction came at that point in the shape of memory, something she didn't even know she'd forgotten.

She hopped a few steps before turning, much younger than she was now. Bugs scattered in every direction as she kicked as a few flowers threatening to wilt to one side as she looked up at the figure that was, while coming, moving quite slowly toward her. "Waaaanderrrrr~ Come on we're going to be late!" She called, halting to bounce in place a bit as she waited for the mirror of herself to catch up.

Which only seemed to give her the reason to slow down. Since the gap was no longer growing. She couldn't really let her get TOO far behind though, she'd just stop somewhere an- "No no no don't look at the cloud!" She called, raising her hands to wave them eagerly to try and once more draw the focus of her twin sister, hopping and calling as loudly as she could.

It took a few minutes, but finally the sunshine hued gaze did fall back on her slowly. "If we miss the eyescream truck I'm gonna cry!" She called as her sister started moving again, walking slowly at her once more. They'd eventually get there... maybe.

Oh... it occurred to her at that point as she looked up at the figure moving in her direction. They'd played these sorts of games before, hadn't they? ..was this common for them?

'Tsssk always impatient... demanding... so selfish.' The thing stated, still moving along toward her even as she mused over the true meaning of the memory. "Only wanna have fun." She replied, smiling again before turning back to the door.

Right! She had to get out!

And then she spotted it. An odd scrap of paper to one side. She plucked it up and eyed the letters curiously, flipping it over a few times. Ok. Numbers meant letters. And?

Uhg useless~! She hated these clever puzzly things. "Can't you be more direct!" She called, stomping a foot before going back to work trying to figure out what that passcode might have been.

Uuuuhg she didn't like trying to figure it out. She punched at the buttons by the door, glaring at the repeated 'REJECTED' light that went off as she stomped a foot again. And then, rather than trying to reason with it she kicked the door, causing her to fall flat backwards in the process.

Woops. Not to graceful.

"Yo never did anything right... always cleaning up your mess, always-" What was it going on about again? Bah, she was always helping people. But for now she really had to work on getting the door open or she'd lose this game of tag!

It was then she finally noticed the other slip of paper. She started at it a moment, then picked it up. Holding both next to each other...

Nope she didn't get it. Still, it made some sense. It was about five inputs later that she managed to put two and two together and get the code right. Well. She made it? "I'm winning~" She called playfully over her shoulder at the figure before darting out the door.

Totally winning this game of tag. Totally.

As she exited the hall she found herself graced with a much more stark landscape. Well, things were back to normal? Ahead was a forest, a path running through it. Really, what better could she ask for for tag?

She pranced a few steps out, peeking briefly behind her to see if the game was still going. Yep. There it was. She gave it a light wave as it tried to be ever so menacing as it briefly raised the scissors, which glinted in the faint light.

SNIP.

Ah right. It was going to get her. "Gotta caaaatch mee~!" She chimed, giving her tail a quick flick before darting along down the path. She wasn't going to let them win easily, not at all. She ran straight along until she reached the bridge, pausing as she eyed it a moment. Still, there wasn't a way around it. And the person who was IT wasn't too far back. She was, in fact, just about as fast as she was. Well then she'd have to cross. Like it or not... here she went!

And then she quickly began to hop along across the bridge, managing to move along rather steadily. She was nearly across when a cry following a snap of wood caused her to briefly glance back. Her other self had apparently nearly slipped, the wood had broken in a spot and they were fighting to get back up.

"You got it?" She questioned, tapping her chin as she mused a moment. The few threats and taunts sent at her seemed enough. "Kay, well then keep trying!" She chimed, sticking out her tongue briefly before turning to continue along down the path. That thing wasn't going to catch her with that kind of effort!

As she trotted further along the path she found herself finally hitting a dead end. She tilted her head a bit as she looked around, musing a bit. "Tsk hard to play when it ends..." She grumbled, rubbing the back of her head as she tapped at the ground with one of her feet. What to do.

She didn't have long to wonder though, because soon the sound of footsteps and the scissors opening and closing reached her ears, drawing her attention as she smiled with a laugh. "Ahahaha- guess I lose! Found a dead end, huh?" She called, crossing both arms behind her head. The gravity of the whole situation still escaped Mylisp, even to that point. Even as the words of the goddess echoed, causing the dagger in her hand to glow she didn't seem to get it. Guess the game was over.

"So what now?"

That question too, was answered in the odd form of a set of images, playing as if on an old film strip before her head. Her voice... a tone she didn't normally hear... how strange.

"WANDER! WANDER WHERE ARE YOU!?" Her voice was a bit strained as she shouted, eagerly digging around in each bush, behind each tree. Oh god she'd gone and done it. She really, REALLY had! Where was she... where had she gone? "Wander we're not playing anymore!" Another bush shoved down as she pouted finding it empty.

They'd just been out for a walk. A normal, ever day stroll through the forest. They did it often. It was so, so very normal. And yet today she'd run ahead, hopping up into a tree to run along a few branches for fun as Wander moved along at her usual slow pace. She'd gone too far ahead, just a bit too far. Now, now she couldn't find her at all. "Waaaaaaander!" No reply came as she scampered up a tree, peering around through the branches to see if perhaps she'd catch sight of the familiar blond locks from there. Nope. Nothing. A few more hops and she was at another tree and froze as she finally spotted what looked to be the top of her sister's head. OH GOOD! FINALLY!

She darted over, confirming the figure that was leaning against a tree, seemingly dozing as she stared vacantly ahead as per usual. To which a pout crossed Simply's face. Really? "Wander!" She moved over, leaning down right in front of her sister to the point nearly their noises were touching. Only then, did her sister seem to notice her. "All done?"

What? "Why didn't you answer? I was looking for you!" A gentle smil, ever patient as her sister chose a few words to explain. "I was just thinking." Like always really. "And?" A pause as she frowned at her, tail flicking back and forth. Here she was all worried and her sister just went off into her own world again?

She should have known.

"It's really nice weather." ...this argument wasn't going to get anywhere, was it? "Yes, it really is."

Huh, well.. that was odd. She tapped her chin a bit, tilting her head. "You were worried I'd lose you in the woods again?" She inquired, watching the freakish figure curiously even as it still moved closer. Was that the point? "Well you've gotten better at following me, right? It was just a game." She added with a smile, slowly steeping toward the figure. All was well now, they could go home. "So let's go home, I bet the goddess wants to see you t-" Her voice caught in her throat at that point, a sharp pain filling her from her as the scissors dug into her flesh.

Why? They were going to go home now. Well as home as it could be. "Wan-der?" That was her name, she'd called it many times in those memories, so... so why? She slowly felt herself slipping a bit, slumping down as the figure drew her closer, against the so similar form as the scissors plunged a bit deeper in to reach their target. "It'll only hurt once." Was the only reply she got, even as her form felt numb, even as she could hear the snip and felt the tug of her own heart removed.

She couldn't move as she slumped to the ground, the world darkening as the figure left. She couldn't understand it either. Why didn't it want to go home? Why couldn't they be together like always? Wasn't that... how it was meant to be? Hey... hey Wander... why'd you do that?

Not that she'd hear, even then the figure was retreating with it's prize from winning the game of tag. Even as the world hadn't left her lips. Was that how tag was supposed to end?

TEA CEREMONY
Come here for tasting~
PS: Italics for the memory.

A yawn escaped the girl as she made her way along to the shrine. Down the walk and straight up to the goddess without so much as a card. She beamed happily at the woman as she stepped up, grinning at the sort of awkward goddess. So silly. Though she wouldn't say no to a treat. "Ooo thank you~!" She plucked up a few, munching at them as she paid only minor attention to the babbles of the goddess.

Something about... uh huh and..? Well ok. That all seemed fine and such. "So we're having a party?" She loved parties, she hadn't been to a tea one before, but it was like any party right? Having fun, playing with friends? It sounded great. "Definitely the best task you three have suggested!" She called cheerily, grinning as she lifted her hands to stretch and started after the goddess. Oh, a few crumbs. She licked a few last bits off her fingers before walking along with.

The first thing she noticed was the crunch of noise under her feet as they sank in, blinking curiously at it a moment before lifting her foot and stepping again. Huh. She trailed one of her pawed feet along through the snow a moment before grinning. "Interesting..." She stated simply before finally noticing the table before her. Oh! Thing! Mylisp pranced over to it, curiously staring at the two jars a moment before choosing the pink one to drink down without so much as a moment of hesitation. Pink was such a lovely color.

And ah, it was a lovely feeling too. She giggled giddily as the table spun, turning about in an interesting manner as she watched. It stopped after a moment, now adorned with what looked like treats. This goddess thought of everything! "More snacks~!" She chimed, once more reaching forward as she happily snagged several cookies. More of them was always better. She was just managing to finish the handful as she realized she really needed something to go with. Sadly, no milk was around, but there was tea. Hmm hmm, well they were all pretty, but she drank something pink once already. White was so.. plain. So boring. So instead she grabbed the yellow cup, happily sipping at the concoction as moment as her head filed with excitement, her heart seeming to skip a few beats at the endless possibilities that flooded through her mind. And then slowly, she felt her mind drift off somewhere, something drawn out by the tea.

She was literally trembling as she watched the pair talking, hardly able to control the energy inside her. After all, if they said yes she got to go on an adventure.

Well not a real one, but it would be awesome and cool and everything good!

Her eyes darted between her mother and father as they spoke, exchanging opinions on the matter. On one side, it could certainly teach her to take care of herself and be more responsible. On another side. She might really get herself killed without someone to keep an eye on her. Pah, no she wouldn't. "I'll be fiiiine~!" She chimed, halting at the glance as she smiled again, her tail flicking happily. Totally ready for this. And then another point.

They were debating if she'd actually learn anything. Even if it WAS a famous school, what if even they couldn't get things to stick in her head? She probably she'd have been offended it was her parents discussing her like that, but really her mind was still stuck on the prospect of getting to go to a school. A school with dorms, and other students, and fun, and-

She wanted to gooooo~!

There'd been much debate since it had been brought up. Partially about how she'd even potentially managed to get accepted to it as a potential school. That one baffled everyone. But her parents were all for new experiences and the kids bettering themselves, just... maybe this one wasn't a good idea. "Simply, you know you'll have to remember a lot of things." The implication was specifying what her mother had been mentioning for a while. Eating, sleeping, which room was her's. "Are you sure you'll really be fine?" They didn't want to stop her, they were just... worried.

All they got was several nods as she grinned at the two. "I won't forget anything important!" Somehow they looked like they didn't believe her, but a sigh escaped her mother as the two parents shared a look again. "I suppose... but if it's too hard, you can come home." She let out a whoop as the final defeated statement came from her father, bouncing off her chair a ways and leaving it clattering to the floor as she gave the kitchen a quick circle. "I'll do my bestest best!" She called joyfully, only starting to imagine what it would be like.

She'd never been outside of their own small town. So going to a large school... with tons of people? She'd make so many friends and- And she just couldn't imagine anything that could be more fun!

She blinked a bit as she came, back, a smile still on her face as the warm bubbly feelings were still present in her mind. Fun. Yes, it would be fun. Had it been? She couldn't say really, she didn't recall anything beyond that. But so many people. It sounded amazing.

Though she paused at that point, setting the cup down as she noticed a book on the table at that point. She lightly plucked it up, flicking through the pages. Such pretty handwriting. She should do that from now on. And then... "I get to see what other's remember?" She called happily, her tail flicking to and fro. That sounded fun. Amazing really. WELL BEST TO GET STARTED!

Colour of Tea Tasted: Pink
Description: Happiness, Anticipation, Hopefulness.

Your commentary on its flavour: The pleasant flavor was warm on her lips, and she couldn't help feeling excited even before she saw what was happening in the memory. It seemed like such a good time for the owner of this memory. She was getting to go somewhere she really wanted to, even if her ... family? Seemed concerned.

She was certain the young girl would do fine for herself. The enthusiasm was something that Zanna found hard to miss, and it almost left her bouncing in her seat, too, when the memory was over. That was nice. She liked feeling so much hope for the future.
