Prelude…
It was clear that there was some division among the pride members. Those who clung to the old ways, the belief in the muses, and what they had considered to be a gift in insanity had kept to themselves and seemed almost bitter in their new lives. Some would spend many hours looking into thin air, others had wandered off in search of their muses and afflictions, finding the changes far too much to tolerate any longer. The majority of those that had embraced the new way of life, the new goddess and her gift, and the new leaders appointed to the pride were those from the outside. An uneasy balance existed between the old and the new, one that could easily become a problem if things shifted in the wrong direction.
Shandor Riddle-mouth was not one to test fate or throw his lot into a gamble with odds as risky as this... rather than see the pride descend back into chaos and madness, as he perceived the state of the old ways, he met with the gypsy queen and devised a solution...
They needed more young ones to enter the new ways. Young minds to sculpt and shape to pave the way ahead for future generations. But promoting couples was a risky business as well... most of the gypsies had already created a litter or two. Even the queen had brought forth two fine litters for herself. They needed more blood for when the cubs were old enough to bring forth.
No more than five scouts would depart. The most stealthy, the most cunning, and the most loyal would be issued to the task. They were the eyes of the Gypsy king and queen, and they would find new, young blood to strengthen the new ways…

Conclusion…
In the end, the Bahari and the Kizi settled the affair peacefully. Several cubs decided to stay with the Kizi but most were sent home with their original parents. Thanks to a handful of mediators, the tensions were eased between the two prides and a resolution was reached- the prides were to be allies. Both suffered from a catastrophe that hit their numbers and both faced the threat of having a shallow gene pool within only two generations. They resolved to meet once a year with their young adults to encourage the bloodlines of the prides to mingle, boost their numbers, and ensure that the bond between the two prides strengthened.
OOC Notes…
• Breeding is now encouraged between the Bahari and the Kizi! Families have the option of moving to one or the other without penalty.
• Kizi are no longer allowed to steal or cubnap from the Bahari.
• Times have changed! The pride changed hands and in order to make a transition that made some sense both in character and out of character, we had to make quite a few changes. Members no longer happy with the Kizi are given the pride’s blessing to leave to stay with the Bahari as an obvious alternative.

Prelude…
It was the last thing that Shandor wanted to hear that morning.
Strangers were to be expected, and welcomed if they meant to stay, but bad news was neither expected nor welcome. The two came in the same package and the news had left the gypsy king rattled. The patrons were called to patrol the boarder, doubling their numbers and doubling their shifts. While the mutterings of the fortune-tellers was normally something that Riddle-mouth wrote off, something seemed all too real about this particular fortune-teller's vision. A seer, and apparently, the child of a god.
"You have run from the past so long, it seems it's come to find you." The fortune-teller's warning rang in the back of his mind, "You've invited the muses back in without even knowing it. Seems their followers are not too far behind. Brace yourself."

Summary:
A strange pair of fortune-tellers entered the pride's territory months prior to the first annual Mummers' Ball. The one that would later be known simply as "Wizard" foretold that a storm would bring the past roaring back into the pride and that things would take a turn. Beyond that, the pride was left to speculate and assume the worst. Days later, a strange band of colorful lions announced themselves at the border. Their leader, Besnik, claimed that they were followers of the goddess of Insanity and had come to restore the muses.
The newly united pride faced the very real threat of an internal division once more. Rather than send the newcomers in, they were cautiously welcomed into the lands to await the pride's decision. Besnik requested a small plot where he and his followers could worship their goddess and live with their muses in peace, but there was something strange in his eyes. The fortune-teller's warning haunted the pride and they were slow to receive the lions that called themselves "The Dreamers".
It was decided that it would be wiser to keep enemies close rather than loosing a band of lions into the wilds with a chip on their shoulder. Riddlemouth decided to grant the Dreamers their plot and set out to find a location within the pride's territory where the Dreamers could exist without causing any trouble. On his way, he was ambushed by a bright-pelted stranger who claimed that Riddlemouth was unworthy of his post. Muhali interjected and sent the stranger away shortly after a physical confrontation between the two males. Strangely, Besnik had vanished, leaving many to suspect he had something to do with the attack. A new leader was appointed for the dreamers and Muhali took charge of their upkeep.
Conclusion:
While there is clear division in their opinion on the dreamers, the Kizi have decided to begrudgingly accept the strangers into their lands. The dreamers will be limited to a small patch of territory within the Kizi lands and kept under a close watch to ensure the safety of both the mind-lost dreamers and the rest of the pride. The rank "Dreamer" has been created and pride members now have a choice to exist in the bliss of insanity, returning to their muses, or to retain their wits and live as gypsies.
OOC Notes…
• Muhali has revealed herself! Word will spread quickly regarding this. Every pride member will have a different opinion about their old patron's re-appearance. Some will see this as a good thing, others may see this as a very bad thing, while still others might not have an opinion. One thing is for certain, Muhali is back within the lands!
• The Dreamers are now a part of the Kizi! This allows for lions to return to a state of insanity and regain their muses. However, they are a part of the pride and they will still require a gypsy name before they are allowed to breed. They also are restricted to a small part of the pride and discouraged from roaming too far on their own. Please read the pride info for information about this!
• Xipil is the Dreamer Queen! Besnik is assumed to have vanished and there are some that believe he was behind the assassination attempt. If he makes a return, we'll work out a plot if need be. For now, dreamers answer to Xipil!
• The mummer's ball is coming up soon! Keep posted for updates.

2014 - The Mummers' Ball
Prelude…
The sky was brushed only with a few whispers of clouds over the dark canvas of the night sky. The full moon hung high overhead, illuminating the sea, the sands, and the shining trinkets of the gypsies down below. A few fires had been built up, mostly with the help of the goddess Muhali, and around them a few mumers prepared their songs, dances, and tales.
The borders were open. The patrons were on a strict stand-down order. Peace was the song of the night and his lady was the pride itself. She stood ready, waiting by the sea with open paws. The young gypsies were eager for what fresh blood might breeze through, eager for a taste of something exotic.

Summary:
For the first time since the founding of the Mummers' ball, the pride is able to kick back and fully enjoy the festivities! The borders are open to rogues and pride-brothers and sisters alike for a night of song, dance, and mingling. The mummers break out their instruments, fill the night with song, and the pride dances around the bonfires that dot the edge of the sands.
Away from the commotion, Fire Dog greets a pair of Bahari members who have come a little late to the party. Apparently, something massive has washed up along the coastline. As an offering of their friendship, the Bahari invite their neighbors to come and enjoy a feast of exotic seafood.
OOC Notes…
• Relations between the Kizi and the Bahari have grown stronger! The prides have celebrated two years of friendship and the whale's feast may become a part of the future festivals...in one form or another.
