NAME Georgios Grimm
AGE 12
OCCUPATION none yet
FAMILY youngest sibling of the Freds; older brothers include Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm

POSITIVES inquisitive, quick-thinking, determined
NEUTRALS stubborn, occasionally distant
NEGATIVE spoiled, impatient, demanding

APPEARANCE
Little "Georgie" is the youngest of the large Grimm family brood and the well beloved baby of the family. As such he has been endlessly spoiled and is rarely seen without the company of some sort of protector -- whether it be one of his brothers or a trusted hired bodyguard. He is generally well dressed, less because Georgie cares about what he wears and more because his family is bursting with pride for him. He wears miniature versions of current male fashions, often in velvets and silks, his outfits being of far better quality than that of the rest of his family, and coming complete with all the necessary accessories -- he owns a bewildering array of tiny hats, canes, pocket-watches, and handkerchiefs with his initials on them. Unlike his mud-splattered brothers, Georgie's hair is a rich golden brown with a beautiful wave to it, and as adorable as he is now, there are already hints in his young face of how stunningly attractive he will be when he reaches full adulthood. Like many children his age, he is very active but still just a little roly-poly, with pinchable soft cheeks and a slightly chubby little body.

PERSONALITY
Georgie is determined to get into everything and anything. Being raised on the near worship of his family has not helped his ability to discern or understand any sorts of boundaries, though he is cautious where personal danger might be an issue. He wants to know everything about everybody, no exceptions. Like his brothers, Georgie's concept of morality is fluid at best, vindictive at worst, and he is not generally accustomed to waiting very long for things he wants. Despite this, his family's constant habit of praising Georgie's cleverness had led to a surprising willingness to learn, although he often gets frustrated when he cannot learn things as quickly as he likes. While his morals are often lax where others are concerned, he is surprisingly protective of those he deems to be "his." If someone is accepted as a friend he will stand staunchly up for them, whether or not it is wise to do so.

SKILLS
There is more to Georgie than one would expect from a child his age. He is a voracious reader, can write passably, and is comfortable with more than one language. He can also pick locks, climb up the sides of buildings, and knows how to determine whether or not several types of metals and precious stones are real. He is surprisingly good at math, so long as monetary values are involved, and has a custom set of brass knuckles that he carries with him everywhere, which he also knows how to use.

HISTORY
Georgios Grimm is the youngest and final son of the Grimm family, the beloved and spoiled baby of the bunch. Almost universally, whatever he wants he gets.

Lately, what Georgie has wanted is to wear breeches instead of petticoats, to cut her hair intead of curling it, and to tromp about and learn all the things that her brothers have grown up knowing -- how to win a street brawl, how to forge documents, how to fake tax payments, how to bribe officials, and how to beat up someone that owes the Grimm family money. Little "Georgie" Grimm is actually Georgina Grimm, the only surviving daughter of the Grimm line and their adored princess. For reasons of their own, it is universally understood by the brothers that it is little Georgina that will eventually be in control of the family empire, giving Georgina both an increased responsiblity and an increased sense of importance for someone so young.

In truth her actual gender is fairly obvious, as she is lax about hiding it, and growing up with six brothers has lead to a confused idea of what girls should be like in any case. But her family name and her close association with her over-protective brothers leads many to simply nod their heads and nervously accept that Georgina ought to be called whatever she wants.

Ariana

User Image

Little Ariana is everything that her Chosen is not: shy where Georgie is gregarious, cautious while Georgie is rash, easily embarrassed, apologetic, and nonconfrontational. People in general seem to make her nervous, and she tends to shy from strangers, even going so far as to hide behind Georgie or whatever other obstacles might be present. As such she is thought by others to be surprisingly obedient, considering who her Chosen is -- she would much rather do whatever someone wants of her in the hopes that they will thereafter leave her alone. She is much happier in quieter settings, and if someone is quiet and patient, she does like to put her head in laps and have her incredibly soft ears stroked. Oddly enough, she is also very much enamoured of music, and will sit in quiet fascination to listen to it wherever she finds it. Even rhythmic poetry can have this effect on her, whether or not she has any grasp as to the meaning of the words.

This has sparked a vague interest in art in her Chosen -- and Ariana's shy caution is a good leveling balance for Georgie, who at her Guardian's insistence must slow down and think about everything that she does.

The Choosing

The voices on the other side of the door are a soft murmur that rises and falls in incoherence until Georgie very, very carefully wedges herself against the door and puts her ear to the crack. With her eyes closed, it is easier to focus and tell the different voices apart.

" .. gone for three days, and damned if she didn't take Jay's favorite stallion. We were mad with worry."

Wilhelm, she thinks to herself. His voice is still hoarse from shouting at her. She is not altoghether certain she forgives him yet, even if Jay said it was just 'cause he'd been worried. It was still mean of him to yell.

"Oh, bloody hell." That's Fred, Georgie thinks. His voice makes her smile, even if she doesn't know which one it is that's spoken. She'd know if she saw them. She likes them -- they aren't quite all grown up and boring yet. The last time she was here, she remembers that they taught her how to make obscene noises with her armpits, and her nurse at the time had had a fit over it. "It wasn't our letters, was it? Damn, Wil! I wouldn't have written to her at all if I'd thought it'd lead to this --"

"No," says Wil. She can almost picture him shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose, teeth clenched together like when he's upset. "She's had this bit between her teeth for a while now. I think it was those stories about the wolves -- she's convinced that she'll be able to face off against them. So off she goes on a horse that's damn near big enough to trample her to pieces, and we find her camped at the tree, pretty as you please, asking us what's taken so long!"

She can hear the Freds choke with sputtered laughter, and she smiles in the dark hallway.

Wil is less amused, and growls something under his breath at the twins that makes them shut up. It makes her mad at him all over again. It'd been a fun moment: everybody's eyes had just about popped out of their heads! Why should Wil have to go and ruin it every time someone brings it up?

"You wouldn't laugh if you'd been there," Wil continues darkly. "Three days with no sign of her, and no sign that someone might have taken her -- anyway, we took her back home, had the damn thing made into a necklace to shut her up, then forgot about it until a fortnight off."

She can hear one of them sigh. She wonders which one, but doesn't dare look.

"When it showed up." This is one of the Freds. Now he just sounds tired, and she wonders why.

"When it showed up," Wil agrees, with a sigh of his own. There's a creak, perhaps as he leans back in his chair. "So once it had, we knew we had to bring her along. You've got one of the damn things -- maybe they'll both get into less trouble with another playmate."

In the hallway, Georgie frowns, then leans away from the door and looks at the little gray shape shivering against her legs.

" .. you're not a damn thing," she coos to Ariana, in the softest whisper she can manage. "Or an 'it.' You're mine." Her caresses on Ariana's soft little head soothe them both, and after a moment she turns away from the closed door and wanders back down the hall, back to the cot they have set up for her. It will be fun to live in the city for a little while, she thinks. The Freds have always been lots of fun, and maybe they will even let her stop taking her usual lessons while she is here. Ariana follows back after her, relieved; the strange voices had made her shiver, as if she'd known she was under discussion and suspected the speakers of malicious intent.

Oh, The Possibilities

Often Found
Georgie is supposed to spend most of her time at the tavern that her brothers own and operate in the city, helping keep the books there and spending the daylight hours on her studies. In truth, for the most part she follows them around, sneaks away from them, and in general spends most of her time getting into mischief wherever she can.

Opportunities
At the moment, the Freds are desperately looking for something to keep their sibling busy -- an apprenticeship, a tutor, or a safe place for her to spend her day. On her own, Georgie is likely to get involved in anything that looks interesting, whether it's glass-blowing, a street-fight, or a game of cards. Despite her youth, she's actually quite good at most games of chance.
